I took her to pets mart couple for grooming service last year. The staff in pets mart told me my dog is scared of grooming so she gave up to give my dog grooming service. So I only gave my dog hair cut at home(very ugly). I thought this is what she looks like. Until Connie gave my dog hair cut...After her amazing work, my dog is new born angel now. Miscommunications occur, apparently. On Friday at 1:10 PM I received a text from Connie. She said she texted me, but while she said that, I found it hard to believe as we chatted for a good 10-15 minutes, receiving plenty of text messages on Friday, yet nothing since Monday. Anyway, at 1:39 PM she sends me a screenshot. I'm guessing her graphics that she uses for her MMS was not compatible with my iPhone. I will bump this up from a 2 to 3 star because she did reach out after reading my poor yelp review. But she says my initial yelp review was unjust, which I still disagree. I was very impressed with Connie. We asked for a nail trim, sanitary hair trim, and paw hair trim. Benny is a big puppy Golden Retriever. It took about 4 hours and I paid $75. I would do it again. I usually bathe our dog but its really tough to trim the hair around penis and anus. Connie did a great job around those areas. I would like to show but 1. its kinda weird and 2. My pup won't stay still. Anyways just take my word for it lol. In the past we used a mobile groomer in irvine but it was disappointing. We paid a lot more and the work was nothing too impressive. We live in Garden Grove but always make the trip to Connie's every time we need to get our dachshund freshened up. Connie is always so accommodating. I usually text her a few days in advance to see when's the best time to take him in. She always responds quickly and is always spot on with her times. She even knows all of Hunter's tendencies now, and does an amazing job keeping him comfortable. Hunter drools when he gets nervous, and Connie found out right away the first time we took him in. He hasn't drooled the last 5 times we've taken him in, and she always lets us know how good he was. After Connie's, he's always super soft and as my roommate says "he smells divine." There's usually a good amount of dogs every time I come. Today there was about 4 in kennels, a golden retriever being washed off, a Maltese being blow dried, a poodle on the ground licking itself, a couple more terriers fenced in the front, and my little guy fenced in the middle of all the action with a comfy rug to lay on. She does a great job of keeping all the dogs happy and relaxed. They all just stared at me without a peep when I looked in. Well except for Hunter. He was excited to see me. Prices are very reasonable and depend on your dog's size and breed. A grooming gets our little guy bathed, anal gland and ears cleaned, and nails trimmed. A small price to pay to get Hunter pampered and keep him happy at the same time. Connie always texts me to let me know when he'll be ready to be picked up too. I appreciate the fact that he's able to go home as soon as he can. The next time Hunter decides to roll around in the lawn for no reason, we'll be back. read more

My puppy is 8 month old mix of mini schnauzer, Chihuahua, poodle and Scottish terrier. I took her to pet smart when she was 4 month old, and they did a very crappy job. Connie's place is right next to my dog's (Lexi) vet, so one day when I was waiting in the car I noticed her shop and looked her up. Based on the reviews I decided to give her a try. She is awesome. She is very good with dogs, she is very knowledgeable and friendly, and flexible. I felt so comfortable leaving my puppy with her. This being her second grooming, and being puppy and scared of the clipper noise and all the other un familiar factor, Connie did a great job. My puppy is super pampered. I baby him and fret over every little thing that gets done to him. My sister took her dog to Connie when she used to have him and recommended that I take my pup here. I was very reluctant to try a place just based on reviews so when my sister gave Connie a glowing recommendation, I had to come here. I live about 25 minutes away. Sure, there are groomers who are closer to me. But after Hunter's first visit with Connie, I knew that I would make the drive each and every time. 1. You can text Connie to set up a time to come in. It makes it much more convenient for me to be able to do that. 2. She is extremely friendly. She sends us a postcard every month or so if Hunter has not been back. She even remembers Hunter and how he is. She reassures me that she will take good care of him. 3. She cares about her clients (parent & pup). She texts me a picture when he is done. She puts water out for him. She keeps him separated from the other dogs when he seems skittish. She recognizes him when he comes in. How great is that?? 4. Prices are very fair. I've been to a few other places and her prices are competitive. Coupled with the great service, I definitely choose Connie. 5. Hunter comes home super sleek, clean, and he smells delicious. I'm very sensitive to smell, and the powder she uses on him is light and easy on the nose. My experience has been exceptional with Connie. Typically, Hunter is there for about 3 hours for a bath, nail trimming, and other cleaning (anal glands, etc). I highly recommend Connie. read more

Alright, there were a lot of components that led to this 2 star rating. Let me elaborate: Immediate reaction to the cut: My dog came out looking adorable. I liked his cut and my only complaint right off the bat was a few uneven parts on his back/sides. But no biggie! 3.5-4 stars for how he looked... Then, I pet him and his fur was flying everywhere... Simply putting my hand on him and slightly ruffling his fur caused a bunch of hair to float everywhere and get all over my car and my clothes. The main reason I get him groomed is to control his shedding. Every single time I get him groomed he comes back clean and doesn't shed for 1-2 months. I think she probably gave him a bath and then cut his hair instead of doing it the other way around. It was ridiculous. I had to brush him out and give him another bath because his fur was getting everywhere; Service/interaction with Connie: She was quick to respond to my texts and I appreciated that she was able to get me an appointment quick. I dropped him off at noon and was told he would be done around 5:15-5:30 pm and she would call me when he was done. I got a voicemail from her around 4:00 pm saying "your dog is done". So I wrapped up at the office and went to go pick him up. Upon arriving she took one look at me and this exchange happened: Connie: Uh I said I would call you when he was done. He's not done. Me: Oh, I got a call from you! Connie: No I didn't call you. Me: Yes... I have a voicemail from you..? Connie: No. Me: Umm yes let me show you the voicemail... Connie: I didn't call. Me: *plays voicemail of Connie's voice informing me my dog was done" She apologized profusely and I was alright with it at that point. She didn't mean to and it wasn't a big deal I got to go grab a drink and a snack while waiting. I did not have a sour taste in my mouth and I would have given a 3-4 star review if his cut was awesome. But when I came back and his fur was flying everywhere... Nope. I should not have to brush or give my dog a bath right after taking him to the groomer. read more

We've been taking our dogs to Grooming by Connie for many years now, and she always does an excellent job with our bichon and chihuahuas. Our generally neurotic and xenophobic dogs actually enjoy the experience and get excited when we walk into her salon. They always come back beautifully groomed and happy! Connie loves and treats every dog that comes into her salon as if it were her own. She is certified in many grooming techniques and is always continuing her education and certification on the latest techniques and products. She likes to give every dog the individual attention and time it deserves, and she frequently takes walk-ins to try and accommodate her customers. With that said, I don't recommend taking your dog in on a strict timeline with the expectation that she'll always work her magic by an exact time. She generally gives and meets realistic time estimates, but if you always give her the time to work, you and your pooch will be 100% satisfied with the results. If you want to force your dog through a stressful assembly line grooming process to get him or her in and out on your busy schedule, then go somewhere else. If you want your dog pampered, happy, and groomed within a reasonable amount of time by a wonderfully talented groomer, go to Connie! read more

I want to start out by staying Connie is one of the best groomers I've ever been to. She takes a really really long time, but she does a great job! I live really far from Connie-- to about an hour and a half away far (all the way in Loma Linda) .. but so far, she is the ONLY groomer that has been able to give my fur baby (massive fur ball Japanese Spitz Mochi) such an amazing groom that he doesn't shed for weeks! I've brought him to many other groomer who want to charge me more time for extra brushing, and even with the extra brushing, Mochi still sheds at home. But not with Connie! He is always silky smooth, beautiful and most importantly, very throughly brushed and shed-free!! CAUTION: I always add 2-3 hours on top of the time Connie quotes-- she does a fabulous great job, but for some reason isn't very good at giving out accurate quotes on time. haha :D read more

Connie is the best groomer we have ever been too and I will not go to anyone else in the area. I am really picky about my groomer because my girls are my babies. I have two tiny pomeranians and they are hard to groom because they have really thick, full double coats and are skittish. My dogs really like Connie and always look great when they are done. Around the holidays, she puts the cutest little bows and feathers in their coats and they stop traffic they look so cute. I love that she takes the extra time to make sure my dogs look fantastic. She is easy to talk too and will listen to what you want. She let's the girls run around and play in a play pin when she does not have too many dogs. She is also affordable. I first took my dog Ace to Connie a couple months ago. I called on a Friday and she took him no problem without an appointment. When she called me to tell me he was ready I was out at the beach and she was totally okay with me picking him up anytime as long as it was before she closed. When I picked up Ace he looked amazing! I just took Ace back for grooming yesterday. I again, called Connie without an appointment and she again let me bring him in regardless. (Im not good with planning ahead). He is stubborn and sensitive to tools and noises. With other places either they totally drained out his energy and my dog just collapsed the next day, or they use solutions that gave him bad allergic reaction. Connie is my savor. I used to get my dogs groomed at my vet, but they recently got bought by another company and with that came a lot of changes and old staff leaving including my groomer. I was really mad that I was going to have to find a new groomer. I found Connie on Yelp, called and tried to make an appointment for the next day but she was booked. She said that I can leave my number just in case she has a cancellation. The next day I received a call from Connie and brought my dogs in half an hour later.I forgot the name of the gentleman at the front who helped me, but he was very nice. I was nervous to see my dogs.
