We had another fantastic time at the Sandtrap during our vacation. Since we own a timeshare there, it's a yearly tradition that we look forward to. It's more than just a golf clubhouse; it's a great restaurant with delicious food, excellent service, and wonderful company. Check it out!

The food here was amazing. We went for breakfast and they had a variety of options. The food was really hot and fresh. The bacon and sausage weren't precooked meats and were so good. The pancakes were very fluffy and buttery and the grits were absolutely delicious. The restaurant is off of a golf course and was very cute and quaint. There's plenty of seating and it's very spacious. There's plenty of parking as well. The service was good and waitresses were very friendly. It just took awhile for the food to come out.

Solid Brunch Fare. Welcoming service - aka Southern Hospitality. Home fries could use some more spices imo

Shrimp Tacos were great. Just the right spicing in the dish. For $14.00 .. recommend.

Waitress attentive. Atmosphere was casual not too crowded. TV's surrounding bar area, plenty of seating. Would not recommend if you want a full course dinner. Very simple menu with breakfast and lunch being a staple.

I've were in the area for a long weekend with friends. My husband and I decided we wanted to go grab a quick lunch, so a Yelp search netted several chains but then we saw Sandtrap. My husband loves golf and my mom worked at a golf course when I was a kid, so we thought it would be fun to eat at an eatery that is adjacent to a golf course. When we arrived, the parking lot was pretty full, but the restaurant had just a handful of people. We took a table outside overlooking the first tee and watched golfers tee off. Our server greeted us and got drinks for us...a gin and tonic for me and an ipa for my husband. For our meals, we got a house salad with balsamic, the tea-brined wings and peel and eat shrimp. Everything was good. The wings had a pretty strong vinegar flavor and were slightly dry, but the flavor was nice. The prices here are pretty good! My mixed drink was only $6. If I lived nearby, I'd walk over, enjoy some good food and a reasonably priced cocktail.

I stopped here on my way back to Duck coming from Holly Ridge Golf Course to grab some lunch and a few beers. I found the whole experience very pleasant and the food appetizing, yet nothing to write home about either. I actually enjoyed the Buffalo Fried Shrimp more than the chicken sando. Perfectly fried and I couldn't stop popping them into my mouth. If you like buffalo chicken wings then you will like these guys. If you're getting an app with your meal, get this one. I thought the Pickle-Brined was pretty good. The pickles, potato bread, and crispiness of the breaded chicken were all great. I think an area of improvement could be made with the seasoning of the breading on the chicken. It tasted kind of bland and really held this sandwich back from what otherwise would have been a really good southern style fried sandwich. I did really enjoy the fries that came with it. Overall, it was a nice and refreshing dining experience after coming off an extremely hot round of golf. Considering how crowded and pricey some places in OBX can get Sandtrap Tavern had none of that. Overall a very positive experience.

For all the ratings and comments and price I expected something better. Home fries aren't even homemade. Grits are a joke.

Not too shabby. We ate breakfast on the porch with our dog while watching golfers nearby. The "big boy platter" was pretty delicious.

It can transform an ordinary drink into something special. It makes the magic of coffee last throughout the entire day. I was immediately welcomed when I walked into the Outer Bean. Initially, I was bummed because cortados were not on the menu. I asked the barista if she would try to make one. She said sure. I gave her general directions and she walked to the espresso machine. A couple of minutes later she handed me a cup with two shots of espresso and a stainless steel pitcher with steamed milk. The barista said, "Why don't you add the milk in so you get it just the way you want." I thought this was a thoughtful gesture. I thanked her and made my cortado. We chatted a bit. It turned out she is Thai and my husband is Thai; and I love to talk about Thailand. I took a few pictures. We exchanged goodbyes and I exited the cafe with a genuine smile and a very positive impression of the Outer Bean. Smiles are free and they can elevate and/or improve any situation. Plus, folks always look better when they smile. I hope you make this world a better place by sharing your smile with someone today. Thank you to the barista at Outer Bean who shared her smile and made my day brighter. Enjoying life one cortado at a time!

Yes, it was 11:00am but they didn't close until 12:30p. Typically this family run restaurant does a cafeteria style line but off season it's table service. Yeah for us! Food was cooked made to order and SO delicious. I opted for a breakfast quesadilla and a side of pancakes(2 for the senior option). The salsa on the quesadilla was super tasty hint of garlic and fresh tomatoes. The super short stack of pancakes went to my belly quickly, hope I got photos. Service was spot on. Yes, a couple more people came but our server managed everything perfectly. From now on, we won't be driving to the Nags Head location, because I'm bumping the starts at this location.
