Wow. I love to support small local businesses. Very happy to highly recommend Barney's! All the fab reviews are right on the mark. I needed a new 2007 Scion key, as it was about to break, and had been gorilla glued to the max by previous owner! The gent had to put a lot of work into getting that glue off so he could make a new key and rehouse it, or whatever that's called. There was even glue inside the key battery. This business is beyond awesome! I had a problem with a key copy that I made at Lowes. I got new key copies, but I went home and tried those keys and they didn't work! He made me more keys, and I went home and tried again. Those didn't work either so he drove over to my home in the pouring rain, and figured it out for me. All it needed was WD40 and the keys worked. I was super embarrassed, but he now has a customer for life! Support this guy, and don't waste your time with those automatic machines found at walmart or kmart. He can make a key copy way faster! I get initially priced one price then he changes the price higher. I know they need to make money and I don't mind paying a little bit more to help a small shop but be fair and consistent. read more

When they finally answered the phone, the disinterested guy on the phone said it would cost $550-$600 to get into my safe which was damaged in a burglary & they would have to drill into the safe. I told him there is a hole that looks like it would accept a large key where the combination pad was broken off. He told me that he "Never heard of anything like that in 20 years". I called the safe manufacturer & they said there is a key hole behind the combo pad and that any locksmith could open it using that. If Barney didn't know what he's doing on a 3 year old safe it's OK to say that - don't give me the "20 years" of ignorance crap line & quote me a price that insults me.. Sadly, my employer has been using these guys for years - THAT is going to change soon. read more
