Sanders Lock & Key - Front door - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - San Dimas, California

I've actually have come to this locksmith a few times for different jobs. Once I had a difficult key I needed to copy, and after going to three different places this was and is the only place that was able to copy the key . The quality of their work is one of the best in this area. After that first time I've been coming back & recommending this place to anyone that needs a locksmith. They are really honest when it comes to their prices. Some things , depending on what you need done are a bit expensive,,, but the excellent work/service they provide is worth every dollar. (Side note) the people that work here are not students,,,, they are masters !!!! Their work speaks for themselves. read more

Sanders Lock & Key - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - San Dimas, California

2001 Corolla needed a spare key. No transponder No remote. Just needs a blank key to start the car and open the doors. When I was at the Costco and the Key Van was outside, they quoted me $63 showed me a picture then showed me the dealership average price. I told the guy this car has no remote and no transponder. How many unsuspecting people young and old get the same info and decide to buy. Always call Sanders to make sure. This place is the most honest and reliable place around whether you deal with the boss/owner or anyone else. $6 bucks a key and I only needed one, but got two. The last time I came in here the team member said ok we need to order the key, but for $5 bucks more we can order you a blank key with remote. Turned out the used car I bought had use for the remote key for doors and trunk release. This is what I'm saying. Sanders is the best. I refer everyone there. read more

I just moved into an older house and I needed 3 deadbolt locks replaced and one keyless pad installed correctly. The problem with this older house was all four doors were misaligned. ADT couldn't not install the keyless pad. I have a home Warantee plan but chose to go with Sanders Lock & Key to make sure the job was done correctly. Eric came out and did an excellent job of repairing each of the doors quickly and efficiently and gave me recommendations on how to fix the bedroom doors. Being an older lady, I really appreciate the service Eric provided. Thank you Sanders. You were well worth the cost to repair my doors. read more

Good service, fast response and they did the job right and quickly. What else do you want from a locksmith?

I called Sanders Lock & Key because I was having a problem with a residential door lock. To save on the service call, Eric suggested I remove the lock and take it too the shop. I took the lock to the shop where they inspected the mechanism. It was a simple fix for them so they didn't charge me for the repair. These guys were great! My call was answered quickly; it didn't go to voicemail. On the call, Eric took time to understand the problem and offered guidance. Not only did they not charge me, but they also provided helpful info to prevent issues in the future. read more

Hello, I needed a key fob for my car the one I had broke didn't work. I had called a dealership omg! That was a mistake, they quoted me almost $500 for a replacement when I called Sanders lock and key. They quoted me a lot less, I was in shock . I ended up buying two key fobs one for each vehicle I owned the price was very affordable. The person who assisted me was very knowledgeable and professional. I will go back to Sanders's lock and key. Now I know where to go when I need replacement key fobs. I will let friends know the service I did receive at this shop. Great experience.! read more

If you want to use this place, call first. And if you call, make sure you're very specific on what you will be needing them to do when you get there. And if you don't interrogate whoever picks up the phone enough and show up when they don't have anybody to make a key, then the lady will tell you that you're wrong and it's your fault for showing up. I called and was very specific that I needed a key made and to make sure they were open. The gentlemen said yes they do that and they'd be open another hour. When I showed up thirty minutes later, an hour before closing, a lady said that they had no tech there to cut keys. Now mind you, this is Sanders Lock & Key who doesn't have anybody there to make keys during business hours. And when I said I called, she snarky responded "well you didn't talk to me". Well I talked to somebody who worked there and he said to come on down. Fortunately there was a place in Covina that handled it. Take your business elsewhere. read more

We went to Sanders to see if they could help open a portable home safe that had a barrel lock that had jammed. Chris came out to greet us and had the safe open within 10 minutes. He and his team were friendly and efficient. We'll be referring them our lock and key business going forward! read more

I have long used this business but prices have suddenly skyrocketed. I went in yesterday for 6 copies of a house key and the bill was $45. It was a five-minute job. That's twice what it would have been a year ago. I don't think I would trust them with a bigger job such as re-keying a door or the like because the price would be out of sight. read more

I recently lost my husband to cancer. I needed to fix the lock on our custom door. I walked in and explained what I needed and instantly starting crying. I was embarrassed as there were other customers in the store. I simply couldn't hold it in any longer. I am truly grateful for these employees. They saw my grief and anguish and helped me and were so kind and empathetic. Thank you for being kind and getting me in and out. When I was a kid, there was a key maker in a very small, stand alone building up the street from us. The building looked like a tiny house and the man, a slight, demure, vertically-challenged gentleman in his 60's, would read the newspaper in there all day. Every once in a while, my mom would go get keys and I loved going with her to say hello to the man in his little house. I'd stand on my tippy toes and watch his machine whirr and buzz until a shiny new key plopped out of it. Sanders Lock & Key is not a tiny house but there is a kind woman who is here ready to make copies of your keys. I pulled up into their parking lot on a weekday, put on my mask nice and snug, and walked up to the outdoor counter. Sanitizer was out, next to a sign that said to ring the bell. I gave it a ring, sanitized the tip of my finger and the lady was out almost immediately. She was wearing a mask, which I very much appreciated. She asked what I preferred (key wise, of course), took my key to the back for a couple minutes and came right back out with a perfect copy. I handed her a few bucks, said thank you and was on my merry way. I didn't get to watch her machines whirr and buzz, but at this point in my life, I already know the drill. I appreciated the COVID precautions, her speed and efficiency and of course, the reasonable price. Plus, it's better than going to Lowes or Home Depot. WAY less people (which means way less COVID) and way better to help a small, local business. Thanks, Sanders! read more

I'm not one to start a five star review with OMG of any lock and key company, but Sanders Lock & Key did it for me. The 1975 British Triumph TR6 that I now own and is in the literal middle of my yard and has no keys. I have searched high and low for a competent locksmith to just cut just an ignition key for my investment so that I may steer this car. Sanders jumped on this challenge and cut the proper key on the first attempt. Wow. OMG. I'm both speechless and relieved. Thank you Sanders! read more

Good service. Professional. Eric explained the issue with a key problem of hiring another locksmith that only set one key instead of both that was sold to me. I wouldn't have known. I'm grateful to honest businesses. Be aware of independent locksmiths that work out of their own vehicles without legit references. I'd hire Sanders Lock and Key again! Thank you! read more
