John was very friendly and you can tell has a genuine passion for what he does, and it shows in how he treats his staff. The restaurant is clean, free of dust, trash, and they have music playing. The sandwich bread comes from up Fresno I believe. I had to ask because of how soft the sourdough bread is. They bake the bread to ensure it is fresh and soft. I also opted in for macaroni salad which was surprisingly delicious. The macaroni was firm and the dressing and overall dish was nice and cold. I appreciate a good sandwich that isn't salty, and this Rattler was a perfect balance of bread down to the lettuce and sauce. Surprised this is my first time seeing this place. I would order that again to take home and serve with dinner. I love the kale salad and it never disappoints. Cool and sweet and getting your greens in is a win! However, the two other Jewish deli spots have really gone downhill and Scott's just keeps on delivering great food, hearty portions and fast, awesome service. The menu is massive with all day breakfast and lunch, and if I lived closer, I would absolutely have made this a local spot to frequent for a taste of home. Plus they have several vegetarian items on the menu and even a vegan breakfast dish! We weren't allowed to dine in, so we took our order to go & ate in the car. I got the veggie reuben & my man got the number 3 (turkey sub). I also ordered 2 knishes (1 spinach & 1 plain) and a black & white cookie. The reuben was scrumptious with the buttery crisp toasted rye bread and packed with veggies. The pickles on the side were not as crisp as I would have liked but still good. The turkey sandwich was not piled high as expected but it was still a good amount of turkey with some cheese & toppings. It was so filling he could only eat half & saved the rest for later. The bread was plain white sub roll and was soft and chewy. No complaints on the sub and he enjoyed it. The knish didn't look like the ones I grew up eating, but these were homemade and way better than the square patty style from the hot dog carts in the city. They were packed with filling and had a thin crust layer around (definitely needed to eat with fork). The spinach was spread throughout & the combo with potato was even. Love that the black & white cookie was homemade! These are my favorite cookies & I always have to get one when I go back home to visit. These were different from the bakery ones I usually get (this icing was soft rather than hard shell type), but it was still delicious! I'm a pretty picky eater and only allow myself one cheat meal a week, so choosing where to spend it is a serious decision. MELT happened to be open, and Chloe convinced me to give the chicken a shot. I'm glad I listened because it was genuinely really good! My only suggestion would be swapping the canola oil for olive oil, but other than that, no complaints. Now, the REAL winner was the chocolate chip cookie. Absolutely insane. Perfectly cooked, super chocolatey, and easily the highlight of the meal. I personally would've liked a little more dough, but that's just me. My only complaint? $5 for ONE cookie is a little wild when McDonald's will give you practically ten for the same price. The ice cream was just alright, nothing I'd go out of my way for. But here's what really earned this place five stars: Chloe. As the chef manager, she delivered some of the best customer service I've experienced in a while. Genuine personality, incredible charisma, and absolutely none of that forced, fake customer service energy. I asked a ridiculous number of questions, and she never once seemed annoyed or impatient. She actually took the time to help me figure out what I'd enjoy. You can have great food anywhere, but it's the people who make you want to come back. Chloe absolutely nailed that. I'll definitely be returning to try some different menu items, and she's a huge reason why. Give that woman a raise!

The place was super clean, and I immediately loved the laid-back neighborhood vibe near Roosevelt Row. I ordered the French dip sub along with a munchie- pretzel nugs. Cheba offers three sandwich sizes (Nug, Pinner, and Blunt), which makes ordering easy depending on your appetite. Everything came out fresh and flavorful, and the pretzel mugs were especially good, soft and salty, Parking here is a little more limited than some other locations, but overall I really enjoyed my first visit and was happy to learn there are multiple Cheba Hut locations around town.
