When I first walked in, the staff member was wearing headphones and was on his phone. No greeting. I doubt he even saw me walk by. I went to the women's locker room and was absolutely appalled! All of the toilets were dirty, DUSTY(tells you they have not been cleaned in some time) and had urine or feces on the tank or down the front of the toilet! This location is busy! How can it be that no one is cleaning this bathroom!? The equipment is not well maintained here. I saw at least 3 machines with signs that said "out of order" and one of the toilets in the women's locker room was also "out of order." When I went to leave, the guy at the front was still on his phone, looked up and nodded and then went back to whatever he was doing. This location needs HELP! I highly recommend the Blaine location off hwy 65 or the Coon rapids location at Riverdale! Those are managed very well!!

That waterslide with the lights and music? Awesome! It's a one of a kind experience. Beyond the waterpark the playground was also great. They offer so much more than just a pool and playground. From the fitness center to the skatepark they have created a space for all interests and ages. It's clear they have invested in making a valuable resource for everyone.

Bamboo Bay is much louder than the main pool area due to the fact it's more enclosed and there are sprayers with lots of water all over. The lifeguards do a great job of keeping their eyes on the kiddos cause it can get very very packed in both pool areas and kids of all different ages including adults too! The bathrooms and lockers are great and all facilities are pretty new and kept clean. I do love the spinner to spin clothes after swim time... As a side note, if you're like me and just hung out with other parents while the kiddos swam...it can get very very hot and humid so dress accordingly even in the winter time!

I am plus size (5'7 240lbs) and this place was plus size friendly. When you make the appointment, they ask for your robe size and shoe size. Those will be located in your locker when you get walked back. They will give you a warm towel to wash your hands as you walk and it feels lovely! The lockers are easy to use. There are two toilets and a shower. This area is fairly small, however I never ran into anyone. You can undress as much (or as little) as you want. I get rid of everything but my underwear. Then you will go to the holding area. It's a very beautiful and relaxing area. There is water (flat and sparking) and some small snacks. Your provider will come get you from that room. Both times I have been here, my providers (male and female) have been very polite, friendly and respectful. The massage was wonderful! I felt amazing afterwards!! When you are done, they bring you back to The holding area and you can stay there as long as you like. The only reason I took a star off is because I had received a birthday promotion email and this was not automatically taken off at the desk. I didn't notice until I got to my car. So make sure you show/tell them at check out!! Overall, this is a nice place and I would come back

They also have free nights for anyone who lives in Brooklyn center on Saturday evenings. You are able to use both the pool and the fitness room it's from 5pm to 7pm. I originally bought a 10 inch pass. I liked it so much. I'm planning to now getting a year membership. It's a lot less crowded than other gyms . At least in the evenings. I've never been there other times of the day. I haven't had chance to do the group fitness yet, but I'm looking forward to trying it. I'm also planning to sign up for some swim lessons this year. I would love to learn this would be for summer.

I was not aware of what I was getting or what was going on my skin. The massage was ok, but the spa music was playing on Sarah's phone and her phone kept buzzing, interrupting the music...not the most professional. I also did not appreciate her making comments about my body. I get it might be a cultural thing but saying I am "so skinny! You must be less than XXX pounds!" Okay. This was kind of a funny experience. I Googled a spa experience for a certain date (my…read morepartner's birthday) near me. This came up. They had a package with infrared sauna, Korean body scrub and massage. The sauna my partner was not ready for, nor the body scrub. He doesn't like extreme heat in saunas. They left us in there for close to an hour and came back and apologized in broken English, like they forgot we were there. Then they told us to get into these elevated bath tubs. That's the best way to describe them. They had foam mats on the bottom, and it looked like jet sprays on the side. Well, they told us to get in, face down, with our heads sticking out the fronts. Not super comfortable in any way, including getting in an awkward position in front of these ladies. So the water was between cold and very hot. It was Dove body wash, nothing special. They scrubbed us head to toe around five times. Asked why we were there, and I said it's his birthday. They asked his name and sang happy birthday. Very funny. Then came the massage. I had to use the restroom. This is where I was really disappointed. It was pretty dang dirty. Not just kinda. Like, dirt. Everywhere in the bathroom. So now I'm headed back for this massage, and I am worried about the cleanliness. The massage consisted of each small woman climbing onto our backs and using their elbows and knees. She put me into a bow position (those in yoga know what I mean.) Remember, we have no clothes on; it was very, very uncomfortable. She kept saying wow, you're flexible. They tried making conversation, but it was stilted English. I was trying to give back some conversation to be polite, and my lady literally just walked away from me while I was mid-sentence. Actually walked out of the room. I wanted to laugh with my partner, but he was putting himself into a self-induced meditative state to avoid the awkwardness of the whole thing. I definitely would not go back. I felt a lot of pain the next day. My lady was rubbing my feet, and hit a nerve of some type, and commented, hmmm. what is this? And I kept saying, yeah, that hurts. Until finally I had to yank my foot away and say, THAT HURTS. It's in a strip mall. You get what you pay for.

My friend booked for us to have a spa package (massage, Infrared sauna, and whole body scrub). Good thing we aren't modest, because the set up was the same as for a romantic couple's massage. I felt so exposed with my body essentially splayed out for exfoliating. They used axe body wash along with the exfoliating treatment, which was overwhelming in its artificial man-scent, and sort of a confusing choice for a spa. The staff did not help get a relaxing vibe. Two women got in a verbal fight about how much to charge us at checkout. They also generally rushed us from one space to the next without much gentleness. It was what it was, and sort of the kind of experience that's fun to recount at a dinner party, but I didn't feel pampered whatsoever.

Upon entry you need to trek across the gym and downstairs to the locker rooms. Downstairs is also where you will find the basketball and pickleball courts, as well as the free weights. I would strongly suggest wearing feet coverings of some sort as I don't think the floors have been cleaned in months. I'll tell you why I think this place is great: PARKING: They have big parking available on-site. Although on the times when I go due to offered class/instructor at 10am M-F, the parking is pretty full. There are signs around other businesses that says "no Life Time parking allowed." But after noon, there are a lot of spaces available. AMENITIES: - Life Cafe - Sauna & hot tub - Life Spa salon - Personal Trainer - Classes - Kids club - Outdoor pool and tennis court - and more... CLEANLINESS: At Life Time Fitness, they offer hand towels and full size bath towels so you don't have to bring in your own. There are hampers throughout the building and you can drop off your dirty towel when you are done. Lockers are clean. Showers are a hit or miss depending the time - morning to early afternoon is clean; but evening, you might see other gym members loose hair in the drain, but I see housekeeping constantly present to maintain the area. I did use their weight machines upstairs and noticed some gym members don't wipe down the equipment. There are sprays and towels available. CLASSES: I mainly attend yoga classes and the studio is kept nice and clean. Numbers on the floor is easy to see. SERVICES: The front desk is welcoming and greets you when you arrive and leave. The instructors are friendly, knowledgeable, and knows you by name. The instructors are helpful if you forgot to RSVP a space and will help you find a spot in class. I booked a massage appointment once at their Life Spa and the masseuse was professional and friendly. The only downside was the pricing. Overall, it is a good place to go work out.
