We feel so fortunate to have found the San Moritz Lodge! We wanted a place that was wintry and romantic to fit our Christmas wedding. Ariana and team were so patient and accommodating during what is a very overwhelming and stressful time. They stayed calm and helped make sure we had everything we needed. There was a giant blizzard about a week before our wedding and they kept in touch and reassured us that they had contingency plans should we need them. After our wedding the lodge was sold and is now under new management. I only hope they continue to keep up the level of amazing service we received and that many more couples can have the wedding of their dreams here.

I am so glad we picked the San Moritz Lodge as our wedding venue. Everything was absolutely perfect, and our big day was truly magical. San Moritz was actually the first venue we visited, and I instantly fell in love. While my husband and I agreed we needed to at least check out a few other venues, nothing compared to San Moritz. Arianna, who hosted us for a tour and assisted with the planning/execution of our wedding, was spectacular. From the moment we arrived for a tour, she was an incredibly warm host who was happy to help answer every question we had for her. One of the great things about the lodge is that their packages/contracts are extremely transparent. There were no hidden fees or costs, which made making our decision that much easier. San Moritz hosts an event once or twice a year to allow all of the couples to come see the venue fully decorated as it might be for a wedding. This is also when you'll do your tasting, and have the opportunity to meet some of your possible vendors (who are partnered with the venue). This was awesome, and not many (if any?) venues do something similar. It was great to see what the room would feel like full of people, and to taste the food just like it would be served to our guests. I was so grateful they had a day like this available! The planning process with Arianna was extremely smooth. She always replied to our emails, and scheduled several phone calls to follow up on any lengthier questions we may have had. We had already contracted a wedding planner, even though the venue includes one in its packages - but this was not a problem at all! Arianna worked seamlessly with our planner and our other vendors. She made customized accomodations for my husband and I when requested (such as early access to the venue on the day of). She had great recommendations for bar and food packages based on her experiences, too. We seriously could not have planned this wedding without her. I could rave about the staff all day - but you should also know that this venue checks every box a couple might need for the big day. The ceremony site is gorgeous, and there are backup spaces in case of poor weather. There's a beautiful area for the cocktail hour and the main dining hall is so grand that I can only compare it to the great hall in Harry Potter. Every space at this venue had a magical touch to it. Other amazing things we got to enjoy were a separate bride and groom getting-ready suite, full-sized restrooms (which is great when you have 200 guests), a whole decor closet FULL of decor that you can borrow and use on the day of (saving you lots of $$$). The only element you should consider is that (at the time of our wedding) there's not great wifi or cell reception. This was fine with us, as it meant our guests were more present and in the moment enjoying the experience (instead of sitting on their phones). The food was also incredible! There are such a wide variety of choices you can make for your guests that helps make your menu feel unique to you. The food itself is delicious - and doesn't feel like cheap catering food. Having our wedding at San Moritz was easily the best decision we made during planning our wedding.

This is the most beautiful place ever! I have always wanted a wedding in the woods and I fell in love when I saw this place. Not only is it beautiful but the employees are wonderful. Ariana and Shalimar were always there to answer any questions I had and they went above and beyond to make our wedding the best day ever. The vendors they work with are also some of the nicest people we have every met. You should definitely pick this place as your wedding venue.

My husband and I were on a day trip to Lake Gregory on Valentine's Day and found out about "Love At The Lakes" event which was going on there. We RSVP right away and we were so happy we did it! It was a great experience! A magnificent view over the lake from a hundred years old lodge. What could be more romantic?! The event itself was organized just perfect: seating, table decoration, music (Live! A violin and a guitar. What could be better for Valentine's Day? Top notch!). Food was amazing. We signed up to be on the mailing list so we do not miss any upcoming events.

The photographer they recommended did a splendid job.

We had the most amazing experience having our ceremony and wedding reception here. The staff helped so much. They allowed us to use decorations that they had. Linens etc were all included. I can't tell you how grateful we are for all of their help. We highly recommend having your wedding here. It's not just beautiful it's truly a place that allowed our dreams to come true. I would do it again at this stunning venue.

We dealt with multiple planners. Yet, not one checked on us the entire time. Things were unorganized. The linens were incorrect. I had to remind staff to place flowers down the aisle because guests had arrived to a undecorated event. The wrong song was played during the exit of the bride and groom. There was no CO2 for the start cocktail hour. The venue was so hot that our guests had to stay outside until they brought in swamp coolers. They never announced for 2nds so tons of food was wasted. Everytime someone left a drink to dance or to use the restroom, their drink was dumped by staff. A party crasher came in and started a seen which the groom had to intervene. It was a nightmare!

If it was possible to leave more stars I would! My husband and I got married there in May! Not only is this place breathtakingly gorgeous for a wedding but the coordinator Nicki is AMAZING! She goes above and beyond to make sure the day goes smooth and the bride has no worries! Our food was delicious and everyone had an amazing time! All the guests complimented on how smoothly everything went and how beautiful the grounds are. I booked Vic originally and they switched it over to a new management! Probably the best decision ever because Nicki is so professional and really cleaned the place up even more! She redecorated the brides area with a beauty bar and pretty decor and my husband was beyond excited about the fact the grooms side had a pool table and a couple other games! If anyone is looking to do a wedding I would recommend this place in a heartbeat! My dad was perfect thanks to all the staff, Nicki, the weather (which was foggy but perfect) and the venue! Thanks again!

Best mountain wedding venue!!! We had our best day ever here and it couldn't have been more perfect! Nicki is an incredible coordinator, on top of the details and focused on the needs of the Bride & Groom. Our day was so special because we chose to have it here. Also the food was delicious! I've received so many compliments of the food & venue. You won't be disappointed if you have your wedding here.

    Arrowhead Pine Rose Cabins

Arrowhead Pine Rose Cabins is a family owned establishment and has been for decades. Each of the…read morecabins here are stand-alone cabins on 6 acres of forest. They also have a really nice event / wedding venue on the property. We stayed in the Little House on the Pond cabin which shared a small man-made pond with 3 other cabins. (Side note: Arrowhead Pine Rose Cabins isn't in Lake Arrowhead proper but about a 20 minute drive east on the 189 in the small township of Twin Peaks - which is a nice mountain town but it's a bit of a drive away from Lake Arrowhead) These cabins are really cute. They are rustic yet comfortable - the sofa & chairs are comfy but I wish the sofa was deeper. There are 2 full size beds in the 2 upstairs bedrooms and the beds are super comfy! The one we slept in had a down mattress pad which really upped the comfort. There was also a nice comforter. On the downside, I am tall and I barely fit lengthwise. My feet were on the bottom rail and my head was up against the headboard. Ample parking: our cabin had its own small driveway to park in. The party lights on the deck were really nice for sitting outside on the Adirondack chairs at night. It was also really nice to build a fire in the fireplace on a crisp night. We had a lantern with a dead battery and the maintenance guy came very fast to replace it. There are lots of dishes and cookware to make snacks & meals and they have lots of things you can check out from the office like smore sticks, french presses, orange juicer, veggie steamer, charcoal BBQ, chop sticks and much, much more. On the downside: One of the big reasons we got this cabin was to have a fireplace...and they charge you $10 for a bundle of wood, which is annoying considering how much we paid to stay here (including an $80 resort fee - that doesn't include a bundle of firewood!!?) Tip: We picked up a fire bundle at Grocery Outlet for $6 that was significantly bigger than the one they had sitting by our fireplace for sale. The other big reason we got this particular cabin (Little House on the Pond) was for the big claw tub and it was very disappointing! First of all, you want a claw tub so you can relax & soak in a deep tub, and this tub is not deep enough to stay submerged. When I filled it up and got in, the water drained out the overflow drain until the water that remained in the tub left me half out of the water. You really want to soak in these things and you better do it quick here! (Note: We mentioned this when we checked out and he said they would look into getting a water level extender to put over the drain or something) Also, their hot water heater isn't big enough to last till this tub is full enough to get in. It ran cold after a while and I had to stop filling and let the hot water build back up and do that a few times to have a reasonably warm full bath. The stairs in this cabin are a neck breaker (very steep), almost like a ladder. The bedrooms are upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs. This could potentially be dangerous going to the bathroom in the middle of the night (or for anyone who has a challenge walking). They should at least put in some nightlights on the stairs so you can see them when it is dark. On the admin side, you have to wash all your dishes and take out your own garbage or be charged a $60 fee. I have never (even at lower priced hotels) been told to wash my own dishes and take out my garbage. I kinda get it if you have a big family with 8 or 10 people - I'm sure they've had lots of people leave it a total mess, but for 2 of us it was a bit annoying to pay what we did and have to clean up everything. I mean part of being on vacation is to have people wait on you and not have to worry about these things - especially for what I paid to stay here. Another thing, when we checked in we asked for pool towels and she got us a few but told us in the future we needed to bring our own pool towels...Then what are we paying such a high resort fee for!!? After all is said and done I am giving Arrowhead Pine Rose Cabins 4 stars. Again, this place is cute, nice and very comfortable but with all the dings mentioned above, I can't give it 5 stars.

PRC is a cluster of themed cabins on beautiful grounds. There's a man-made creek that runs through the property that I'm guessing runs even during the summer months. The tranquil sound of water fills the area, as does the sweet sound of frogs at night. The grounds are beautiful and make for a lovely evening walk or morning cup of coffee by the koi pond. I will definitely be back to sample the different cabins. Oh, absolutely top notch customer service too from the second we stepped into the main lobby to check in.

After booking, Katie was incredibly communicative and genuinely invested in helping us bring our into the woods fairytale reception to life. From the moment we began working together, it was clear we weren't just working with a planner--we were collaborating with a true artist, a master organizer, and an absolute professional who brings heart, soul, and vision to everything she does. We chose a remote destination in Maine, which came with its own set of logistical challenges. Lauryl managed every single detail, from her location in California, with calm precision and endless grace. She coordinated the entire event from top to bottom: securing and managing vendors (including photographers, DJ, caterers, and rentals), handling transportation, organizing accommodations, setting up a generator for our off-the-grid location, and ensuring every moving piece came together seamlessly. And then there were the florals and decorations--an absolute dream. Lauryl's botanical designs transformed our venue into something out of a fairytale. Every arrangement, every table setting, every floral accent was artfully curated and deeply personal. Her aesthetic intuition and attention to detail are unmatched. But Lauryl didn't stop at the creative elements. She also kept the entire planning process on track--from managing payments and timelines to wrangling guests and coordinating travel logistics. She helped design our invitations, double-checked spellings, handled the mailing, and made sure everything reflected our vision perfectly. On the day itself, she was everywhere--yet invisible--ensuring everything flowed without a hitch. If you're looking for someone who blends vision, organization, calm under pressure, and genuine care, Lauryl is it. She went so far beyond what I ever expected, and I will be forever grateful for her artistry, her professionalism, and her heart. Thank you, Lauryl, for giving us the wedding of our dreams!
