My husband was treated by what he later discovered was an unlicensed dentist. He discovered this when the woman could not speak english and the receptionist was in the room translating. Very unprofessional. He reported this to the state licensing board who said they could not find any proof so nothing was done and I am sure this is continuing. The work done was substandard and had to be corrected by another Dentist. He asked for the license of the woman who worked on his teeth and said he would pay the balance due on his VERY EXPENSIVE bill as soon as Dr. Sierra provided the license of the woman she had treating patients in her office. This license was never provided and Dr Sierra dropped the case. The office is beautiful so I thought it was a safe place. I should have known that a Dentist offering facial cosmetics for which she is not trained, is a HUGE RED FLAG. read more

DO NOT COME HERE!! THE WORST "DENTIST" IN FLORIDA Karent Sierra was extremely unprofessional. 1. Patient Neglect Both she and her assistant left to treat another patient during the middle of the procedure. I was laying on the procedure chair completely by myself with a suction tube in my mouth for more than 30 minutes. When she finally came back, I pointed it out. She got very irritated and defensive. At first, she lied about the fact she left to treat another patient, then she admitted it because someone else helped me proved it. All I wanted to do after that is to leave because I am seriously questioning her ability and her professionalism. The whole procedure feels so rush and unorganized (the treatment took 30 minutes but I was waiting for 2 hours). I was and still am deeply regret the fact I chose to go there. And after she angrily finished my surgery in a rush, she left without asking if everything is all set. Which again prove the unprofessionalism. 2. Unprofessional environment The clinic looks more like a beauty salon. Apparently she also does facial, implants, facial rejuvenation and other plastic surgery. I mean if she works like this as a "dentist", I would absolutely NOT recommend anyone to go get anything done there. Guess she can not make money out of being a "dentist". 3. Overpriced Service She charged me 150 dollars to re-cement (glue my crown back in place). And she kept on telling me how I should be appreciate about the special discount because it is usually 250 dollars. I checked with my previous dentist(back in NY). It is around 50-70 dollars for recement a crown. I went to the dentist, tried to fix an issue. But now I left with more problems. NEVER GO BACK AGAIN! read more

I absolutely loved this place. The office, the people, everything! Rosy was incredibly nice over the phone as she is in person. She set my appointment really quickly. I met Linda for a cleaning and the experience was super fun! She even gave me a paraffin wax treatment for my hands and a cleaning kit!!!! Most important she taught me a lot. She is amazing explaining everything and making you laugh. Dr Karent is so so nice and caring too. She really takes her time to probe and ask questions to make sure you are doing great. She also has the Sharing Smiles Foundation. The work they do it's beautiful. You can see the family environment they all share and as a patient they make you feel part of that. They teach you a lot. Would NOT recommend this place. I booked an appt because I was not able to travel back home to see my normal dentist. They tried to diagnose me with 4 cavities after never having a single cavity before and regular trips to the dentist 2-3x per year. I was skeptical of their findings and chose to travel back home solely to see my normal dentist. Both my normal dentist and another 3rd provider did a complete exam and saw nothing, not even anything to "watch". If that wasn't frustrating enough, I didn't even get to see the doctor during my appt. Even more, they never once warned me in advance that she wouldn't be there. Rather, I had my cleaning and immediately after was told "oh btw the doctor is on vacation right now". A forewarning would have been nice, I would have rescheduled. In summary, would NOT recommend this place for your dentistry needs. Seek a different provider. read more

Today was my first visit @ Dr. Sierra's establishment and I can't wait to visit again. Weird right? Can't wait to go to a Dentist office? Yeah, I know. Maybe it was the glass of red wine I was greeted with, or the iPad they gave me to take a selfie and fill in my patient info. In any case, I hope you're ready to get a mini spa treatment when you're there. Not only did my hands feel so smooth and moisturized when I left, my TEETH WERE SO WHITE AND CLEAN! Linda did an amazing job being courteous and gentle with my teeth. She showed me all my dental issues that needed to be address, gave me all he necessary prevention and care info, plus even provided me with a travel kit to make sure my teeth stay clean on the go. The staff was very nice and professional, however, the procedure I had done did not last. Botox usually lasts me at least two to three months, and get great results. This was my first time having it done with dr Sierra, I thought I give her a try since she's very close to my office. I never saw results, I looked exactly the same after. Professional to the last detail. I was very impressed with my first visit. Scheduling my appointment was fast and easy. The office is beautifully decorated with a waiting area I wouldn't have minded staying in longer (my wait was almost nothing). The exam was thorough with xrays and photos taken and special attention given to educating me on everything done. The cleaning finished with a hot steamed towel and by the time I got to the front desk my next appointment was scheduled, insurance had covered the whole visit and I was sent off with a bag of goodies. read more

- KARRENT SIERRA IS AN UNETHICAL DENTIST - I am writing the details as I feel like this is my citizen duty to do so. I also never write reviews. I came in first to fix a moving crown that was unstable. It just needed to be glued. Just by touching she told me I was going to need an implant (major surgery), and confirmed after imagery. She did not accept taking the recent top of the line X-rays from my dentist from 3 months prior and ended up Xraying all my teeth again, only to throw her pivoting screen in my face while seating down to tell me that I am up for a big amount of work this year...! She then goes on explaining to me I had Bone loss by 30%, Dry mouth, 3 cavities around and about 6 decays because of it. My dentist on the west coast became a friend and is practicing for 25 years, 5 years on me. He has never seen any of these conditions on me before and certainly not could have happened in 3 months! Karrent staff systematically validated the fake diagnosis above my degrading face in the seat. Oh, and because I am now having a terrible mouth, had me signing up for the fluoride pills prescriptions that are not all reimbursed by insurance even though they tell you it is. I ask her what she thinks that I am doing Epsom Salt bath after brushing every day (which is one the healthiest things you can do to restore neutral PH and avoid cavities), and she blank says it makes things worse and that I should go for the subscription. I signed it at first and cancelled later understanding the whole thing was a SCAM. She then tells me that she will treat me as Family, because i came referred to her by a "great friend of hers who is family to her" which is not true either. She goes on saying she hates being the "bearer of bad news" and that she feels bad for the dentistry I had just done. Usual tactic to gently discredit the counterpart work, which BTW my new dentists acknowledges and has qualified as "impressive". I called my dentist friend to have a second opinion. He required to see the X-ray. Rosie (the assistant) first sent me an other person X-ray (surprising isn't it?) and only after insisting on them not being the right ones, sent me mine: My dentist already knew the diseases were not true when I talked to him after the appointment. The now actual diagnosis is that out of the half dozen decays she pointed it out to me and 3 cavities, only one tiny decay was to be eventually considered and looked at. I also purposefully consulted on a third opinion from my new dentist in Sunny Isles: 1 decay which is now fixed. No dry mouth, no cavities, nothing nowhere. Circling back to the Crown that needed to be glued, it came off on its own a couple days after I came in. The bone inside is dead from a route canal years ago but it is completely stable in the jaw and no fractures in the length, healthy and does not need anything but glue! Why would I need an implant like she said?! Terrifying.I called to make the appointment to glue in emergency which she should have done in the first place! But she was too busy diagnosing my virtual diseases then. As she was then on vacation, I ask Rosie who would do that and she answers "an assistant" -My dentist friend tells me that there is no way an assistant should do that. I am then running away from them for good, went to my cirrent dentist who is ETHICAL - Now, do not misread: miss Karent may be a good skilled and TECHNICAL dentist. But I certainly did not want to take the risk to spend 100K to figure that one out. Before anything, a Doctor must have at least some kind of ETHICS and TRULY HONEST caring feelings to their patients, not GREED. Now, who would not be alarmed by a dentist giving you some Parafene gel bath for your hands while practicing HAIR REMOVAL and BOTOX INJECTIONS in the other rooms!? In most states you'd lose your license as a dentist, doing that. My trusted dentists just could not believe it! Doctors like that hurt the beautiful profession. GREED is the common denominator in her practice and it all was clear after I recuperated emotionally. She leveraged the natural trust to medical care only to do a FAKE DIAGNOSIS AND ABSOLUTELY UNNECESSARY TREATMENTS. The worst is that the staff is indeed very sweet! That is how sick this situation is, as they all know what is going on and been there a long time.Please don't be fooled by their caring attitude and Charity work pictures on the walls.. Ask for a TREATMENT PLAN and for a 2nd opinion if you want to go there. The feeling is that after doing this for years and years, they don't even realize they are lying to themselves anymore. I called the assistant Rosie out on all the above. She was cornered and did not know what to say in the end besides that it sounded obvious that she knows she is part of a malpractice. Lastly she did not practice the fee schedule that should have me pay $150 instead of $305.'Coming from a close friend',she gave me a $35 rebate instead to pay 270. Do not go to this dentist. I am still dealing with a crown that I cannot bite down on and a filling with the same issue. I went back three times to have the dentist look at both issues with no relief. The dentist has two assistants that appear to do everything for her. During the crown she was so rushed she didn't even wait until the anesthesia took before she started drilling and when I complained because of the pain, she said it was because of the type of anesthesia I could tolerate. I have never been to a dentist that allowed you to be in pain and continued with a procedure. I kept coming back for fixing of both the crown and the filling because I could not bite down. The assistants (not the dentist) were the ones who tried to fix the issue. The issue was not fixed. I went to another dentist and was told the crown had margins--so bad job there. I called the insurance and was told I would have to go back to this dentist--not a chance!!!! My advice to this dental office, focus on what you want to do--a beauty salon (parafin, facials etc) or a dental office1-you're failing to provide the basic service of dentistry. Spare yourself the pain and find a better dentist. read more

I took a chance on Sierra dentistry when a friend of mine recommended her. At every other dentist that I have been to and have had cavities filled/ cleanings, the pain from the needle was too much for me to bear and the dentists/dental hygienists were very rough. I couldn't believe it when Dr. Sierra put the needle in and I didn't feel a thing. I was in disbelief. The staff Rosie (front Desk), Linda (dental hygienist), and Dr Sierra are so kind and helpful. Rosie is so understanding to my needs and my very hectic schedule and always tries her very best to work with me. The dental hygienist Linda was fabulous! I went to Dr. Sierras office today for the first time for a dental evaluation due to some concerns and reservations I had from a previous evaluations. Needless to say, Dr. Sierra confirmed what I had felt all along, I only need to have laser on one tooth to achieve the results I wanted. She offered to do the procedure same day and within less that 15minutes the entire process was complete. I will say that she has the hands of an angel! I didn't feel a thing! Didn't feel the anesthesia, nor did I feel the laser. She did an amazing job; she is truly an expert and professional in her field. I loved how everyone in her office treats you like family; especially since dental visits are usually a bit on the scary side. And of course, I LOVED the results of the procedure she did. I'm not one to write reviews but I felt it necessary to write one in this instance. I should start off with the fact that I hate the dentist and actively avoided the dentist for 3 years. After searching for local dentists I found Dr.Sierra and called the office. After speaking to the receptionist, I was able to talk to Dr.Sierra and ask her if all the work needed could be completed in one day (as I was home on break from medical school and didn't want multiple trips to the dentist). Dr.Sierra agreed to block off her schedule and dedicated nearly an entire day to do the work necessary. This had never been the case with past dentists as they're usually in a rush and see multiple patients at a time. I knew I needed a root canal and to fill a couple cavities. Usually, a temporary crown is placed but it so happens that Dr.Sierra is one of the very few dentists who owns her own machine to make crowns and other materials (one of the other factors I decided to go to her). There was no need to wait a week for my crown to be made and instead it was made in 10 minutes. All cavities as well as my root canal and crown were done within 5 hours (her assistant was out in an emergency matter and she still managed to make excellent time)! The doctor was even kind enough to show me the crown being made within the machine. Throughout the entire visit she asked me if there was any pain and even provided me with noise cancelling headphones to block out the noise from the tools. That very day I was able to go to dinner with friends and didn't need to take any medication (Tylenol, Advil,etc.) for pain. It's been about two weeks out and to be very honest, I can't tell which is my crown from the other teeth. I've attached a photo I took right after my appointment because I was in complete disbelief she was able to get everything done without the slightest hint of discomfort. Needless to say, I've finally found a dentist that I feel comfortable with and look forward to going back. read more
