BBQ Brisket was the best part of the entire evening! Check out Buddy's BBQ, no joke.

For starters, manager John Connor is unprofessional and his staff really needs some training. My credit card was being kept at the bar and was charged and given away to another guest. We were literally told to come back tomorrow to see if it turns up. Are you kidding me?!? No way was I going to just leave. After doing all the private eye investigation on our own, we managed to find out what happened and who had our card. We made all attempts to track our card down. Thankfully we struck up great conversation with the people at our table or else this would have never been possible. When the guest who was given my card called The Tudor House back, a gentleman, we're assuming was John, told her to figure it out on her own. Ridiculous! John was called while we were there, he provided no assistance to the staff and we overheard them say he had been drinking and that he said, "this is what I get for leaving women in charge." The performance was cute, the food was delicious, but there was a lack of staff and in the end proved to not know how to work their payment machine. This was our first and last time we will ever come back. Be cautious leaving your card if you come and if there is ever anything that requires manager attention, good luck! *1 star rating due to the fact I can't leave a 0*

    Awesome desert.

Tons of potential. They could do tours of the underground tunnels. They could develop dialogue and give tours that include information about the years Bugsy owned it. That was so interesting to hear about this place. As it is now...great entertainment. Be ready to have amazing waitstaff that is, however a bit clueless. We didn't get bread plates and ate over the tablecloth until our salad came. The food was ok. THE COOKIE DESERT WAS AMAZING. That is what got the 4th star. See my photo. For 4 people. Desert. Two drinks each. Dinner. $324 without tip. Be ready to open your pocketbook for something entertaining on the mountain. But, I think that this place could be so much more.

It was a great place for a sunday brunch before heading home. If you get there early enough before noon and the crowds, it's great to just take in the atmosphere and chat a little with the friendly staff. It was great interaction with the staff while the buffet was still being set up. Short to no lines and pretty good breakfast items. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Would've been nice to catch some shows but wouldn't have been in town for it. Bathrooms very clean, cleaner than my airbnb lol. And handicap accessible. Overall pretty good way to spend sunday morning!

What a fabulous night. Entertainment and delicious food. I went back the next morning for Sunday brunch. I regret I didn't take pictures of my dinner salad, vegetarian lasagna and garlic bread. It was only 14$. Sunday all u can eat brunch 25$ add 3$ for orange juice and 5$ for champagne or a Bloody Mary. Pre made hot items or made to order omelette or waffle. It was delicious. I don't get the food but a picture with the owner.

The easier way out on not going to Tudors .

beware of deception where do l start - first time to this place for brunch - super expensive to say the least - never again - brunch options were not that great at all - took 1 hour for 2 omelets owner was drunk by noon - ( and as quoted " its 5 o'clock somewhere"). added tips for a party of 4 go to ihop much better food and service . wow super disappointed .

Unfortunately after Covid the food declined and the price is unrealistic. The owner is very nice and I hope the place rebounds after Covid.

They even offer a plethora of classes for really young children so they can begin learning the terminology and discipline of dance while having fun (and dressing up in tutus!) It is so rare to find such a high caliber of dance education in a small town like this. If you are thinking of getting your son or daughter into dance, you should send them to this studio because it's not just an excellent dance school, it's also a supportive, loving community that will encourage your child to grow in more ways than one! Sharon, the director, mostly teaches ballet. She is very attentive and extremely technique oriented. Everywhere else that I've danced, in college etc., my teachers always ask who I trained with and they compliment me on my exceptional technique! I have Sharon to thank for that! Eli teaches ballet, modern, and jazz. He's hilarious and very unique, I highly recommend his classes for the more advanced dancer that wants a challenge! He always surprises and delights me with his awesome, and sometimes crazy, choreography! Josh teaches Hip Hop. His classes are always full because he's such a fun, high energy teacher! His choreography appeals to everyone because he draws on a lot of pop influences that infuse his style of hip hop. I myself have danced here for 20 years (yikes!) and I truly believe it gave me a strong work ethic, a strong sense of self, and amazingly strong calves to boot! I'd give it 6 stars if I could!

For the mountain, it's solid, the bartenders are friendly, the drinks are good, and the food is decent. That said, my main concern is with the atmosphere. It's... fine. And that's exactly the problem. As most of us know, there's a serious lack of entertainment options up here, especially for people under 60. Despite the older demographic, there's still a sizable group of younger, creative, and social folks looking for something to do. Sure, you could be satisfied with a '70s rock cover band for the 100th time in the village, but if not, then Dogwood has the potential to be the go-to spot if it just puts in a bit more effort. The last event listed on your website was in 2019. The last Instagram post was over two months ago, and the one before that was for New Year's Eve. With that kind of minimal effort in promoting and programming, it's no surprise the vibe is lacking. If Dogwood committed even 50% effort to curating consistent experiences and letting people know about them, I believe it could be one of the best spots on the mountain. Come on guys, my 94-year-old grandmother could do a better marketing job than you, and she barely knows how to use the internet. If you do better, you will be better!

This may necessitate a visit to a nearby ranger station or business for pass purchase - and not as many local businesses carry these passes as once did. Coming from Lake Arrowhead (where the Visitor Center was closed), we tried the Lake Arrowhead 7-11 and Cedar Glen Trading Post before finding passes available at Cedar Glen Fine Foods. The trail itself is well marked, mostly shaded, and a little less than a mile in length. It's also circular in design, so you don't need to backtrack with the same scenery coming and going. A brochure on the local vegetation and points of interest is available at the trailhead, as well as public restrooms. Many trees and plants along the trail are also identified by placards. Being a dirt path, the terrain is comparatively flat, and numerous benches have been placed along the route for rest or contemplation. There are only a few spots with noticeable increases (or drops) in elevation, so it's perfect for young children, older folks, or leashed pets. Even on a Thursday around 1:00 pm we encountered other visitors along the trail, several walking dogs. Another nice touch is the walking path in front of the arboretum entrance where the meandering cement walkway between information kiosks is stamped with the prints of local wildlife species ranging from our little feathered friends to the big furries you'd not want to encounter on a forest walk. This is a great place for a quick stroll for all ages, and it showcases the diversity of the San Bernardino mountains. If you've passed it by on the way up to Big Bear via Highway 18, pull over for a quick "leg-stretcher" and check it out.

It is especially beautiful during spring and summer, but we stopped in during late February. The trail itself takes about 30 minutes to get through and has 25 different viewpoints that are laid out on the map that you get at the front. The main highlights you will see are different types of trees, nesting boxes, small bridges, and just really tranquil, beautiful scenery, but my favorite was the giant sequoia trees. I would say that the sequoias are the highlight of the trail and were planted in the 1930s. It's a really peaceful walk where animals are allowed and we also saw many people jogging so it really is a multi use area. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys a scenic stroll through the forest.
