Okay. This was kind of a funny experience. I Googled a spa experience for a certain date (my…read morepartner's birthday) near me. This came up. They had a package with infrared sauna, Korean body scrub and massage. The sauna my partner was not ready for, nor the body scrub. He doesn't like extreme heat in saunas. They left us in there for close to an hour and came back and apologized in broken English, like they forgot we were there. Then they told us to get into these elevated bath tubs. That's the best way to describe them. They had foam mats on the bottom, and it looked like jet sprays on the side. Well, they told us to get in, face down, with our heads sticking out the fronts. Not super comfortable in any way, including getting in an awkward position in front of these ladies. So the water was between cold and very hot. It was Dove body wash, nothing special. They scrubbed us head to toe around five times. Asked why we were there, and I said it's his birthday. They asked his name and sang happy birthday. Very funny. Then came the massage. I had to use the restroom. This is where I was really disappointed. It was pretty dang dirty. Not just kinda. Like, dirt. Everywhere in the bathroom. So now I'm headed back for this massage, and I am worried about the cleanliness. The massage consisted of each small woman climbing onto our backs and using their elbows and knees. She put me into a bow position (those in yoga know what I mean.) Remember, we have no clothes on; it was very, very uncomfortable. She kept saying wow, you're flexible. They tried making conversation, but it was stilted English. I was trying to give back some conversation to be polite, and my lady literally just walked away from me while I was mid-sentence. Actually walked out of the room. I wanted to laugh with my partner, but he was putting himself into a self-induced meditative state to avoid the awkwardness of the whole thing. I definitely would not go back. I felt a lot of pain the next day. My lady was rubbing my feet, and hit a nerve of some type, and commented, hmmm. what is this? And I kept saying, yeah, that hurts. Until finally I had to yank my foot away and say, THAT HURTS. It's in a strip mall. You get what you pay for.

This was an odd experience in a strip mall spa. It is not a luxury spa, so I wasn't expecting…read morecucumber water and warm compresses. But to say it was basic is an understatement. My friend booked for us to have a spa package (massage, Infrared sauna, and whole body scrub). Good thing we aren't modest, because the set up was the same as for a romantic couple's massage. I felt so exposed with my body essentially splayed out for exfoliating. They used axe body wash along with the exfoliating treatment, which was overwhelming in its artificial man-scent, and sort of a confusing choice for a spa. The staff did not help get a relaxing vibe. Two women got in a verbal fight about how much to charge us at checkout. They also generally rushed us from one space to the next without much gentleness. It was what it was, and sort of the kind of experience that's fun to recount at a dinner party, but I didn't feel pampered whatsoever.

This place is amazing. I am more than well-versed in getting massages. I have had them done at…read moremany places, have had different styles done, different add-ons, ect and this place is hands down the best. I have gone here a few times now and have had the pleasure of experiencing a few different massage therapists. All of the therapists I have met have been professional and amazing at what they do. The rooms and sauna are clean and well set up. The therapists and receptionist are all following covid guidelines and were wearing masks as well. My most recent massage (August 2021) they were still all wearing masks but were fine with me not wearing one as I was fully vaccinated. They do have a mailing/email list you can sign up for and doing that they will send you deals. They make it pretty easy to book online for things, although if you are using a groupon you should call them to book to get everything set up correctly. They make it easy to add anything to your booking after the fact/onsite. If it is possible for them to do it, they will. Groupons do not account for state tax so you will have to pay for that when you leave but you can use your card and add a tip at the same time too, so convenient for those that don't carry cash. For those of you looking at all reviews please read the mentions below: 1) There is no dedicated parking/lot for this business. It is located on the main street of No. St. Paul. There is lots of parking all along the street but if its busy you may have to walk a few yards. 2) Information buy/selling. When I signed up for their email list they stated they do NOT sell their clients information. One reviewer didn't know how this business got her info and wouldn't tell her, other than they didn't BUY her info. Probably true that they DIDN'T buy the reviewers info, they probably got it from a client using their reward program. You refer your friends email addresses and qualify for rewards. If I was a business owner, I would have handled it the same, few people would be satisfied with being told they were referred by a friend. Many people would want to know WHO it was and personally I wouldn't be comfortable with giving out my other clients info, but I would let them know that we would remove all of their information from our systems. You know just like it was originally handled. 3) Pricing. They honor all terms for what you purchase. So if you purchased a package on groupon and use it with in the timeline you don't pay anything extra (see the tax thing above). If you don't use it within the timeline (hasn't happened to me yet) they honor the price you paid to apply to a service they provide. Paid $89 for a 1hr massage and 30 min sauna but expired 3 weeks ago? You get $89 towards a service/package now and if that package is now $120 well, you still owe $31 now. That is life, read the small print, make sure you get there before it expires. That said, they are great about doing add-on's. I have used different deal certificates and was able to add on additional time or hot stones or aromatherapy easily. However, you DO have to do that either when you make the booking or be ok to forgo it if you are going to wait until checking in. Also just because you are checking a price doesn't mean that it will always stay the same, things change, economy changes. When I have done upgrades/add-ons to my deals when I booked my session I have never had the price changed when I got there. Now, I have been in situations at other small businesses where I placed an order or booked a session and the price changed by the time I got there a few days later and guess what?! They honored the old price because I had BOOKED/ORDERED before the change happened. Computers/registers tend to default to what is the current price, but pointing out you BOOKED when the prices were different and them being able to see the date of booking makes it easy for them to fix. Deciding to call a few times over a few weeks to find out pricing and never booking and then getting pissed that a week or two later they changed pricing and they're unfair is being a petulant child. Ever been to a gas station? No? Well, let me blow your mind. They change can change their prices everyday and they can do this because the price is stated clearly to their customer. Just because the priced changed doesn't mean they are shady or unfair, it's just economics. But getting bratty about it does mean that you are indecisive at best and stupid at worse. No one was baited and switched, rather you waited to your detriment to book your appointment and now have to pay more. That is life. Next time you'll know if you like the price you should put a ring on it, sorry, book it. Overall, this place is the best. Great massages and great ambiance. Super clean.
