Ok a bit late but ok, however it was said very bluntly and then early check in would be $50. No problem we will come back at 4:00, geez can you at least smile? So upon check in, we had to pay a heafty $75 to have our pet with us, then $16 plus tax to park our car in there motel parking spaces. Feeling nickel and dimed . Took a shower before dinner and the shower handle is blocked so the hottest it will let you get is barely luke warm. The next morning we ran the shower for over 10 minutes and it was cold not even luke warm so we gave up on getting a shower. The rooms are small and very noisy, so much so that there was a white noise machine in the room for use. They had water bottles and snacks in the room each with ridiculous Las Vegas, hotels type pricing for even a water. Take a pass on this place .

The toilet was loose and wobbled every time we used it, and the shower handle was also loose and moved around when adjusting the water temperature. For a newer property, I expected these basic fixtures to be in better condition. The complimentary breakfast was a simple American-style breakfast with a few hot items, which was convenient but nothing particularly special. Overall, the hotel has great potential because it's clean and well maintained in general, but the maintenance issues in our room definitely affected our experience. Hopefully, management will address these problems soon, as this could easily be a 4 star stay with better attention to detail.

There were patched areas on the walls, cracked baseboards, and it felt a little worn. The hallways could also use a refresh. The game room was a nice surprise. It had a pool table, ping pong, foosball, a few board games, and vending machines. There's also a small outdoor pool and jacuzzi, which looked like a nice place to relax. Breakfast was included and had a good variety of options, which we appreciated, especially on a busy holiday weekend. Overall, while parts of the hotel felt a little dated and even a bit creepy in places because of the older chateau style, we still enjoyed our stay. For the price we paid during one of the busiest weekends of the year, it was a good value. We rented the "lakeview manor" (luxury cabin) conveniently located right behind oakside restaurant. Walking distance to the village was only 3-5 minutes! When booking with Lakefront Cabins they offer a 20% discount on boat rentals through pleasure point marina. We took advantage of this great value. Lakeview Manor cabin comes with an AC/DC pin ball machine, when I went to play it, one of the flippers wasn't working so I sent a service request out to Lake front cabins and they immediately sent a technician. Within an hour it was fixed. Very much appreciated! The cabin is equipped with oversized TV's, state of the art fireplaces, and modern style finishes throughout. It's a must stay if you're planning on visiting big bear.

But the bathroom is a wet room style, meaning there's no divider between the shower and the rest of the bathroom and the water gets everywhere in the bathroom. They need a curtain or a wall between the shower and the toilet and sink area. If you are very picky about your stay, I would not recommend this place. If you are not super picky, this would be fine.
