It updates live. Dogs are allowed. That's a rarity. Not just allowed but welcomed ie doggy specific towels and doggy specific do's and don't. The charm and hospitality of an Airbnb, but the ease of a hotel. Park right at your front door with your own little private patio. Arrived at 3 PM and tried out the swing. Ordered DoorDash, the cabin manual was full of personality and had thought of everything. The branding was gorgeous and high-end. From record player to funny notes of what can and cannot go in the toilets, I enjoyed looking at the art they chose. A few old photos in black-and-white from the 60s of movies shot in the area. Some of the owners' favorite paintings or playful depictions of the animals you would see here, every little sign and every little clock or lampshade you just get the sense that none of it was an old thriftstore placeholder. You get the sense that every piece was hand selected specifically for this cabin, new and energetic or meaningful. I read the binder and it was super easy to read, I even discovered two new restaurants I didn't know about. It gives you options of how to spend your time up here, including transportation options. I ended up walking out the back property towards the lake and then looping up across the street to Grey's Peak for a quick and challenging climb to get my heart rate up and introduce my newly adopted west LA shelter puppy to nature. Dog now snoring on the floor after his first ever off-piste hike. Lit some candles, used the hooks for my bags, put my feet up in the recliner, and had myself a laugh at this one house rule I read. You can tell the owners are pretty cool people with a sense of humor - rule number three starts off with you can't do side-by-sides ...and if you don't know what a side-by-side is, then perfect, this rule actually doesn't pertain to you anyways. Hilarious. Wi-Fi TV all the modern amenities. Even reminds you to log out of whatever account you used to watch something. Yet just as easy to come up and totally unplug Analog Style in this little cul-de-sac of cabins. I can't wait to see if someone borrows the guitar from the office or lights up a bonfire in the center and starts playing tonight.

It was located just across the street from the lake and village where we spent most of our time. The view from the resort is breathtaking and so relaxing! It was just what we needed! For anyone visiting Big Bear who…read morewould like to visit a park but not deal with tourist-heavy areas, The Ranch Park is such a wonderful spot. Located in the back of a residential area, the park features relaxing energy with some beautiful nature / mountain views. If you're looking for a place to see the famous Big Bear Wild Burros (donkeys), they are often roaming around this neighborhood, especially if you take Lakewood Drive to the back of the neighborhood. Sometimes they can be seen wandering around The Ranch Park, especially when it's early in the morning or late in the evening and not super crowded. There's a really nice fenced in dog park (The Ranch Bark Park), but also lots of other features including a playground, climbing rock, tennis courts, basketball courts, and a ADA-friendly walking path. Parking has never once been an issue in all the years that I've been visiting this park. There's a large free lot in the center of the park, as well as an additional lot across the street, and other places in the neighborhood where you could park on the street if you needed to. No structured bathrooms, but lots of porta potties that are regularly checked and usually pretty clean.

I would consider staying here again but I would want to go in early Spring or late Fall when it is cooler because the cabins do not have AC and only a fan to blow on you. I was hot and tired from a long hike I did and it was really hard for me to cool down in the room and get a nap in unfortunately. The good news is that the room cools off as soon as the sun moves behind the cabin. The studio suite I was in was pretty well equipped. Keep in mind they ask you to not rely on housekeeping to take care of any messes you might make while you are there. Sometimes when you go on vacation you sometimes want to leave the chores at home but this lodge asks that you haul out your trash and respectfully clean all the dishes used for coffee, etc. I was fine with that but just something you should be aware of when about to check out. Also read the literature they give you at check in thoroughly . I didn't realize I needed to hang a parking sign on my parked car until I read the brochure at 5am the next day but lucky for me my car was still there. Also reading the literature in the envelope they mentioned check out was at 11 but the introductory email I was sent said 10, so there was that indecision as to how late I should sleep in to but I just decided to check out at 7 instead and save any headache and also get a jump on the crowds at Grizzly Manor Diner. Great place for families tho, lots of space to run around outside, bikes to ride around, campfires to sit around, and bring your swimming trunks too. Taking a dip in their pool is the instant solution to the air conditioning dilemma besides taking a cold shower. I'd give Noon Lodge 4.5 stars w the opportunity for 5 if they had some AC, but like I said, check the temps ahead of time and probably stay here if it doesn't get above 80 the days you come.

Walked up, saw our name, grabbed the envelope which had the key, a map, a pamphlet and all inside. Walked right to our cabin and that was it. We stayed in cabin 10 since there was 6 of us. Downstairs was the kitchen, living room, bathroom with shower and a bedroom with a queen bed. Then upstairs, a loft with a twin over full bunk bed, then another bathroom with shower and a large bedroom with queen bed and a balcony overlooking the lake. There was a nice size pool with loungers, a few fire pits with chairs around, picnic tables, cute lighting, soft music. Games here and there like cornhole. Towels provided at the pool. Canoes that you can use. Just make sure to sign the waiver. We used the canoes everyday. No extra cost. Jesus was so helpful! Texted him a couple of times and immediately was there to help (like get the stuff for the canoe and turn on the fire pit, not any problems.) yeah the place is a little older but All of big bear is. It's outdoors. It's camping vibes. Sorry I didn't get more pics!

After check in we went to our room and there weren't any bath towels, I called and they brought in towels that were so worn out and scratchy it was uncomfortable. The TV in the room didnt work. The microwave was so dirty. The pillows were extremely thin and uncomfortable. At least the window AC worked to cool the room. The pool area was okay but they had a pile of broken patio furniture which seems unsafe.
