I initially bought 2 60-minute floats through a silent auction at a charity event ... and I'm so glad I did. I have now done the 60 minute and 90 minute float sessions. I think it is amazing. Very friendly front desk staff that were super helpful and inviting. The spa is small but very nice and the float rooms are very clean. I really like the "suite" feel in the float rooms, with a dressing area, shower, and then the float room - much better than some of the float capsules that some spas offer. This is one of my go-to all-time favorite spas. The float rooms are as large as you can imagine, no small egg-shaped claustrophobia for me! They have music as an option, which I love, and lights on if you'd like. The shower outside as well as the lotion, breath mint, and other amenities truly set this spa apart. I really enjoyed my experience floating here. I went specifically for the sensory deprivation experience and I was not disappointed. It was all well explained to me when I got there. First you shower and get into your tank, the lights turn off outside the tank after a bit with no motion in the room and then your jets turn off to signal the start of the float. I left my lights and music off to just float with my own thoughts and had an incredibly relaxing hour. Went with two friends who also had great experiences themselves. I became a customer when this business first opened up and therefore was eligible for a specific monthly membership which was lower than what is advertised online. When the business announced it was moving, I was assured my membership would transfer and would not change. Unfortunately, this was not the case. When the business finally did open back up I was told that due to bigger overhead they'd no longer honor my membership but I could remains a member for the inflated fees. Very dishonest and zero respect and gratitude for loyal customers. I can't say I'm surprised, the business has never been run very well. I have had more sessions that had issues than not. For instance: not turning my float on which delayed start and caused me to have reduced time, the float wasn't started which caused my time to go way over causing me to be late for other appointments, tank wasn't 'refreshed' (gross), and they never have a complete tea bar in the lobby. This always confuses me: why would you put tea out and not have hot water? Is it really that difficult to order cups with tops that fit? All in all disorganized and careless. The most disappointing part is that I really enjoy and believe in floating. I find it to be a shame that a business which promotes health and wellness shows zero actual concern for delivering health and wellness to their clients. Very hypocritical and as I said before, zero respect and gratitude for clients. I will not be 'continuing' my membership at a now inflated price. Especially when the service has not improved (I have visited the new location and the employee couldn't figure out how to start the room for 15min + no hot water for the tea, she wanted me to go heat it up myself at the business next door...really?! For $60! Give me a break. I came here to relax, remember?!) ***update since the business owners reply: I never cancelled my membership and I was never 'let in' before they opened. I love this place! When I'm overdue for some much needed self care time and have knotted up muscles and a serious crabassery attitude, this is my go to! Ive tried one other float place in the cities and it just didn't even come close to being as great as this place. I'll be honest, I used to go to their original location and still bummed they relocated farther away from me. So I no longer buy the monthly pass option (which is SO worth it). The difference between this place and the other one I've been to in Roseville areas is there is something about the water solution here that my body seems to respond better to. The other place made my body feel agitated and stimulated (not what I need!) whereas the water solution her dang near puts me to sleep every time and when I get out, I feel as relaxed as a sleepy baby! I'm glad I didn't read the other reviews here before I went. I had purchased 2 Groupons for my son and intontey it over Thanksgiving weekend. We arrived and we're greeted by the manager who explained the process in detail while walking us through. The facility was clean and well maintained. In the tub, the inside light bothered me so I turned it off. The outside light turned off just before I was going to get out to turn it off. I found the music distracting so I turned that off as well. I found the float to be very relaxing and will be returning. read more

The day before our appointment, they called to say they had to change our joint appointments from Sunday at 12:30 to 5:00PM that Sunday. We had to change our dinner plans we had with friends to fit their schedule change. When we arrived the tub setup looked easy enough with a sound and light control for the tub area, a changing room outside the tub with a shower. My wife said it took 20 minutes to get the music to work right and at the right volume. The light outside the room in my spa stayed on in my eyes, so I turned it out. 10 minutes later it came on in my eyes again. Imagine a blinding overhead bedroom light. I had to use the intercom to tell them about it. They asked if they could come in and turn it off. I said fine. They reached in and turned it off. 10 minutes later it came on again. Used the intercom again to tell them the light came back on again. Then day say I left the shower on and that set off the motion detector. I didn't leave it on. I walked past it and it was off when I got in the tub. This time I had to get out of the tub, which got burning salt from the float tub in my eyes. Somehow the shower was on now. I turned it off, turned out the lights myself this time and got back in the tub with burning eyes. When our sessions ended, they asked how it was? We told the manager about our issues with the lights, music, etc. He basically said it was our fault. He didn't offer us a free visit or even a discount on a return visit! At $99.00 a hour, you'd think losing new customer's is a bad idea. I had been looking forward to it, but it was a bad experience overall. I have done float tanks before and loved it. This was worse then staying home and relaxing on the couch, and that's free. Save your money and do that instead. read more

I have never floated before and found this place on google. I was able to make an appointment for the next day online and they have a discount code for new members, which was great. I showed up 10 minutes early and was able to get right in to my room. I did the 60 minute float. The woman who explained everything was so nice and informative. The room was clean and had the amenities you needed. One thing to be careful of is the floor was SO SLIPPERY! I think a bath mat would be ideal to help from slipping. I had to waddle around to make sure I didn't fall! I would also recommend bringing your own toiletries, the ones provided are okay, but I ended up wanting to shower again when I got home. All in all a great experience. I like that they have lights you can leave on if the total darkness freaks you out. As far as the benefits I felt relaxed after, not sure any other benefits I got from it. read more

I love the Float Spa.. I have been floating with them since they were in the previous location, while I don't get there as often as I like (it's not super close to me at all), I do get in when I can. I've been to the new location and I've never had a bad experience. The people have always been nice and kind, the rooms work great, and I always leave feeling relaxed. It's a shame that people only choose to review when they have bad experiences. Erika, I have had a similar experience. I purchased prepaid 'membership' floats last year, logged into the old Float Foundation site to find that they were closed. I've received repeated emails saying that the new location will be opening "soon"--- but the last was more than a month ago. I have called both the old number (disconnected) and the new (no answer, only an automated mechanical voice that makes no reference to Float Foundation or Sanctuary Float Spa). I also emailed in January of this year to ask about scheduling once the facility is open--- no response. Reviewing emails from them today I see that the Facebook and Instagram links they sent are no longer active. If you paid with a credit card, you can contact your company to dispute the charge for services not received. Floating is wonderful. The one float that I enjoyed at the prior Float Foundation location in south Mpls was memorable. But in my experience this business is poorly managed. read more

This was a wonderful experience - everything about it! Bought a Groupon to try and loved the float. Pleasant receptionist. Private changing/ shower/ float room that was very clean and attractive. Large tub about 14 inches deep with dimmable lights ( or none ) and adjustable under water lighting. Also an intercom if problems or questions. I started with soft music and lighting and as I became more comfortable, turned both off. Very easy to float and relax. When it was over - another quick shower with very nice products and a great hair dryer. I will definitely go back! read more

I went to the spa the other day as I have a bad hip a bad knee and many things and I wanted to float in that warm water. I had to get out before my session was up because I was so cold and when I went out the receptionist said the water was 94 degrees. Well, I have been in people's pools that are 80 degrees that were much warmer than the spa pool so I don't know what went wrong but it was certainly not warm. My daughter also was there at the same time and her water was also cold. My music did not work and the gal said the wife I must have shut it off and of course she could do nothing about the temperature of the water or the Wi-Fi while I was in there. I don't think they can adjust the temperature after the tub is filled anyway. this is definitely not some place that I would go back to as it does not seem like they're very consistent with much of anything. read more

I purchased the valentines bogo 60 minute float sessions after reviewing the description on the website and looking at their pictures. I scheduled online with the first appt over two weeks out. I didn't mind because I was excited to try in hopes to ease sore muscles and joints. A very friendly girl showed me how all the buttons worked inside including lights, music and the intercom. I was instructed to shower off as I had "plenty of time before my float started." I entered the tub of luke warm water, adjusted the lights and played with the music. Music didn't start but I assumed it would when my float started. After sitting in the tub for 10 minutes, I pushed the intercom and asked when my float would start, she said "any minute". I waited another 10 minutes. Nothing happened. No jets, no music and now I'm cold. I push the intercom again. No one answers but I hear talking so I assume she is checking in other guests. I wait 5 more minutes and push the intercom again. A new female voice answers. I explain my previous conversation. She explains that I'm supposed to float in silence and jets are not part of the experience. I'm dumbfounded at this point. I do as instructed and lie back to "relax". After 5 minutes, I'm bored and annoyed. The pictures show a tub with jets and lights and the website promotes a spa-like experience with relaxing music. I get out and shower off. I'm at the desk 45 minutes into my experience. The girl at the front says that jets are not part of the experience. When I explained that I saw the pictures showing jets on the website, she tells me that I'm mistaken, I must have seen customer reviews with photos. I told her that I didn't enjoy the experience and I would like my money back. She tells me that she can't authorize it but her manager can, who normally only works Monday's. She writes my name and number in a note pad and promises I will hear from the manager to issue a refund the following Monday. That was Thursday, February 25th. I have not heard back yet. Beside the fact that you don't get what is advertised, their customer service and management are critically lacking. read more

Amazing! I used to work at a floatation center several years ago and saw a special online for a massage + float and had to do it. So glad I did! Massage was first with Sy and as a massage therapist myself I might be a little picky with who I see but I was so happy with my service. He worked on all the areas I needed with perfect medium-deep pressure and I enjoyed the conversation. You can tell he truly enjoys his work and helping others. After the massage Abby took me to the float room and explained how everything works. I put the earplugs in, took a quick shower and because I have had ear issues I decided to use one of the neck floats (if you're new to floating or having trouble letting your head/neck relax I'd recommend trying that) you can choose to have a dim light/choose the color or have it completely dark. There's also an option to have soothing music play which helped me turn off my mind. I'm guessing it was 10-15 minutes later I was out. Woke up to the lights slowly turning on and music getting louder. All the back pain I was having was gone that night! I've already recommended it to a couple people. I'll be back! read more

So, I have tried to call Sanctuary Spa several times and emailed them as I understand they aren't open yet. No one has responded. I have an appointment booked soon (like as in tomorrow) and also was double charged on my credit card so I would like this resolved. Frustrating and not a great first impression at all. read more
