Oh my gosh, I found out that they had a new owner. We came back to the place. It was so amazing last night. They had a live band. Amazing food. I had the hamburger I think it was like seven dollars. My wife had the mac & cheese, which was freaking amazing that was five dollars. The IPA beers were all made from them and My Wife loved their wine which I found out. they also make. All the staff was very very friendly. You really felt like you were in the 1930s club. Everybody had cute names. Somebody was even doing car tricks. They had a huge dance floor. We will definitely become regulars. I even got to meet the new owner. They call him Kenny the kid. Very sweet man. I am so excited that this place is up and running again. read more

We have been going since they opened about 6 or 7 years ago. The entertainment and events may change, but the food has always been great!. If they have a Sunday brunch, it is a must. Great burgers, fun nights out. Even though they have quit a bit of parking ..it is very well attended, so go a bit early to ensure parking. For starters, manager John Connor is unprofessional and his staff really needs some training. My credit card was being kept at the bar and was charged and given away to another guest. We were literally told to come back tomorrow to see if it turns up. Are you kidding me?!? No way was I going to just leave. After doing all the private eye investigation on our own, we managed to find out what happened and who had our card. We made all attempts to track our card down. Thankfully we struck up great conversation with the people at our table or else this would have never been possible. When the guest who was given my card called The Tudor House back, a gentleman, we're assuming was John, told her to figure it out on her own. Ridiculous! John was called while we were there, he provided no assistance to the staff and we overheard them say he had been drinking and that he said, "this is what I get for leaving women in charge." The performance was cute, the food was delicious, but there was a lack of staff and in the end proved to not know how to work their payment machine. This was our first and last time we will ever come back. Tons of potential. They could do tours of the underground tunnels. They could develop dialogue and give tours that include information about the years Bugsy owned it. That was so interesting to hear about this place. As it is now...great entertainment. Be ready to have amazing waitstaff that is, however a bit clueless. We didn't get bread plates and ate over the tablecloth until our salad came. The food was ok. THE COOKIE DESERT WAS AMAZING. That is what got the 4th star. See my photo. For 4 people. Desert. It was a great place for a sunday brunch before heading home. If you get there early enough before noon and the crowds, it's great to just take in the atmosphere and chat a little with the friendly staff. It was great interaction with the staff while the buffet was still being set up. Short to no lines and pretty good breakfast items. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Would've been nice to catch some shows but wouldn't have been in town for it. Bathrooms very clean, cleaner than my airbnb lol. And handicap accessible. Its true, there is a new owner !!!...i went tonite for the 1st time after 6yrs due to former owner and met Ken, I gave him a big hug for rescuing one of my favorite places & making it for locals AGAIN !!!...fair prices & events !!!...I went to the Farmers market tonite & met Eric & his daughter and got some of the best fresh vegetables at a fair locals price, fyi i had them for dinner & im going back next weds !!! read more

What a fabulous night. Entertainment and delicious food. I went back the next morning for Sunday brunch. I regret I didn't take pictures of my dinner salad, vegetarian lasagna and garlic bread. It was only 14$. Sunday all u can eat brunch 25$ add 3$ for orange juice and 5$ for champagne or a Bloody Mary. Pre made hot items or made to order omelette or waffle. It was delicious. I found this place on Yelp when I was up here with my mother and sister for moms birthday weekend. While I understand from whence some of the negative reviews come, but I could not disagree more. It was a great brunch, especially for this area. This is not a brunch for those who want 50 dishes in a giant buffet. They have a waffle and omelet station that gives you many variations. I had them make kind of a Spanish omelet. My mother and sister had strawberry infused waffles. They have steamer trays: 1. Bacon/sausage; 2. Breakfast Potatoes; 3. Scrambled eggs; and 4. Stuffed French toast. There's a third area with fresh fruit and different desserts, which are brought out a little at a time. We sat by a huge fireplace. The space is rustic and comfortable. There's a stage where there are live music performances on weekend nights. The service was fantastic. The servers all help each other. Coffee and water are filled up consistently. The coffee was pretty good. The glass of champagne that starts everything out was pretty good too. There was plenty of food, great service, and the space was lovely. This was a great place for brunch. My mom was really happy too. There's no Wi-Fi and no signal here. I could not check in. But I also did not ask about a Wi-Fi password. Great brunch spot. read more

My husband and I just finished our first and last experience with The Tudor House. We were drawn here for the Wednesday Jazz Night that is held every week. Here is a breakdown of our experience: Ambience: The outdoor seating is very pretty and is set beneath trees decorated with lights. The jazz band starts at 6:30 pm and is a nice touch with dinner. The dinner is held outdoors and it gets rather chilly. Unfortunately, they do not have heaters, so guests should definitely bring a jacket to remain comfortable throughout. Service: All servers were very friendly; however, there was a huge lag between check-ins. Drink and food orders were taken promptly but the food took a really long time to prepare. We found ourselves asking for the check even before we were ready to leave because we knew it would take them a long time to come back. Food: This has to be the BIGGEST disappointment of our visit. They had a set menu with very few options: * Dinner: Choice of salmon or tri-tip accompanied with corn, apple slaw, and potatoes * Dessert: Carrot cake The tri-tip came with three small, tough, chewy pieces and the sides were mediocre. There were very minimal potatoes (three small balls to be exact) that lacked seasoning. I'm not a fan of slaw but it was a sweet version with carrots, apples, and raisins. The corn was probably the best side, topped with mayo, cheese, and chili spice. Overall, the dinner option was $32 per person. The menu was a bit unclear because we thought that this price included dessert. We were definitely wrong. Our check came in at a grand total of $93, not including tip. Curse that carrot cake, which was actually a cupcake. This place has potential to be a hidden gem but we left feeling cold, robbed, and disappointed. read more

The reviews for this place seem to be polarized and after visiting I understood why. Even while being very forgiving due to the COVID complications, the service for this restaurant is... armature... to put it nicely. The team doesn't seem to communicate with each other and our server seemed aloof and spacey. We had originally been sat in a table in direct sun. Originally we thought it would be okay but without any cloud cover it proved to be too much. After another table left we were able to move to a shady table but about 30 min into our meal they started setting up pop up shades. Ideally those shades should have been put up earlier so that the guests didn't need to see the team struggling to put it up and hear banging pipes as they clumsily erected them. While we were seated, we watched the server seat a couple at a table that had already been sat. The pervious guest had been directed to a bathroom from the server and when she returned, she had to sternly assert that the table was hers to the new guests (she had already made an order, had a drink, and left her keys at the table but the host cleared that away when she sat the new group). The reason for the 3 stars was because the food was delicious! I had the Short Rib Benedict which was generous with the meat and had a fantastic poached egg and hollandaise sauce. Our party also had a great waffle and the amazing blueberry bread pudding. So come for the food but maybe plan to come when it's cooler and shade isn't needed. read more

We drive by this restaurant all the time and finally got a chance to stop by and check it out. We were seated right away. After waiting 10-15 minutes for our waitress, very nice by the way, right away she told us that it is a buffet style restaurant and that the price per person is $40 because of Easter Sunday AND to excuse the fact that the service will be slow due to the holiday. Let me mention that they make fresh omelettes. Full disclosure, waiting time is long. The omelettes are made on a small portable, propane camping grill, to serve the entire restaurant. After 20 minutes we finally got one of the omelettes after it circled the entire restaurant. Yes! We saw the waitress do a full circle asking if the omelette belonged to them until it finally got to us. The whole entire time we were there, we got refills for our drinks, max three times and only because we kept asking for them. A regular customer walked in. I assume this because the moment they sat down they got the omelette before we did. We did not wait for the second omelette (an hour and a half). At this point, we were so annoyed and asked for the check. It took another 15 minutes to finally get it. Check for four people, was approx. $212. After leaving, we saw other reviews. It seems that even on regular days, the service is not good. Safe to say, not returning. read more

We sat for 15 minutes without a server acknowledging us, then looked at the buffet. It was a master and poorly stocked grocery store donuts and cold bacon. Recommend avoiding. read more

One of my favorite hidden gems in the area!! The main hall and garden are GORGEOUS and super unique old time Hollywood Vibe. The event schedule seems a bit without a clear identity but everything I have gone to has been enjoyable. The food vibe was a bit rough earlier in the season but whatever kinks they had seem to be getting worked out. While the menu seems to be limited currently, everything I have had has been very tasty and come out quickly thanks to the friendly and attentive new staff. I do wish they would take down the brunch menu from the website. Don't think I've seen that offered once in the year I have been up here, but lots of businesses up here seem limited on doing their website updates so... eh. Can't win them all. read more

The owners are very friendly and welcoming. We came earlier then it was open because the times on yelp need to be updated, but they allowed us to relax inside by the fireplace and offered us coffee while we waited for the food to be ready. We were here for Sunday Brunch. Small selection of food but very reasonably priced. They have a cook preparing fresh omelettes and waffles as well. The Tudor House is a fantastic venue but sadly is VERY poorly managed. As a long time Lake Arrowhead resident I've seen shows there many times and it's always the same. The food is marginal at best and the kitchen isn't set up to do that kind of volume so they often end up serving food in the dark during the show. The service is terrible. It's like non of the waitstaff has ever worked in a restaurant before. It's just sad that such a great location is so poorly run. read more

First I've been here many times and miss the brunch. It is a hidden gem in Arrowhead Villas and they are having some hurdles due to covid. We called in for last minute reservations with no problem a few weeks ago. Restaurants on the weekend down at the village is at least an hour wait so we appreciated being seated right away. I will say I'm a bit concerned for them having enough business. It's actually easier to provide prompt service when you are busy and the chef is on her game. The breakfast was good for our party but the short ribs Benedict was just too much meat. I'm used to this type of food melting in my mouth. The waffles were really good, blueberry French toast was delicious and meat frittata was delicious. On service level, they do need to be whipped in shape. When you only have 10-12 guest, the service has to be amazing. Our waitress was nice but maybe it's time for retirement as she just finished one table and then was only handling our table. I say this because I do care for the place as service can make or break the business. This place should be thriving and is not. Wish I could give it zero stars. Don't have a wedding here! My best friend had her wedding here in 2023 and it was a nightmare from the beginning. She confronted Brian about the other negative reviews and he did a good job convincing her to ignore those reviews but sure enough we found out they were truthful. Her family paid the main bill and were charged $450 fee for using a card but according to Google they aren't allowed to charge over 4% in CA. After the deposit was paid by the parents, Brian called the bride asking for more money for his coordinator and officiant duties to be sent to him personally so he could take his family on a trip. I found out later that the owner hasn't paid his employees in a month so that explains why Brian kept asking my friends for more money. My friend paid Brian $2000 to be her coordinator so she didn't have to stress about the wedding planning, working and going to school. Well Brian failed. He said he'd call her weekly and didn't. When he did call her he would just go on and on about his family. I as the Maid of Honor did most of the work for this wedding and barley enjoyed the event because I was decorating the whole thing, and then my husband the best man, was the one who made sure the wedding events all happened and directed everyone. The day of, Brian spent the whole day just washing and putting out the chairs for the ceremony. Idk why it takes all day for that but he did. Then after the ceremony he was MIA the rest of the evening. John the owner didn't see the problem with booking a big fundraiser with a live band on the same grounds and time as the ceremony. They had a yellow tent set up right behind the alter which would ruin her pictures. They finally found some black curtains to hang up to separate the events but it looked very tacky. Even the other event was furious because they new for months about it but Brian didn't tell the bride until a couple of weeks before the wedding which is too late to cancel. Every time my friend or I confronted Brian about something he never says sorry and he never says thank you when we do something he asked for. We always had to ask several times for him to do something as the coordinator. We were all so very stressed and busy, so the extra money for Brian coordinating was a waste. Tammy the chef was the only one who came through even though she was paying for the food herself because the owner wasn't paying her back and she was kind enough to not want to ruin this wedding. The Manner across the street where we stayed the night ($1200 extra) was a disaster as well. Missing lightbulbs, broken showers, no mirrors to get ready except for bride, stains on blankets, no soap to wash dishes, piles of trash in the back...etc. I could go on and on but just want to warn future brides in case you don't have the friends and family like my friend did to help save the day. read more

I truly felt Bad the way you made the servers feel like it was all their fault. And your wife's attitude was simply shameful! I am proudof the floor manager for standing up for herself and her crew clearly she recognizes free loaders when she sees them. Never been, wanted to try it after hanging out in the area. Once and never again. Easter Sunday was the unfortunate day to try this place out. Champagne Brunch (REALLY?!?!?) Nope, there wasn't anything sparkly about this "brunch". Food was not worth it and service was SUPER slow. Waitress was nice but not enough for us not to notice that we really didn't see her much or that the omelette's that were ordered over 30 min were not being served. Owner was present but enjoying his " DRINKS" and was not thinking about the bigger picture. If you have that many people going in and your omelette's are taking over 30 min, then get someone in the kitchen to make a bulk container of scramble eggs. Instead he is seating with friends or locals just shooting the breeze. (Bad management and judgement) read more

Just WOW! Driving to this hidden gem in the snow was a little scary but SO worth it! My partner & came here for Sunday brunch before heading home. Great atmosphere& staff. It felt like I was in someone's home. We didn't go when they had live music but I can only imagine how great it must be. So welcoming! The food was DELICIOUS! I absolutely love brunch & let me tell you it was probably the best taste I have ever had. My partner who's not a huge brunch person thought it was delicious as well! I can't forget to mention the attentiveness to the quality of the food. We knew it was buffet style before coming so that was not an issue at all. The chef noticed the potatoes were not as crispy as she wanted so before I even served myself, she took them back to the kitchen roasted them some more, & brought us a plate to our table.
