I was born with a mess for teeth, and always knew by the time I was 18 I would have to get an implant or something as I had a deciduous tooth right in the front of my face. I explored countless dentists, all suggesting a variety of methods or "ways of going about this". I have a very small face and features and very little room in my mouth so everyone kept reminding me of what a "challenge" this would be. When I met Dr. Carroll, he was maybe dentist number 13 or 14 I'd seen since I was 18 in trying to find someone who was A. honest, and B. not wanting to file down my good teeth with veneers. He was both and far more. He far exceeded my expectations, helped me avoided additional orthodontic work and gave me the smile of my dreams. Office is clean and spacious, front desk staff is awesome and extremely fair pricing and financing options.

I only had a small piece of my tooth chipped and went in expecting to have it repaired with a filling. Instead, I was told that I needed a root canal and a crown, which would cost nearly $4,000 with insurance. They also presented me with multiple payment plans. On top of that, they told me that I needed two bridges for the teeth next to it, suggesting that otherwise I could lose my natural teeth. That treatment was quoted at nearly $6,000. Without insurance, they told me the total could be around $17,000-$18,000. What made me even more uncomfortable was that when I said I wanted to get a second opinion and compare prices elsewhere, they told me to call them afterward and let them know what the other dentist charged so they could see if they could match the price. This made me seriously question their recommendations and whether the treatments were truly necessary. I then went to the dental office where I had previously gotten my teeth cleaned, and their assessment was completely different. They told me that I only needed a filling. They explained that the chip was very close to the nerve, so if I experienced significant pain after the filling, I should contact them because further treatment might then be necessary. They charged me only $175 for the filling plus a $50 fee because I didn't have an appointment. I also asked if there was anything else I needed to take care of. They said I had four other teeth that could eventually use fillings, but none of them were urgent or dangerous, so I could take care of them gradually. The total for all was about $2,100 without insurance. I'm not a dentist, so I can't say for certain which treatment was medically necessary. However, the huge difference between the two evaluations and prices was enough to make me very uncomfortable. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to expensive dental procedures, especially when you feel pressured or frightened into making a decision

This was honestly the worst dental experience I have ever had. I booked what I was told would be a…read moredental exam that included X-rays and a cleaning. The price was very inexpensive, which I was initially excited about, but I really regret not spending more and going somewhere else from the beginning. They started with the hygienist, who did the cleaning and X-rays. The cleaning itself was fine. What shocked me was the "exam." The dentist did not even perform a comprehensive visual examination of my teeth. My gums were never checked at all. The dentist basically asked whether I was having any pain or sensitivity. When I mentioned sensitivity in one particular tooth, she looked at that tooth and told me that a filling was chipping or had an issue, except that tooth has never even had a filling in the area where I was experiencing sensitivity. A treatment plan I was later provided said a different tooth needed a filling in 3 different areas. That was essentially it. My gums weren't thoroughly evaluated. They were not evaluated whatsoever actually. Other dentists probe the gums to check for recession or problems but that was never done here. My teeth weren't individually examined in any meaningful way, and I walked out not even knowing whether I have cavities or the status of the health of my mouth. I have never left a dental exam feeling so confused about the actual condition of my teeth and gums . When I later called because I was unhappy with the exam, they offered to schedule me with a different dentist at another one of their locations, which would have required me to drive approximately 45 minutes. I had actually been here a couple of years ago and remember the experience being somewhat better. I only returned because they sent me a reminder around the same time I happened to need a cleaning. This visit felt extremely rushed and impersonal, almost like an assembly line. Strangely, I felt like the hygienist was evaluating and discussing my teeth more than the dentist was. I now have to make an appointment with an entirely different dental practice and pay again for a comprehensive examination just to find out what's actually going on with my teeth. So the roughly $200 I spent here feels completely wasted, and choosing the cheaper option is ultimately going to cost me considerably more. If you're on a very tight budget and simply need a basic cleaning, this may be an option. But if you're looking for a genuinely thorough dental examination and want to leave understanding the health of your teeth and gums, I absolutely would not recommend this office. I deeply regret not going somewhere else in the first place.

As per the hygienist, Dr. Leon requires a 1hr min for cleaning. The cleaning is the most thorough I have ever gotten plus they always have multi-flavored rinses to choose from and the doctor is patient and caring. I also think most of his staff including the doctor speak both Spanish and English fluently so independent of your language of choice you shouldn't experience any barriers. Recently I went to one of those chain dentist groups and was in and out in 25 mins with little to no time with the dentist . This is not that kind of place. Expect to be there 1-1.5 hours if you have good hygiene - they take their time and the dentist will look at literally every tooth! Dr. Leon's office is state of the art with new, clean equipment and computers. The patient rooms are all glass framed with hardwood floors throughout. It's an amazing office with an exceptionally meticulous doctor and caring staff. Highly recommended!
