I have a lovely little A Frame in the mountains and the only negative was that in spite of all the lovely tree's there was just so much dirt. I reached out to the community for a name, and they suggested Shannon at Bizzyland. She has been amazing and transformed our little forest wonderland into a beautiful,(dirt free) fairy garden full of native plants that will survive and thrive in this amazing natural landscape. We can't wait to see how our amazing plants will look in the full bloom of spring. Working with her was easy and she has very good taste on the plant selections. You won't be disappointed.

I'm visiting Crestline to get away from the city, and randomly dropped in on Bizzyland. It is truly a freaking hidden gem in these mountains and I can't believe I'm writing the first review. I'll try to give as much detail as I remember! The owner is helpful, knows her plants, and didn't mind answering my many questions. I sadly missed her name, but she was super kind personally while also having an encyclopedic knowledge for the specific horticulture questions. I usually like to be left alone while shopping but she was super low key and I spent a while chatting with her. No pushiness and she allowed me freedom to be the kid in a candy shop. As for the shop's offerings I felt like I had walked into my Etsy wishlist. I saw a mixture of whimsical trinkets, potted plants, bouquets, anything to design your home/garden with, and various handmade soaps, lotions, bath bombs & candles. The owner actually hand-paints the mini ceramic houses and fairies that are placed in gardens. I could buy everything for my succulent fairy garden without leaving the place. If I had to design a friend's wedding, this would be the spot. I can't stress enough how dead-on this woman's eye for aesthetic is. Everything matches. For my bouquet (created for fun on the spot) I had an awesome time choosing from the traditional array of flowers *and* some more unique plants. Some examples: Red roses, massive Sunflowers, plenty of dried flowers, decorative freaking kale. Lily, etc. Even for my friend who isn't obsessed with plants, the creative process of creating the bouquet was soooo much fun. Flowers are of a fresh, locally sourced quality. I found Bizzyland perfect for living space and garden design, indoor plants (some of them already potted), garden accessories, bouquets for literally any occasion (even just for fun like mine), interior design, any creative endeavors, handmade bath and beauty, etc. I was also shown a small collection of some clothing items she is putting out soon. The design was sooooo vintage mountain town/ fire watch tower vibe, comfy casual and really capturing the Crestline feel. Pic included. The owner has a gifted eye for design and aesthetic. Prices are surprisingly affordable given the quality and novelty. Real local art thrives in Bizzyland.

Shannon was amazing! She worked with me through the pandemic and was flexible with my date change. She took the time to understand our vision for our wedding and executed it perfect. Our wedding was exactly the way we dreamed of it being. It was so beautiful! We high recommend Bizzyland for your next event!

Very happy with the selection, prices are slightly higher than going to one of the large home improvement stores but the plants seemed hardier and healthier. Service is good, the nursery was busy with new plants coming in but people working in the store still made time to assist or answer any questions. Will be going back again soon.

Village Nursery is a feast for the eyes with carefully thought out placement of its plants that gives designer vibes while also boasting reasonable pricing. There are whimsical bits of garden decor sprinkled throughout the outdoor shopping areas, with considerably more inside in their 'boutique'. I was able to find handmade ceramic mushrooms for $19.99 that are identical to the $60 ones we would buy at the Laguna Beach Sawdust Festival - such a deal! The plants are priced well for the mountains (these nurseries tend to be higher than down in the flats) and what is appreciated is that Village Nursery only stocks plants that are appropriate for the climate, unlike another local nursery I won't mention. There is a nice gift shop inside on the main floor that sells handmade textile ponchos and rugs, and attractive gifts that would work well for mountain friends. For the first time this past weekend I discovered they also have an upstairs clothing boutique featuring what I believe are handmade designs from India that are either bejeweled or otherwise adorned. Such a fun place to shop!

Moonridge Garden and Gift Shop managed to pull that off in under a minute. During a recent visit up the hill to Big Bear, I decided to look around at some plant shops. This one appeared to be the most well-reviewed in the area. The shop was easy to find, and there was free parking available. Those two things are what is keeping me from giving a one star review here. I could see parking being tricky during higher-tourist times, though, so please be aware of that. I didn't actually make it inside the shop because immediately upon exiting my car, a man (who I assume was working there) had left the shop and walked up the driveway towards my vehicle and seemed to be on his way to knock on my window and ask me what I was doing in the parking lot. He was oddly close to my vehicle and had to walk a ways to get there...and honestly...that kind of approach felt really out of place for a shop like this to me. You'd expect that kind of approach when pulling into a car repair shop or something of that nature, but it felt pushy and strange for a retail establishment like this. I had been in the parking lot for maybe 30 seconds at this point, so it wasn't as if I was camped out in their lot. I was pulling my things together and preparing to get out in a timely fashion. When I got out, the man who'd approached greeted me, but also seemed suspicious of me being there? Or upset that I was there? I instantly felt as if I didn't belong. He started providing me with directions to the gift shop (which is apparently in a different location?), even though I was there to look at plants. When I asked about the plants, he again seemed suspicious of me wanting to shop at plants at a plant store. The whole thing was so uncomfortable that I ended up turning and leaving without going inside. In the year 2025, I really do have much higher standards for how businesses treat the human beings who visit their establishments. This place just wasn't doing it. Hard pass. Do not recommend.

But they never answered their phone so we went to this Moonridge Nursery place. We bought two trees and they planted them for us but the whole transaction and installation was a bit hokey so I don't think we will ever go back. No, we won't. One tree wasn't set right the ugly side (with not so nice looking branches) faced the cabin. How stupid not to think about how to place a tree in a hole strategically. We will bring the next trees/plants we need from down the hill and plant them ourselves. You might want to do that also.
