Streets are very narrow Stairs to the front door are on a loose gravel. This room gives a bad energy. In fact, whole house gives off a negative vibe. Poor lighting through out the house, majority of the lamps are missing light bulbs The windows are missing curtains so morning is very bright No AC but rooms have ceiling-fans and tower fans which helps to cool it down Overall, stay was extremely uncomfortable.

The bathrooms were clean , and yes they flush , not a portable potty. There is a small play area for kids and some benches with Barbecues. If you need the code for the gate the lodge will provide. If you are a local, contact the ALA . You can fish here, but there are signs everywhere saying do not eat what you catch and NO swimming. There are pretty foul life such as ducks and some geese , but the fish don't look so good . I saw at lease 5 dead catfish and 3 carp fish floating on the water. The water is very murky and dirty looking. It didn't smell though, and there was no trash in it. So the lake is look but don't touch status.

It's worn down and needs upkeep. The map they give to the pool is completely WRONG! The surroundings are beautiful and the temperatures in the evenings are nice, but it's hard to read or watch tv with all the noisy neighbors! And for some reason some units have garages and others don't! We did not get to have one but I don't know why. There seems to be quite a discrepancy between units. Also, only one car per unit is provided with a parking space and any other cars have to park quite a ways away! Because of Covid they had removed all games and books and movies. The unit looks pretty clean but the bathtub upstairs needs some elbow grease and a Mr. Clean eraser! It's dirty! TV channels are very limited and the screen in the living room is TINY!! After spending a week there I still feel they need a lot of upgrading- faucets, fixtures need replacing. The flow of water from the shower head was terrible!! Needs new shower heads and more pressure! The walkway down to the parking needed repairs and the railings needed some scrubbing! We couldn't use the fireplace which was a bummer. It did get quite cool a couple evenings we were there in August. It would have been nice. The kitchen is very tiny but seemed to have all that you would need. We ate out for dinner since two people really couldn't be in the kitchen at the same time! Overall it was an ok space, but with Lake Arrowhead being a private Lake, I'd go somewhere else. Like Big Bear.

But when they were younger this was the best vacation spot for me, as a parent. The kids are safe and having fun w their peers and super fun camp counselors, and the adults get to partake of the honor bar and wide array of activities. So, whether you want to do every activity available, or you want to spend the entire 4 days resting in your cabin, or somewhere in between, they've got you covered. The daily buffets will leave you (and your pants) feeling like you just came off a cruise ship. The entire staff is amazing. Be sure to tip well! They all deserve it. They have a drop slot at the front desk where you can leave a tip envelope at the end of your stay. I love coming back each year and seeing familiar faces. It's nice that the staff remembers us as well. They take the comment cards seriously, as they are always trying to improve their services. And they do their best to accommodate special requests as well! Just for giggles, I submitted a request for the honor bar via email. And I was very happily surprised when the item I requested was ready and waiting for me! I wish I had known about Bruin woods when I was at ucla. I would've jumped at the chance to be a camp counselor. If you have an affiliation w ucla and you have kids, I highly recommend booking a family holiday or summer week. You will not be disappointed. And you'll want to make this an annual tradition as well!

From spices and coffee and tea in the kitchen! To first aid and suntan lotion and Band-Aids in the bathrooms! And beautiful dinnerware and wine glasses, so plentiful! Every room was beautifully painted, artfully decorated, and ultimately comfortable! there were four TVs in the house, and comfy couches and chairs and pillows to enjoy! The house is so spacious, that each of us could do our own thing, And not run into the other three! That was possible, but that did not happen because we stuck together and enjoyed every room in the house, not to mention the deck outside the living room with chairs and barbecue, And the deck outside our master bedroom with chairs and table as well! The beds were just yummy and comfortable! The towels were big, fat & fluffy! I can't think of a thing that we needed! This house was decorated and supplied to perfection! In addition the Oktoberfest in the village was a blast, and the people were so great! There was such fantastic shopping, That I had to get matching plaid outfits for my three-year-old twin grandkids! We absolutely loved and enjoyed every moment at Honey Pine Lodge! And frosting on the cake? We did not have to climb 200 stairs to the front door! We pulled right up to the house! Easy peasy! It was a little dream getaway! I did not want to leave our pristine little lodge one bit! Total perfection!!!

Since our room wasn't ready yet, they gave us beach access cards while we waited, which we really appreciated. We ended up walking to the village for breakfast (about a 6 minute walk) and did the boat tour while waiting. Around 12 PM, we received both a text and a call that our room was ready. The room was clean and the lake view was absolutely beautiful. The kids loved the pool, and we enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. We also went down to the lake to catch the sunset, which was definitely a highlight even though the water was freezing. They had movie night and game room as well. The only downside was the TV in our room. It was pretty outdated, static at times, and we wished it had Netflix or streaming options where we could log into our own accounts. The hot tub could've also been cleaner. Overall, it was still such a relaxing getaway and a perfect Mother's Day trip for the family. We'll definitely be back again!

Upon arrival, Lia at the front desk was welcoming and courteous. She asked if we needed two room keys; although we mentioned that one would be enough, she still provided us with two. The room itself was decent. however, we encountered a few issues. The balcony door could not be locked which was concerning. While I was working on my laptop at the table, I began to feel intense itchiness on both of my legs. I tried using wet paper towels to relieve it but it was with so much discomfort so I eventually had to stop and walked away. At around 6 PM, my wife and I went to use the hot tub which was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. Unfortunately, the water temperature was warm, or maybe less than warm. So much so that most guests could not stay longer than 15 minutes. We did stay for a good 30minutes. Another guest even asked his wife to report it to the front desk. When she came back, she said that the issue had already been reported earlier but it appeared that no action had been taken. The chlorine level seemed extremely strong. The following day which is today, after doing laundry, my wife pointed out that the underwear I wore in the hot tub had changed color, from black to brown. compared to my underwear. Along with that, I've been experiencing ongoing itchiness, irritation and dryness on my legs and other parts of my body since using the hot tub.
