We followed this up with a facial. THIS WAS MY FAVORITE PART! They did a customized facial asking questions about my skin quality and doing a mini-assessment right on the spot. The facial was like a mini massage, gentle chemical peel (my sensitive skin did really well), extraction of blackheads, and moisturizing/oxygen mask all in one. Then we finished the AM with a full body massage! These are always amazing, but I felt very comfortable with such professional care and the ability to direct pressures and areas of focus for my masseuse. With all of these services, there was no wait, we hopped seamlessly from room-to-room while wearing my overstuffed cozy spa robe and provided flipflops while someone else transported our bins of personal items alongside us. Unfortunately I started my period the morning of the massage, and when I let Anicha know she became extremely concerned with my comfort levels. She allowed me to switch to a table massage instead of the originally planned Thai massage, and even consulted with him while I was changing to make sure I was okay keeping the appointment and wasn't just being polite. She was just really concerned that I would be uncomofortable and wouldn't get the most out of the massage. That actual massage was amazing! She used an excellent amount of pressure (I like really intense pressure) and basically worked through 2 years worth of postdocing-in-a-pandemic stress that has accumulated in my shoulders, lol. I am ashamed to say I do not remember who I had for my massage..but she was great. When I arrived she took my info on a form and asked a few other questions. We talked for a few minutes and then she escorted me to the room. The room was a nice dim room with religious and calming paraphernalia around. Seemed a little strange to me, but it was serene at the same time. The table was fantastic. It has a heated fleece top to it which she of course puts a sheet over. I could have slept in there all afternoon. The massage was very thorough and she hit all my knots. I wanted to cry a few times, but the knots in my shoulders are so terrible that I wanted a deep massage. She definitely went deep. The massage was at least 60 mins where other places cut it to 50. After the massage when she left the room I was so relaxed that I didn't want to move...or go home to my 4 kids! Price couldn't be beat and I will def go back! That table though....amazing lol
