    Chocolate Croissant! Delicious!
    Ramon F.

I have visited R&B Kosher Bakery a couple of times plus have received some baked goods from this bakery as well. One thing you have to be aware of is that there is a reason why it is a kosher bakery. Understand that on Friday afternoons and all day Saturday, this bakery is closed due to observing the Sabbath. Other than that, I have had the best scones I have ever had here. They have bagels and I have to tell their bagels are huge. Their service is always good and they are there to please their customers. The bakery shop is small with a few tables for customers who want to have a coffee and a nice baked sweet or whatever fancy's your taste buds. One item you should try is their chocolate croissant. Always ask them if they have other baked goods and in some cases they will bake for you. They are located in a small strip mall on the southeast corner of Butler Avenue and North 7th Street. From what I can tell most of their customers live nearby who frequent this bakery. The people who run this bakery are very friendly. Stop by and check them out even if you don't purchase any of their goodie's. Who knows you might help to bake something special for you.

Paid for an entire napoleon cake because they don't do slices. Unfortunately this cake didn't have the creamy custard filling that napoleon cakes are supposed to have so it was just pastry with lots of pretty flavorless whipped cream. This isn't the traditional recipe and no where near as good.

Kosher bakery with non-dairy selections baked fresh daily. Run by friendly and warm family.

I am so grateful for this bakery. Fresh baked goods and such pleasant service. I just finished a tasty tuna bagel with a cappuccino (about $4) that was out of this world. I love that I was provided with a number of options to make the experience quite delightful. I enjoy being able to have a lovely kosher breakfast again in Phoenix. Prices are also very reasonable for a kosher bakery that must pay for supervision and forgo offering standard non-kosher food items that support non kosher bakeries. I just ordered a custom cake that is a duplicate of one made for a recent school graduation where I first tasted their expertise. I've never seen a group polish off a parve cake so quickly. All I got was a corner end with a bit of icing and had to check this bakery out. Highly recommend. It won't disappoint.

New, nice & clean local family run business. Strictly Parve Kosher bakery, featuring cakes, pastries & cookies, all made fresh daily. Easy to find and plenty of parking too. It's definitely worth checking out, and enjoy! Closed on Shabbat (Saturdays).

Bagels so big it fills the Togo box.

I had noticed R & B on my new drive to work down 7th St. and wanted to try it. It did not disappoint. Orly, the owner was a treat to speak with. I was lucky enough to arrive as bagel came out of the oven. I ordered an Everything Bagel with Cream Cheese. She let me know they only use fresh ingredients and I was amazed by the sheer size of the bagel. I was fortunate enough to share half with a workmate and he agreed that it's the freshest bagel we've had in the valley. Will return for bagels and to try the amazing parties in the cases there!

I've tried to make it at home too but it always tastes a bit off; sometimes it is not soft enough, and other times the flavor isn't quite there. One of my friends dropped off this loaf, so freshly baked the loaf was still a little warm and minute beads of condensation were forming on the top of the bread bag. This challah was fantastic. The bread was so tender, the taste rich, and the outside perfectly browned. Thanks to The Challah Factory my toddler is now officially addicted to challah. It is a restaurant with a mini market which makes it feel so authentic. However, upon my first visit I didn't really look around the market but I did purchase a zero calorie Salaam cola which tasted exactly like Coca Cola. I ordered chicken shawarma plate and for appetizers I got the falafels. I started with the falafels and they were surprisingly not dry at all. I was not sure what kind of sauce it was served with but it paired well with it. The plate portion size is no joke...Everything on the plate had a huge portion size: the salad, hummus, rice, and meat...all of them...Every bite with the yogurt sauce was flavorful. And then I tried a bite with hummus, rice, chicken and the sauce...wombo combo flavors. Unfortunately, I couldn't finish all of it so I had to take a to go box home. On my next visit I ordered the beef shawarma plate and I was not disappointed at all. After finishing with an empty plate, I walked around the mini market. I noticed there was allot of Middle Eastern food, candies, and drinks. I really enjoyed my Salaam cola on my first visit but they did not have the zero calorie version in stock...I did research on the brand and I found that they created the cola to provide aid to countries like (free)Palestine and Yemen which I deeply support. Besides the food, I also saw keffiyehs on display which I liked as well. Overall, I rate this place a strong 10/10. I will come back to try other entrees and desserts like their baklava cheesecake. Goldman's Deli Where Your Soul and Your Stomach Both Get Hugged…read more If comfort food had a headquarters, it might very well be Goldman's Deli. Walk through the door and suddenly you're not just hungry you're home. The smells alone could make a grown person misty-eyed. Now let's talk about the pastrami. Lean, tender, and stacked so generously you start wondering if the sandwich needs its own zip code. One bite and you understand why people keep coming back. Two bites and you're already planning your next visit. The soups? Forget therapy have a bowl. Rich, comforting, and restorative. The kind of soup that makes you feel like somewhere in the kitchen a grandmother is quietly nodding with approval. And then there's the gefilte fish. Not the ordinary, polite little slice. This one is special delicate, flavorful, and downright magnificent. Even people who say, "Eh... I'm not sure about gefilte fish," suddenly become believers. There's a little schmaltz, a lot of love, and the unmistakable magic of real Jewish deli cooking. Eat there, take some home, and tell your friends because food this good shouldn't be kept a secret. You might arrive hungry, but you'll leave smiling, a little fuller, and possibly needing a short nap which is the highest compliment a deli can receive. And as they say with a wink and a warm heart: "Zei gezunt, un es gezunterheit eat in good health!" Or in plain deli English: "May you always be healthy... and may your sandwich always be this good." So I trecked 5 miles out of my way to Goldman's (when Chompie's was just a mile away --frankly I don't know why I didn't think about chompies) I ordered the chopped chicken liver appetizer which comes with slices of tomato, a piece of lettuce, slice of red onion, and challah bread. I paid $15.01 for this platter (lol) without a tip for a small scoop of the liver. Just look at the photo. I was shocked to see how small it was. I thought that with a base price of $13.99 that the scoop would be bigger or at least the same size as in the past when it was $9.99. The challah bread was yellow but did not take like challah. Yellow bread slices do not delicious challah bread make--no yeasty flavor as any good challah would have. So here I am regretting that I didn't give chompie's a try. I can assure you that I will not be returning to Goldman's. I know ingredients have gone up but this price for such a small scoop is an affront to the wallet.

To get attention for service, we had to ring a bell at the front desk three times and we had to ask multiple times about our soup. However, our other two dishes came out extremely quickly and the restaurant made it up to us by giving us an extra soup, which I appreciated. My friend and I shared the samsas, pilav, and the laghman soup. The samsas were extremely disappointing-the meat was tough and needed more flavor. The pilav was the best dish we had-the rice was cooked perfectly and seasoned well, although the meat could have used more flavor and there could have been a better rice-to-meat ratio (the pilav was about 90 percent rice). The laghman soup was OK, although nothing special-the noodles did not look hand-pulled or made as is traditional with this soup. The medley of foods on the menu was interesting, especially for a kosher restaurant, but ultimately fell short.
