I'm an Airbnb connoisseur and know my way well around vacation rentals. Having stayed in many homes, staying here was literally and figuratively a breath of fresh air. PRC is a cluster of themed cabins on beautiful grounds. There's a man-made creek that runs through the property that I'm guessing runs even during the summer months. The tranquil sound of water fills the area, as does the sweet sound of frogs at night. The grounds are beautiful and make for a lovely evening walk or morning cup of coffee by the koi pond. I will definitely be back to sample the different cabins. Oh, absolutely top notch customer service too from the second we stepped into the main lobby to check in. read more

Arrowhead Pine Rose Cabins is a family owned establishment and has been for decades. Each of the cabins here are stand-alone cabins on 6 acres of forest. They also have a really nice event / wedding venue on the property. We stayed in the Little House on the Pond cabin which shared a small man-made pond with 3 other cabins. (Side note: Arrowhead Pine Rose Cabins isn't in Lake Arrowhead proper but about a 20 minute drive east on the 189 in the small township of Twin Peaks - which is a nice mountain town but it's a bit of a drive away from Lake Arrowhead) These cabins are really cute. They are rustic yet comfortable - the sofa & chairs are comfy but I wish the sofa was deeper. There are 2 full size beds in the 2 upstairs bedrooms and the beds are super comfy! The one we slept in had a down mattress pad which really upped the comfort. There was also a nice comforter. On the downside, I am tall and I barely fit lengthwise. My feet were on the bottom rail and my head was up against the headboard. Ample parking: our cabin had its own small driveway to park in. The party lights on the deck were really nice for sitting outside on the Adirondack chairs at night. It was also really nice to build a fire in the fireplace on a crisp night. We had a lantern with a dead battery and the maintenance guy came very fast to replace it. There are lots of dishes and cookware to make snacks & meals and they have lots of things you can check out from the office like smore sticks, french presses, orange juicer, veggie steamer, charcoal BBQ, chop sticks and much, much more. On the downside: One of the big reasons we got this cabin was to have a fireplace...and they charge you $10 for a bundle of wood, which is annoying considering how much we paid to stay here (including an $80 resort fee - that doesn't include a bundle of firewood!!?) Tip: We picked up a fire bundle at Grocery Outlet for $6 that was significantly bigger than the one they had sitting by our fireplace for sale. The other big reason we got this particular cabin (Little House on the Pond) was for the big claw tub and it was very disappointing! First of all, you want a claw tub so you can relax & soak in a deep tub, and this tub is not deep enough to stay submerged. When I filled it up and got in, the water drained out the overflow drain until the water that remained in the tub left me half out of the water. You really want to soak in these things and you better do it quick here! (Note: We mentioned this when we checked out and he said they would look into getting a water level extender to put over the drain or something) Also, their hot water heater isn't big enough to last till this tub is full enough to get in. It ran cold after a while and I had to stop filling and let the hot water build back up and do that a few times to have a reasonably warm full bath. The stairs in this cabin are a neck breaker (very steep), almost like a ladder. The bedrooms are upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs. This could potentially be dangerous going to the bathroom in the middle of the night (or for anyone who has a challenge walking). They should at least put in some nightlights on the stairs so you can see them when it is dark. On the admin side, you have to wash all your dishes and take out your own garbage or be charged a $60 fee. I have never (even at lower priced hotels) been told to wash my own dishes and take out my garbage. I kinda get it if you have a big family with 8 or 10 people - I'm sure they've had lots of people leave it a total mess, but for 2 of us it was a bit annoying to pay what we did and have to clean up everything. I mean part of being on vacation is to have people wait on you and not have to worry about these things - especially for what I paid to stay here. Another thing, when we checked in we asked for pool towels and she got us a few but told us in the future we needed to bring our own pool towels...Then what are we paying such a high resort fee for!!? After all is said and done I am giving Arrowhead Pine Rose Cabins 4 stars. Again, this place is cute, nice and very comfortable but with all the dings mentioned above, I can't give it 5 stars. read more

I was in the area and stopped by just to check out the wedding venue we were greeted by one of the receptionist she was wearing a daisy sweater. She was so friendly and helpful and took time to show us everything we wanted to see. She was able to answer all of our questions. And felt she went above and beyond. Staying at Pine Rose Cabins during a winter storm was like stepping into a cozy, real-life snow globe where the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. Despite the freezing temperatures and heavy snowfall outside, our cabin remained incredibly warm and was spotlessly clean upon arrival, providing a perfect sanctuary from the elements. We were deeply impressed by the local infrastructure; the roads were kept cleared and plowed throughout our stay, making the drive through town surprisingly easy. I would definitely recommend coming here. The area is beautiful, good location and the decor/facilities of the cabins themselves are good (especially the yards). The cabins were clean and had nice decor (ours even had a Christmas tree!). They did need some maintenance which I'm sure is on the horizon. The cabin I stayed in had shower nobs were sticking out and very loose. Windows were very old and had residue. Other than that though, very nice place. read more

I stayed at the pine rose deer cabin for 2 days for a vacation just recently. It was great! The location and cabins are always a great place to escape too. My family and I come here every year and we LOVE it! This year we stayed among three different cabins which were the sunflower cottage, cedar creek and hidden creek. Hidden creek is such a great lodge if you have a lot of people! Two floors, multiple bedrooms, game room, nice open kitchen! Such a good place for all my family to come together to eat breakfast or dinner. I've been staying in cedar creek the past handful of years and it is also a really good cabin. Has one bedroom downstairs with a queen bed, loft upstairs with two twins and two full size beds then another bedroom with a queen bed. It is the perfect size cabin and also I love the backyard. Staff is always so friendly and whenever we have a question or request, they are so quick to help. I look forward to coming here everyday year! read more

Heaven on Earth only 2 hours away from LA. This was our first visit and we are already making plans to stay for my birthday in January. We had the pleasure of staying in Fisherman's Hideaway. It was tucked away in its own private corner of the woods. (Just a few neighborhood cabins that you can see, but not hear) We were in our own world with the beautiful wooden deck and private sitting area with a fire table. The trees tower over you. We loved walking just over the big log to find a trickling brook. Ah the sound of nature. The cabin is delightful; rustic with full amenities. I barely moved from the cozy fireplace and comfy sofa. The kitchen is wonderfully stocked with the basics. I was able to enjoy baking and cooking full dinners. There is a jetted tub!!! A full soaking tub in a little wooden cabin! Could it get any better? Everyone at the front desk was super kind and thoughtful. We did make a suggestion for better mattresses as the current ones are hard as a wood plank. We will see if they are upgraded before we come again in a few months, otherwise it's easy to bring a padded mattress cover. Thank you for hosting us. See you in January for a longer stay. We loved our stay here! We stayed in cabin #1 and it was very cozy, clean, and comfortable. It came with everything you could need, and it was just so charming inside. It was cold while we were there, but the heater worked great (at times it even worked a little too well, and it got too warm). We'd definitely stay here again and try a bigger cabin next time. I forget the name of the gentleman in the front office, but he was very friendly. We got married here in October 2023, it was beautiful and a really great day for a lot of reasons. They have some perks for getting married on a week day like an extra night in the lodge so we got to stay for the night before and night of which was great. However, there were a few unsavory things, like I feel like the grounds could have been cleaner as far as dead leaves and plants and when we got there there was still decor around from a previous wedding. We had to go around clearing a few things to set our own things up. When you are paying so much I feel like this should all be done before you arrive. Also, in the lodge, which is the bridal suite, they had random workers just come in and start literal work on the stairs while we were in there. These workers didn't announce themselves or even say anything to us the whole time just came in and started working. We were still emptying our cars and putting things in the lodge so we were literally having to work around them. We loved having the fire pit option at the end of the night, I would for sure add that if you plan to have some guests staying, we sat there until midnight and it was one of the best memories of the day until the lights turned off. We had some issues with the fox in the woods catering that they contract with, however that's not on the venue itself, they also helped us rectify that situation which was nice. They also contract with wildflowers at the lake which we chose and they were pleasant to work with. The cabins are rustic of course, so if you're looking for a higher end vibe this may not be it, but it's cozy. read more

Book it, you will love it.. This is why I love visiting Pine Rose and share it with others. Pine Rose has been a holiday tradition for us since 2017. On Thanksgiving, my family and I book a few days to celebrate life and be filled with gratitude. Here is a breakdown of my experiences so far. 1st time November 2017 ( Eagle Nest) This small cabin was super decorative for Christmas. The welcoming front staff gave us information for a local taxi service and all the delivery options in the mountains. This was way before 2020. I couldn't work the oven on Thanksgiving day and one of their groundskeeper came to the cabin to help turn it on for me. We had a great time at Santa's Village. 2nd time November 2019( Pine Rose cabin 1) This was an intense experience. We got 4 feet of snow while we were there. We were completely snowed in without power for a day. This is where this place gets their WOW award. The staff came in every single day, during a snow storm to make sure we were okay. They provided us with fire wood to keep us warm and helped us clear the path when it was safe to leave. They also discounted our stay because of mother nature. A business real truth shows up during stressful situations. They pulled through and we had a wonderful time embracing it. 3rd time November 2021- ( Sunflower) This was a super cute cabin and the blue jays loved visiting it. I was a little under the weather to enjoy the whole experience but overall a good time. 4th time November 2022 ( Little House by the pond) This little house was adorable. Just a small warning: there is only one bathroom downstairs and it's cold at night. So, if you stay here make sure you don't need to get up in the middle of the night. The stairs were fun for our small family but they were steep. PineRose have become a holiday tradition since 2017. These cabins are rustic and maybe a little older but they do have a lot of charm. If you have been wanting to create a new tradition for your family, this may be a good option :) I'll update this review with more experiences to come. read more

A truly traumatic experience. NOT safe for families. Owner was absent when we desperately needed help and then called back 10 days later and tried to place the blame on us. 14 of us were trapped, five of which were children and nothing was done to help us-- the owner never called to check in on us. We felt unsafe and scared because every day we called and asked for an update, and every day we were told help would be on the way "soon". I understand this was an unprecedented storm, but this business was entirely unprepared and unwilling to take on any financial loss for the well-being of their guests during a STATE OF EMERGENCY. I have truly never experienced a more incompetent property owner, and as a vacation property owner myself, I could never imagine treating my guests as horribly as she did. Aside from that, the cabin itself is poorly maintained. Everything from wood rot to doorknobs falling apart, even though we raised these and other concerns the last time we stayed here a year earlier. The ONLY positive is their incredible and overworked staff. After leaving reviews my family was contacted by Pine Rose Cabins and they had an honest conversation. PRC did all that they could to make things right. Better late than never and I'm so happy to have gotten that update. Makes me feel much better about giving them our business for the past 5 years. I hope this prompts the Pine Rose to be more prepared in the future for snow storms, and to better prepare their guests that come to visit during the winter season. Leaving 3 stars as we had some good years at PRC but due to the condition of the cabin being a little worse each year, and the treatment of my family DURING our last stay, 3 stars is the most I could possibly leave. I've stayed @ Wild Bills since I was knee high to a grasshopper. I love the amusing themed wagon wheel bench, covered wagon bed, trundle in living room. I also need the babbling brook to chill me out from city living & large crowds. I always leave Pine Rose feeling refreshed & renewed. Can't wait to return later this year. All the staff have been welcoming. I'm a doofus when faced with outdoor tools like the barbecue. How was I going to grill my carne asada when I can't get the barbecue started? I made one call to front desk. Immediately some kind woman or man will come over on a golf cart & get me searing on the grill in no time. Thank you, Pine Rose. Thank you, Tricia, for creating an oasis of serenity. It's a similar experience to "glamping" in a cozy cabin. Yes, bring your own groceries, buy your own firewood.
