There is a fee per day/per car ($15 as of this writing), so plan accordingly. While I didn't camp, I did see some stunning campsites right next to the water and in beautiful condition. Lots of great hiking spots, lots of folks fishing and overall a wonderful atmosphere. There's even a Frisbee golf course. Very clean and well-maintained. Parking is included in the entrance fee. They are keeping them focused and teaching them all the skills they need to pursue their careers in Basketball. Both coaches are very involved in the practices and trainings and don't just tell the kids what to do. They join in and show them the proper way to do things. The park has bathroom facilities, BBQ areas, pavilions with picnic tables and an awesome playground. There's also a community pool facility that I heard hasn't been open in a few summers. You can tell the city maintains the park really well. I didn't see any trash around and the playground looks safe for kids. The local folks who were at the park with their kids were friendly and welcoming. 4 stars instead of five because I googled the park when looking for a location to have the family picnic and saw it had been in the news recently for an incident involving violence. There was one homeless couple lying on a blanket in the grass but they weren't bothering anyone. I'd come back, for sure.

The hike down is beautiful with wide desert views. Just remember: going back up is a workout. Bring plenty of water and be ready for sun. The hot springs themselves are awesome--several warm pools and the cold creek right next to them. It can get busy, but still really relaxing. Overall, a great adventure spot if you're up for a tougher hike. Would definitely go again.

The hike back from the hot springs is no joke, especially on a hot day if it gets to 80s. It is nonstop uphill for about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your speed. Still gorgeous.
