I accidentally locked myself out of a room, and unfortunately, the latch had broken. After spending a couple of hours trying suggestions from ChatGPT, friends, and YouTube, I finally decided to call a professional. Had a Smart lock situation with dead batteries and lost keys. Eric was very prompt to respond and gave me a time and price that I couldn't pass up. He showed up promptly at the time we had agreed. He tried to pick the lock first, unsuccessful. He then went ahead and created a key, but unfortunately that too didn't work. The man even tried to use physical tool to manually unlock from underneath the gap. While I greatly appreciated all his efforts, at the end, I was left with a bill for $100 for his visit and a key, which by the way did turn out to work but only after the lock was successfully picked by another locksmith for $120. This is just my experience and does not invalidate the many other great experiences other customers have had. Lesson learned. Carefully assess the level of urgency as that will likely dictate the cost. If at all possible, get a free quote if available, otherwise it'll cost just to have someone come out to take a look, regardless of whether your problem has been resolved. read more
