The…read morevenue is absolutely gorgeous, and from the beginning, the planning process was smooth and enjoyable. Communication with Kellan was excellent throughout the process, and John and Terri were also wonderful to work with--always kind, attentive, and helpful. We also loved the venue's recommended vendors, who all helped make our day so special. The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because the end of the evening felt much more stressful than expected. After celebrating all day, we had to help pack, load, and remove all of our personal décor that same night. We had understood the décor would be packed and ready for us to load, but instead several of our family members and guests ended up helping pack everything before we could leave. Unfortunately, some of our personal décor items were also damaged during the packing process, which was disappointing since many of them were sentimental. One suggestion I have for future weddings would be to allow couples to pick up their packed décor early the following morning. On the morning of our wedding, there was already a venue tour and another couple's rehearsal taking place, and the staff handled both so seamlessly that we barely noticed. Since the venue is already in use the next morning, offering a short pickup window for the previous night's couple could make the end of the wedding day much less stressful without disrupting operations. Overall, none of this takes away from how beautiful our wedding day was or how much we appreciated the Miller's Landing team. We are incredibly thankful for everything they did to help make our day so memorable and would absolutely recommend the venue to couples looking for a stunning place to get married.

Family owned--Kellan, Terri, and everyone in the staff were so unbelievably transparent, friendly, helpful, and amazing to work with. The communication is on point and everything was seamless since their packages include basically everything! Even the small amount of things not included in package pricing, they gave recommendations that were great! The property is so beautiful and so well maintained even when we toured it when it was raining and sleet coming down! The ceremony site is a dream, which flows right into the cocktail area, and then reception/dinner in the beautiful, rustic barn and everything flows perfectly. It's small enough to where people don't wander off and disappear or get too separated, but big enough to provide spaces and pockets for people to hang out in. Fox in the Woods Catering was absolutely delicious and the venue tasting was great--we had such a hard time deciding what to choose because it was all so good. The bridal suite did get a little warm on our 80 degree wedding day, but they have portable air conditioners that helped. We loved the table and mirrors so my bridesmaids not getting hair and makeup done could do their own there. The groom suite is a great spot for the guys and every space is so well put together and comfortable. Our day of coordinator included with the venue, Ashly, was amazing in creating our day of timeline, setting up decor and making sure our vision came to life. Family owned and operated was the way to go. We felt so special and didn't have a single thing to worry about and we had the most perfect wedding day. We are on cloud nine and highly recommend anyone wanting a seamless wedding and less stress of planning, please book here. You will not regret it!

Time to unplug and be one with nature? Look no further than UCLA Lake Arrowhead Lodge which serves…read moreas a conference center, family resort and travel destination ideal for a tranquil escape or a picturesque mountain retreat. Amenities include swimming pool, jacuzzi, tennis courts, basketball court, sand volleyball court, hiking trail, WiFi, parking and an on-site restaurant. Cabin accommodations come in different configurations with most rooms including a fireplace and deck offering beautiful mountain or lake views. We've visited the lodge three times now. The last time was October 2020, and it was great to discover that UCLA continues to upgrade its facilities with new amenities including a tavern (they serve adult beverages!) as well as pickleball courts. We've enjoyed our visits every time, but IMO the cabins are due for a renovation/upgrade. After our most recent visit Memorial Day weekend, I would also warn guests to beware of oakworms or leafrollers (moth caterpillars that rappel down on silken threads) which seemed to be everywhere this time of year. We are a family of UCLA alumni and our getaways to Lake Arrowhead always have a special place in our hearts, so allow me to finish with...GO BRUINS!!! [Insert 8-Clap Here]

The main lodge had tea and coffee stocked every day, which was so nice. Rooms also came equipped with a Keurig in case you didn't want to make the trek to the lodge. The staff were incredibly kind. From food staff to receptionist to bar staff, everyone was so accommodating. One small thing though was the drinks from the bar tasted a bit funny. Both mine and my partner's drinks had this weird barbecue sauce flavor, which was odd! The lodge is a quick 20-minute (free) bus ride to the village, which is small but definitely worth a visit. :)

Unfortunately,…read morethat's shut down at the moment due to safety repairs, so I thought I'd throw this review in lieu of my stay this time around. I travel quite a bit for work which requires me to stay in hotels regularly. For how long this place has been around, I feel like the condition of the rooms and cleanliness is on par with most places that are getting to the point of needing those bigger renovations and updates. Hotels can only do so much in terms of piecemeal repairs and updates, and anything near water tends to get battered by the elements a little bit more than other places. I look forward to the dock repairs, so I can get back to catching bluegill, crappie, trout, and bass with my boy. A lot of great memories here. I hope to keep them coming.

The beach was clean and relaxing, and the pool had an awesome vibe with a live DJ playing music throughout the day. It created a fun atmosphere without feeling overcrowded, making it a great place to spend the afternoon. Overall, this resort delivered a wonderful experience with beautiful accommodations, great amenities, and a lively yet relaxing atmosphere. We'd definitely stay here again!

Willow Woods was absolutely what we were looking for. When we first visited, Katie showed us around the entire venue and made us feel so welcome. After booking, Katie was incredibly communicative and genuinely invested in helping us bring our into the woods fairytale reception to life. She also served as our day of coordinator and made everything run seamlessly. She set up every table exactly how we had instructed, supported our caterer, and helped guests navigate the space with ease. The venue itself is magical, surrounded by beautiful 100 year old cabins, beautiful trees, and hundreds of twinkle lights! It truly feels like something out of a storybook. With our 60 guests, it felt intimate, warm, and so special. The photos we took out by the bridal cabin were stunning as well! The night was beyond anything we could have imagined. Our photos look like they are straight out of a Pinterest board, and we will be dreaming about this day for the rest of our lives. We are so grateful we found a reception venue that felt perfectly us. Thank you so much to Katie and Willow Woods. We absolutely recommend this venue!

It was either an easy walk uphill from the parking lot or one could get a ride in a golf cart by Meriam, a friendly woman with a good sense of humor. May, the wedding coordinator, could not have been more helpful or friendly, from organizing the rehearsal the night before to working with all the ladies in the bridal suite and the day of the wedding. The after-wedding food was good, the DJ excellent and was open to playing requests and the two bartenders friendly and helpful in doling out the drinks, including about 40 tequila shots to toast the bride and groom. We were greeted by Chris and given a tour of the spaces available to us which included a kitchenette stocked with snacks and goodies (midnight cereal, YES!), a wide selection of DVDs and board games. The room had a little fireplace, lounge room, large bathroom (no bathtub) and a super cozy bed. The ONLY thing that was less than perfect as that the blanket was a tiny stuffy smelling. We very much enjoyed this B&B. Be sure to check out the Belgian Waffle and the Village just across the way.
