The experience so far has been bizarre. First off they rushed me into getting the veneers pretty much felt forced and once they started sanding the teeth it obviously was forced. Secondly the dentist did not like the fact that I did not like my first or second mold and failed to check the temps and decided not to and then or prep them. 20 minutes after leaving a piece broke off, there is air space in them or has been 6 days and over 15 calls and they do not respond when they do which has been twice they say they'll call me back with an appointment and never call back. The pain I'm feeling is unbearable. Going to have to get an attorney from what it looks like and they still have not finished the Permanent veneers. Had someone look at the molars that are exposed from the temps chipping and it seems they didn't even do a proper cleaning although they charged over 1000 dollars for it. They added a bunch of new charges and then pressured me to get a loan for those new charges. After sending a $1,000 deposit and then the full payment of $6,400, the red flags started immediately. They require full payment upfront, which I now know is a major scam tactic. 2 days before my appointment Without warning, Massile scheduled me at a different clinic -- Moderna Dental, almost an hour away from my house. I showed up and, after a basic cleaning, was told I wasn't a candidate for veneers, only crowns -- despite being told the opposite after submitting my X-rays and photos. They clearly approve everyone just to take their deposit money (red flag3) . Only a licensed dentist should be making that decision -- not a coordinator. I asked for a refund and was given the runaround. It's now been TWO YEARS, and I still haven't received a dime. I've emailed their accounting and claims departments multiple times. At first, they acknowledged my request -- then completely ignored all follow-ups. They're hoping I'll give up. I won't. To make it worse, Massile tried to talk me out of going to Colombia, saying they'd "mess it up." The truth? Meanwhile, I also spoke to another guy from the same company, who was easier to communicate with. He made me believe that scheduling was simpler and didn't promise to call me back constantly like Sonjia did. Still, both seem to be salespeople, likely working on commission. The worst part is their outright scammy behavior. They immediately want you to pay a $5,000 deposit; regardless of whether your appointment is a week away, two weeks away, or a month away. They initially asked for $1,000, but once they knew I had my flight booked, they suddenly said I needed to pay the full $5,000. They claimed it was because the appointment was close and they were fully booked, but it's clear they're just trying to scam money out of people. Throughout this entire process, the story kept changing. Every time I spoke to someone, there was a different excuse or story. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at CG Smiles. I have reached out multiple times and still have not received a call from anyone in management. I was told the only way to reach a manager was through email, and I was given a manager's name, but to this day, no one has contacted me. this office does not appear experienced in veneers. The veneers I received were all the same size and thickness. If you are someone who wants smaller or more natural looking teeth, this may not be the place for you. What I received looked like the same teeth I had before, just whiter, but not refined or customized to my request. Though they said they can do it. The hospitality was also very poor. There was little compassion or care shown for the fact that this is a serious dental procedure, not just a cosmetic work. While waiting to be seen, I witnessed a young woman run out of the office crying. At the time I didn't understand why, but after my own experience, I honestly wish I had walked out right after her. Financially, this experience was extremely upsetting. You are given one price, but once you are already there and committed, you are told you need to pay more. I was charged an additional $3,600, which I was not prepared for. It felt like once you are in the chair, the focus became money rather than patient care. Physically, I am still suffering. I cannot eat properly because one side of my bite has spacing. I also cannot drink anything hot or cold, everything must be lukewarm due to ongoing pain in my bottom teeth. Because of this entire experience, I don't want smile. I've also got depressed because of this. I'm very concerned because I am bleeding from one of my upper teeth also, which is especially alarming since this tooth has a crown that was placed by this office. If I could give zero stars, I would. This place is a complete scam. From start to finish, it has been a mess of lies, bait and switch tactics, and shady business practices. When you speak to the coordinator and you get that sense of shadiness, you've gone too far.."Turn around!!!!" We paid $6,400 in full for 16 veneers. My contract even says paid in full. On top of that, we spent over $5,000 traveling to Miami. That included $3,000 on hotels and flights, another $2,000 on food and expenses, and 8 days away from our kids. All of that just to be told, when we arrived, that we suddenly owed another $7,400 for crowns we never agreed to. That brings the total to $13,800, which is way beyond the budget we were very clear about from the start. If we had known this, we would have gone to a trusted clinic in Turkey and received far better treatment for less money. Instead of my wife being treated at CG Smile like we expected, she was sent to some random place called Moderna Dental. It felt like a cover to hide what CG is really doing. After talking with the dentist, we were blindsided by the $7,400 upcharge. That was never mentioned before, and again, we had already paid in full. When we refused to pay more, they told us we could cancel but would lose $1,000 just for backing out. At that point, we tracked down the actual CG Smile office about 20 minutes away. We walked into a locked building, finally got in, and found what operated like a sweatshop. The workers pointed us to an office manager who barely spoke English and had no real answers. After going back and forth, she offered us a "better deal" of $5,000 instead of $7,400. Still outside our budget. I told her I did not want to do business with CG Smile or anyone connected to it and asked for a refund. She said the cancellation fee was now $1,400 instead of $1,000 because my wife got an X-ray. So now, just for walking in and doing the bare minimum, we are out $1,400. When a contract says paid in full and our budget was clearly stated, how does it make sense to suddenly demand another $7,400? It is obvious this is how they operate. I would not be surprised if they do this to 50 people a month, pulling in over $600,000 a year in cancellations alone. I will be tracking down the owner, their LinkedIn, and any investors tied to CG Smile to make sure this gets seen. Taking advantage of people like this is unethical. Oh yeah, when we told the office manager we might go to Turkey, she told us not to because they would mess it up. The irony hit hard in that moment, because we were already getting screwed right here in America. I live in Michigan and to get the work done that I needed I was quoted $50k. Cg smile completed all of my work for half of that! I used to have a headache every day from teeth pain. I no longer have that. I don't have to worry about losing any jaw bone. And most of all I have confidence. My veneers look amazing. The implants are made from the best quality materials and they look natural. I'm beyond happy. I'm constantly smiling and no longer covering my mouth when laughing or feel self conscious when I'm talking to people. The one thing is sometimes communication was a little stressful and for one appointment I waited in the office a few hours past my time. Fraudulent Scammers! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! They are awful! 1st, they tell you one price, get you approved by "cherry" finance. Then once they've already charged you that full amount, they say you'll need a few thousand dollars more of work. Then they offer to get you approved by another credit card "Alphaeon". Then once you're paid in full they start the work. They gave me YELLOW plastic vaneers. I asked for white porcelain vaneers, and that is what my treatment plan and receipt says. They are YELLOW!!! My teeth are now darker than they were before I went there. They refuse to even call me back, let alone fix the problem or refund me. I have called, emailed, texted, even went on all of their social media and they just delete my comments and block me. I won't stop fighting though! So please beware! I have photographic evidence of my x-rays both before and after the procedure, which clearly indicate that a filling was not performed, despite being charged for it. Upon returning home to Texas, I discovered that my bite was misaligned and causing discomfort to my bridge. As I was numb and had debris in my mouth at the time of the procedure, I was unable to fully assess the results until later. Despite my repeated attempts to contact the clinic and request all relevant documentation, they have refused to provide me with anything other than copies of my payments. DO NOT GIVE CG SMILES ANY MONEY AND DO NOT SIGN ANY DOCUMENTS-please learn from me! I saw there instagram ad and was curious about getting veneers! I was contacted by Massile (super horrible and unprofessional patient coordinator). After sending a $1000 deposit that when I noticed some small issues. 1.) You are required to pay up front for your services- this should have been a major red flag and I choose to ignore it! 2) After sending the final payment $6400 the professionalism went down the toilet, Massile was rude and unresponsive. I set an appointment with her only for her to schedule me at completely different dental office who is under the cg smiles network-( Moderna smiles.) I was messaged the coordinator and ask her how can you schedule a patient to a new location that is almost an hour away and do not inform me at all. 2) I was shocked at her response. furthermore, I showed up at my appointment at moderna smiles and only after cleaning my teeth they informed me that they cannot put veneers on only crowns. Initially , prior to sending any funds ...the patient coordinator told me I was a perfect candidate for veneers after sending my X-rays and photos to her but it was all a lie they pre approve anyone just to obtain your money. Only a dentist should be able to approve you or give a consultation as to whether you are a candidate for veneers. After the failed appointment, I then asked for a refund and was given the run around for MONTHS. I disputed with my bank but paperwork they make you sign has clauses in that says if they cancel an appointment or cannot perform a service you are not entitled to any of your money back. I've been trying to work with them in a friendly manner. They ignore my calls, when they do answer, they make excuses and insist they will make it right and never call back. See all negative reviews, please! they are telling the truth. I have been in pain since my work was done 2 months ago, unable to eat. Two veneers fell out within 2 weeks of the original placement. The bite was off and the pain and sensitiveness horrific. I have been to my dentist in Texas, 5 times and am still in pain, going for my sixth visit next week. I can't eat, or drink cold or warm is so painful. Called after and they will tell you you chose to come to Florida, which is your problem. Now the saving money is way over what I could have paid in Texas. February 28th**UPDATE** It was over 1 month from my last visit, Dr. Luis acknowledge the discoloration of the veneers which are not white, instead yellowish. He committed to replacing all 20 veneers, I have not heard back from the office to schedule the visit although in front of me he asked the staff to schedule an entire day appointment. I call the office and can't speak to anyone, if you leave a message, sit and wait for someone to call you back, I have been in contact with the office front desk manager via her personal phone, sometimes she answers my messages, but most of the times a week goes by and she does not reply. Last lie was, she is still waiting for the owner to approve it and an available appointment, that was over one week ago, you mean to say that although the doctor approved the replacement over one month ago, this decision hasn't been discussed with the owner. So I asked were do I stand? This people are a joke. I am totally in disbelief of the way they operate, not to mentioned they answer all reviews with the same lie, that they take all patients reviews serious and work to improve. UPDATE : after a year and a half of seeing a different aesthetic dentist, a periodontist and an endodontist the only course of action was to replace all the veneers that CG Smiles put on to stop the constant pain. I can't even describe the relief I felt as soon as the new temps went on. I hadn't been able to eat anything remotely crunchy or too cold (even refrigerated was too sensitive) in over a year.After all the additional dental work I had to have done (two full crowns, 3 root canals from inclusions, two rounds of surgical crown lengthening to fix their "laser crown lengthening" , plus the new veneers, I paid an additional 35k to get the smile I wanted. AVOID THIS DENTIST IT IS NOT WORTH THE PAIN AND SUFFERING. I thought I had lost my bite forever, if I could go back in time I would have never touched my teeth. Not to mention it took me and my dentist calling and emailing over the course of weeks for them to send over only some of my dental records. read more
