Wow...some of these reviews I don't even get. My mom just had a lock on her nearly 100 yr old home on Badillo fixed by Greens just the other day. Great service and super reasonable price. I personally have used Green's for everything from changing the locks at my business to making me a key for my Dodge Ram which worked like a charm...computer chips and all, and a variety of other security and lock work over the years. My house key got stuck in the lock. I called right as they were closing and asked them to please come out and get my door opened. I am about 3 minutes away from shop. I was rudely told that it would be $120 just for them to show up and that was just for coming. Parts and labor were extra. The person I talked to showed no desire to help a potential customer. And certainly no desire to help someone in need. I would never do business with this locksmith and certainly would not recommend them to anyone. Thank goodness a friend recommended a handyman who not only got me in my house but replaced my lock for only $30. read more

Is there a no star option? Do not make the mistake of having your car keys copied. They will do it even without warning you about the transponder. They copied my car key, knowing that there's a possibility of it not working due to not properly programmed transponder. Key did not work and i still got charged full price of whopping $45!!! On December 30, 2016, I had four duplicate keys made by Green's Lock & Safe for an old Schlage double sided key. The cost was $4.95 per key for a total of $21.6, including tax. They did not work and I returned them. Instead they hand filed them, the teeth were almost filed away and were nearly unrecognizable from the original. These re-worked keys still did not work. By this time, the store was near closing for the day, so I was told to come back Monday, January 2. I returned on that Monday expecting to get a refund, they never offered one, when it was previously implied. At least that is what I understood that last time I went to the store and they said, bring them back. Instead, they said my key was so old, their machine had difficulty with it, and since my lock was so old, it would probably fail one of these days anyway. Let me add their blanks were aftermarket copies that were not the same quality as the original. To their credit, they did offer that I remove the door hardware and they would re-key it for the keys they just duplicated. I found that odd and once received they could tell be that the mechanism was so old, the hardware had to be replaced. Especially since it was mentioned several times that this lock would probably fail one of these days and I would not be able to unlock it at all. Regardless, the duplicates were now butchered keys. To me this was similar to going to the same surgeon that botched the first surgery. Wouldn't you go to someone different and better? So, I left unhappy with the results. A couple of weeks later, I went to a ACE hardware where they ultimately made 5 duplicates at one fourth the cost of the four Green's Lock & Safe had made me. The ACE ones work and they are of same quality as the original Schlage keys. I had been a customer of Green's Lock & Safe since the 90's. They re-keyed all my locks in my first home and provided me all my new Schlage door hardware when I moved into my home in 1998. They have now lost my business over this $20+ incident. Granted, it may be a long while before I have another costly purchase such as new door hardware. Never the less, there are other locksmiths. read more
