So I don't have a fantastic relationship with the dentist.... Like I'd rather take a punch from Mike Tyson straight to the chin before making an appointment with a dentist. Nevertheless, it's something that needs to be done and reluctantly and I went ahead and made an appointment with Dr.Bana's office after some research online and counted down the days. The office is on miracle mile and is the only thing occupying that business space. You walk in and everything is very clean and pristine. I check in and Im greeted my Lourdes, their office manager. Super kind and very personable. Once I head to the back, I can feel my blood pressure spiking -_- I'm here for a new patient intake and to make sure I get a deep cleaning cause I know it had been a while since I had been to the dentist. The dental assistant who took care of me must be an angel from heaven cause she really tried her hardest to make me feel like nothing was going to happen... I hate that I can't remember her name :(. Nevertheless, she was amazing and even put on some classical piano music with Amazon Alexa to help ease my anxiety. Once I met Dr. Bana, he just felt like an uncle you can shoot the s*** with. Best way to describe it. Professional but also puts you at ease and makes you feel at home. He checks my teeth, asks me not to break his chair from my gripping it and then proceed to discuss my future appointments. Deep cleaning is on deck and wisdom teeth removal, my heart sinks for both cause there's no way I can be awake for both and survive 0.0. He instantly offers IV sedation which has never been offered to me and I immediately accept. I've never just felt like everything is going to be alright in a dental office so this is definitely a first. He hands me off to the lovely Lauren who was handling their billing and next steps. We sat down and discussed insurance information, appointment dates, out of pocket costs and what to do up until my first appointment. All that and we even discussed our love for the rebel alliance. IYKYK. This was the icing on the cake.... This office is amazing. Overall, this office makes me feel like not every dentist is terrible and won't remind of Steve Martins character in Little Shop of Horrors. 5 stars isn't enough. I was looking for a dentist and came across Dr Bana's practice via Yelp. The experience that I have here is the best dental experience I've had in my life. From front desk, to the exam room, to the dentist. Staff is friendly, professional, informative, and helpful. They truly seem to love their job.... and that is not a common now a days! The facility is clean and everyone does the best they can in making you feel informed and comfortable (as comfortable as you can be at a dentists office lol). As someone who works a tight 9-5 schedule, they have been accommodating and so pleasant in the process of scheduling. I'm new to Miami and made my first dental appointment here because of the Yelp reviews I read. They were dead on. PROS: 1. The office is clearly sanitary and clean. Spaces between chairs in the lobby, digital motion detected soap dispenser in the bathroom, clean equipment. 2. Staff appeared to like their job. The assistant who did my x-rays and cleaning was educational in her approach. She seemed to love what she did which made my experience more positive. 3. TRANSPARENCY. Typically when I've visited dentists in the past, they don't show the x-rays, or photos in real time with me. Here, I could see the photos on the screen in real time. This made me feel I could trust their recommendations more as they had nothing to hide. 4. Before and after photos. They took close up high res photos of before my tooth cleaning. Then they showed me after photos as well. Incredible. 5. They put like a mini 3D camera and mouth. Within seconds a 3d rendering of all my teeth appeared on some high resolution screen. Very virtual reality. I feel like like these guys are the "Tesla" of dentists, but without all the Elon Musk manipulation that goes with Tesla. 6. DIGITALLY SAVVY DENTIST. I lived in NYC for most of my adult life. Never did I experience such digital heavy attention. It's incredible. CONS: honestly, I can't really think of any. read more

A couple of years ago I had a terrible experience with a dentist and since that moment, I was petrified to go near a dental office. Fortunately I found Dr. Bana and I could not be happier. From the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel at home, Didi is extremely welcoming, always patient and kind when dealing with patients. A VERY unique and delicate approach to costumer service. My teeth needed serious ortho work, however, working in a highly competitive industry where image is very important, I was truly skeptical to have braces any kind. Dr. Bana immediately had a solution for me with a personalized plan with Invisalign that would last a little over 15 months. The entire treatment went very smooth and aligned my teeth perfectly in the desired position. M dental treatment also required an extraction and two dental implants to make my teeth shift and my smile a 5 out of 5. They took very good care of me after every procedure ensuring that I felt fine during, before and after the visit. This is what makes them special. Every time you leave the office, you feel great. Needless to say that I truly could not be more pleased, not only with the quality and amazing results of my treatment, but more so with the level of professionalism and costumer service I have been given in every visit (and it has been plenty of them...trust me). WOW!! I wish I could give more than five stars!! I recently moved to Miami not long ago and was on the hunt for new doctors. I narrowed my search down to three dentists in the area and decided to go with Dr. Bana. Sooo glad I did. From the minute I made an appointment, I knew I had made the right choice. Upon my arrival to my scheduled appointment, I was greeted with smiling faces and efficient service. DD at the front desk helped me with paperwork and got me in to my appointment right on time. She is wonderful. AND Judy, the dental hygienist is extremely sweet and professional. You can tell right off the bat that she she loves her job and cares about the well being of her patients. In regards to Dr. Bana. I am now an Invisalign patient of his so I see him as well as his staff every 2 weeks. For someone who has had negative experiences with dentists in the past, I usually cringe when I have to make appointments. NOT ANYMORE! I can honestly say that I actually look forward to my visits. As a parent of a special needs adult male, it is a daily task that I do with pleasure and love. But, finding medical care is difficult due to the lack of facilities that offer care and dental care is even harder. We are blessed to have a dentist that goes above beyond to care for our children. Dr Bana is not only a great dentist but does whatever it takes to keep our families with great dental health. Our son has to be totally sedated due to his condition for everything from X-rays to dental work. There are extremely limited number of facilities that offer sedation. Dr Bana not only provides that service but is in constant communication throughout the entire procedure to let the parents know the progress. In 1993 my brother, Kris, was hit by a car. This left him brain-injured. As a result, he was in a wheel chair and had difficulty speaking, getting his words out. Kris lived in a group home. In 2009 I was made aware Kris required extensive dental work. The medications he took were rotting his teeth. Dr. Bana was his dentist. I don't live in Miami. I have never met Dr. Bana. The group home took Kris to Dr. Bana. Dr. Bana had a plan to save Kris's teeth. I agreed to the plan. Dr. Bana fixed Kris's teeth and then saw him every three months, to keep Kris's teeth stable, so he would never such a large amount of work again. Last month Kris became suddenly ill and died. It's too bad someone else could not have fixed Kris's other problems the way Dr. Bana fixed his teeth. This week Dr. Bana and his office sent me the most beautiful condolence card. Dr. Bana, and his office, are awesome. I am very grateful for the care they provided my brother. read more

My uncle was brain injured and not the easiest person to take care of. He recently passed away and Dr. Bana and his team sent my family a beautiful card. It was so touching. I have had an irrational fear of dentists all my life and don't remember stepping foot into a dental office ever since childhood. Two years ago I got an abscess on an infected tooth and even with unbearable pain I still avoided going to The dentists by choosing to go to an emergency room and getting antibiotics instead. I ignored their warning that I urgently needed to see a dentist and waited till the infection spread to the nearby tooth. I finally decided to walk into Ramon Banas office after extensive online review research and two chipped teeth. My first visit was okay. The front desk staff is really welcoming and there was no wait. The lady that takes the x-rays and that usually does the cleanings was a little rough with me and hurt my gums while taking the x-rays. She didn't really care that I was scared and throughout this process I regretted ever coming into the dentist. However as soon as Ramon Bana met me and heard about my fear he found a new assistant, an older lady, to finish the X-rays . This lady was super gentle and concerned with your comfort. Ramon Bana was genuinely interested in what this phobia stemmed from (not that I know why) and made it a priority that I was at ease. This is what made me decide to continue with this office. On my next visit I had two teeth extracted and about 6 or so cavities filled. This was all done under an anesthetic (IV). I don't remember a thing about the procedure and had very minimal pain after waking up. In less than a week I was eating solid foods like normal. My teeth now feel healthier than ever before and I am excited to continue working on improving them. After first moving to Miami, I was a bit nervous about my next dental encounter, as I had heard some bad stories from friends about other dentists. To my great fortune, a good friend of mine recommended Dr Bana's office. Ever since I first stepped in his office, Dr Bana's staff has made me feel incredibly welcome. They do a phenomenal job of maintaining good relationships with patients: everyone always greets me by name, keeps up with stories and background information I exchange, and makes me fully aware of what the next steps are. The environment is warm, friendly, and always leaves me wishing I could stay longer. The doctor, himself, is beyond five-stars! In contrast to my experiences with other dentists, he is very generous with his time and fully educates patients in presenting them their treatment options. Unlike my previous dentist, he is NOT pushy at all and does NOT force any sort of treatment plan on his patients. He is friendly, funny, and personable. Interacting with him is always a delight. After a few cleanings and dental check ups, I opted to have him remove my wisdom teeth (as he does these extractions, himself). This process went incredibly smoothly, in comparison to some of the horror stories I have heard. He took extra care, communicated very well to my caretaker, and even called me afterwards to check up on me. Absolutely the best in the game ! I had crazy anxiety and never got my teeth worked on out of fear and because most dentist were never patient with me. Dr.Bana sat there and walked me through everything and using affordable gas sedation I was able to extract 2 teeth. I also recently had a major emergency and it was right after July 4 that the office was coming back from vacay. They were able to squeeze me in same day and I was able to sit down again with dr bana and now I'm going back in 2 weeks for a root canal. When I tell you I will never go to another dentist because he is the absolute the best. Especially for patients who are terrified of the dentist. This clinic has the most up to date equipment I have ever seen in a dental office. They can scan in 3-dimensions using several different techniques and there are video monitors everywhere to show the results of these imaging experiments. I have a handicapped son whose teeth were almost all decayed from years of taking strong medicines for seizures and other problems. Every other dentist we visited wanted to just extract all his teeth and give him dentures. They could not seem to understand that dentures are a horrendous danger to somebody who has almost daily seizures that render him unconscious and unable to control his muscles. The dentures could potentially move around in his mouth while he is having convusions causing serious injury to his mouth and even his throat. Finally we found Dr Bana. He has infinite patience with problem patients like this and has almost finished a complete reconstruction of my son's mouth. My son now carries around a mirror to admire his new look and he happily looks forward to dental appointments because he knows that he is going to come home with more beautiful teeth. No matter what is your dental problem, Dr Bana can fix it. Both he and his staff are super friendly and the most patient people you will ever find. I am also greatly impressed with Dr Bana's ability to fabricate beautiful and functional temporary teeth on the spot. We have visited a lot of dentists in the past few years and Dr Bana is several orders of magnitude better than all of the others put together! Dr Bana is the absolute best dentist that we have ever visited. Can we give him 10 stars? He is kind and caring. His staff is friendly and they do whatever can be done to make the patient comfortable. Going to the dentist is never on the top of anybody's "To Do" list but the spectacular results that you get from Dr Bana and his team make it all truly worthwhile. They have the latest imaging equipment and do not simply rely on those old X-ray analyses. I have never seen a dental office that is as high-tech as this one. Not only that but Dr Bana is truly an artist as he crafts new teeth that look so much better than the original ones. My son, who is intellectually challenged, goes willingly to see Dr Bana and walks around for days afterwards carrying a mirror so that he can admire his nice new teeth.
