I paid $4,500 for bottom veneers at CG Smile Miami. Here is my honest experience: Within days of placement my veneers changed color to yellow and grayish. I returned to the clinic on July 8th where they repolished them. The color changed again within days after that visit. This alone proves that genuine BL1 emax porcelain Hollywood Smile veneers should not change color and these did, twice. Approximately 3 to 4 weeks after placement one veneer fell off completely while simply and gently flossing. I have my upper veneers done by a different provider years ago and have never had a single issue with them. The clinic's claims department refused any refund or partial credit despite these quality failures. I have full photo documentation and all email correspondence saved. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience because I would never want someone else to go through what I did. The biggest disappointment was not just the quality of the dental work--it was the complete lack of compassion and empathy throughout my treatment. During one of my procedures, I repeatedly felt significant pain. When I expressed that it hurt, the doctor dismissed my concerns and told me it didn't hurt. I stopped speaking up because I felt that if I stayed quiet, he would finish faster. What should have been a professional dental procedure felt more like torture. Since the beginning of my treatment, I have had to take ibuprofen every six hours just to manage the pain, and I continue to experience severe sensitivity. Throughout the procedures, the doctor became visibly frustrated with me multiple times because my tongue or lower lip was "in the way." The reality was that my mouth was completely numb from the anesthesia. I couldn't feel where my tongue or lip was, yet I could repeatedly sense his frustration instead of receiving patience or understanding. Being made to feel like an inconvenience while lying in a dental chair was incredibly distressing. Communication was also very unprofessional. I was often asked questions while my mouth was held open and instruments were inside it, as though I was expected to answer. In addition, while the doctor was actively working on my teeth, staff members frequently interrupted him with questions about other patients or evaluations. Instead of feeling like the focus was on my care, I felt like I was constantly competing for the doctor's attention. When I became uncomfortable enough to request a different doctor, I spoke with the office manager. I was told they could not change doctors. By that point, my teeth had already been drilled, and walking away was no longer a realistic option. What hurt even more was how my concerns were handled. When I explained my experience, the office manager told me she did not believe me. She also told me, "You chose this clinic, so you should have known." That statement was especially disappointing because I had only scheduled my initial appointments based on my availability, driving back and forth from Tampa to Miami for treatment. Rather than listening to my concerns or trying to resolve them, I felt blamed for my own experience. On top of everything else, I was fitted with temporary teeth that I was supposed to wear until my permanent restorations were ready. I was told these temporaries would closely resemble my final teeth, including their shape and color. Unfortunately, they lasted only one day before they started breaking apart. From that point forward, they continued to shatter every single day until my next appointment. Not only were they extremely fragile, but they also looked nothing like what I had been promised. The color and appearance were far from the expected result. I am attaching photos so others can see exactly what I experienced. After investing approximately $25,000, I expected high-quality work and exceptional patient care. Unfortunately, I received neither. My teeth are not even straight, I continue to suffer from extreme sensitivity, and the emotional impact of feeling dismissed, ignored, and trapped throughout the process has stayed with me. I showed up and, after a basic cleaning, was told I wasn't a candidate for veneers, only crowns -- despite being told the opposite after submitting my X-rays and photos. They clearly approve everyone just to take their deposit money (red flag3) . Only a licensed dentist should be making that decision -- not a coordinator. I asked for a refund and was given the runaround. It's now been TWO YEARS, and I still haven't received a dime. I've emailed their accounting and claims departments multiple times. He made me believe that scheduling was simpler and didn't promise to call me back constantly like Sonjia did. Still, both seem to be salespeople, likely working on commission. The worst part is their outright scammy behavior. They immediately want you to pay a $5,000 deposit; regardless of whether your appointment is a week away, two weeks away, or a month away. They initially asked for $1,000, but once they knew I had my flight booked, they suddenly said I needed to pay the full $5,000. They claimed it was because the appointment was close and they were fully booked, but it's clear they're just trying to scam money out of people. The experience so far has been bizarre. First off they rushed me into getting the veneers pretty much felt forced and once they started sanding the teeth it obviously was forced. Secondly the dentist did not like the fact that I did not like my first or second mold and failed to check the temps and decided not to and then or prep them. 20 minutes after leaving a piece broke off, there is air space in them or has been 6 days and over 15 calls and they do not respond when they do which has been twice they say they'll call me back with an appointment and never call back. They push you to use Affirm to "lock in the price"--do not fall for this. The offices are clean and well-presented, and while most of the staff are kind, some become unprofessional and rude, especially once you've already paid and start returning with issues. My sister has already lost seven, yes, seven, and is only been a year since she had them done. Their latest excuse is that this happened because she wasn't wearing a night guard, even though they saw this in her file and never mentioned it to her. After she returned for the sixth veneer that fell off, they suddenly decided to give her a night guard "for free" just yesterday. If the issue were truly due to not wearing a night guard, why is it different veneers falling off each time instead of the same one? That explanation makes no sense. I have repeatedly messaged the owner Camila Guiribitey, and the only response I've received is a casual "Hola Maribel". Quite a different attitude from when I first reached out a year ago to schedule my sister's procedure. We are still waiting for a proper and reasonable response, but so far, nothing. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at CG Smiles. I have reached out multiple times and still have not received a call from anyone in management. I was told the only way to reach a manager was through email, and I was given a manager's name, but to this day, no one has contacted me. this office does not appear experienced in veneers. The veneers I received were all the same size and thickness. If you are someone who wants smaller or more natural looking teeth, this may not be the place for you. What I received looked like the same teeth I had before, just whiter, but not refined or customized to my request. Though they said they can do it. The hospitality was also very poor. There was little compassion or care shown for the fact that this is a serious dental procedure, not just a cosmetic work. While waiting to be seen, I witnessed a young woman run out of the office crying. At the time I didn't understand why, but after my own experience, I honestly wish I had walked out right after her. Financially, this experience was extremely upsetting. You are given one price, but once you are already there and committed, you are told you need to pay more. I was charged an additional $3,600, which I was not prepared for. It felt like once you are in the chair, the focus became money rather than patient care. Physically, I am still suffering. When you speak to the coordinator and you get that sense of shadiness, you've gone too far.."Turn around!!!!" We paid $6,400 in full for 16 veneers. My contract even says paid in full. On top of that, we spent over $5,000 traveling to Miami. That included $3,000 on hotels and flights, another $2,000 on food and expenses, and 8 days away from our kids. All of that just to be told, when we arrived, that we suddenly owed another $7,400 for crowns we never agreed to. That brings the total to $13,800, which is way beyond the budget we were very clear about from the start. If we had known this, we would have gone to a trusted clinic in Turkey and received far better treatment for less money. Instead of my wife being treated at CG Smile like we expected, she was sent to some random place called Moderna Dental. It felt like a cover to hide what CG is really doing. After talking with the dentist, we were blindsided by the $7,400 upcharge. That was never mentioned before, and again, we had already paid in full. When we refused to pay more, they told us we could cancel but would lose $1,000 just for backing out. At that point, we tracked down the actual CG Smile office about 20 minutes away. We walked into a locked building, finally got in, and found what operated like a sweatshop. The workers pointed us to an office manager who barely spoke English and had no real answers. After going back and forth, she offered us a "better deal" of $5,000 instead of $7,400. Still outside our budget. I told her I did not want to do business with CG Smile or anyone connected to it and asked for a refund. She said the cancellation fee was now $1,400 instead of $1,000 because my wife got an X-ray. So now, just for walking in and doing the bare minimum, we are out $1,400. When a contract says paid in full and our budget was clearly stated, how does it make sense to suddenly demand another $7,400? It is obvious this is how they operate. I would not be surprised if they do this to 50 people a month, pulling in over $600,000 a year in cancellations alone. I will be tracking down the owner, their LinkedIn, and any investors tied to CG Smile to make sure this gets seen. Taking advantage of people like this is unethical. Oh yeah, when we told the office manager we might go to Turkey, she told us not to because they would mess it up. The irony hit hard in that moment, because we were already getting screwed right here in America. What they charged us is no different than the cost of any U.S. dentist and three times more than what we would have paid in Turkey, with better dentists. Do not screw yourself by going here. I was contacted by Massile (super horrible and unprofessional patient coordinator). After sending a $1000 deposit that when I noticed some small issues. 1.) You are required to pay up front for your services- this should have been a major red flag and I choose to ignore it! 2) After sending the final payment $6400 the professionalism went down the toilet, Massile was rude and unresponsive. I set an appointment with her only for her to schedule me at completely different dental office who is under the cg smiles network-( Moderna smiles.) I was messaged the coordinator and ask her how can you schedule a patient to a new location that is almost an hour away and do not inform me at all. 2) I was shocked at her response. furthermore, I showed up at my appointment at moderna smiles and only after cleaning my teeth they informed me that they cannot put veneers on only crowns. Initially , prior to sending any funds ...the patient coordinator told me I was a perfect candidate for veneers after sending my X-rays and photos to her but it was all a lie they pre approve anyone just to obtain your money. Only a dentist should be able to approve you or give a consultation as to whether you are a candidate for veneers. After the failed appointment, I then asked for a refund and was given the run around for MONTHS.
