Decent little café in Little Italy Montreal will give you a very refreshing morning. It is small with some nice outdoor patio seats. Morning breakfast pizza gives me surprises. Not a big portion but beautifully baked. Sunny side up egg, sun dried tomato pieces and herbs. Crunchy crust and not oily. Must try. Coffee and pastries are fantastic. The freshly ground espresso gives a great start in the morning. Friendly people work behind the counter. This is a hidden gem for coffee and pastries in the Little Italy area. Recommended. Not too convenient to find parking close by. Beware of city giving out parking ticket in no time while enjoying your breakfast.

The place is a really nice spot to hang out in the summer. It has a really nice terrace and the sun hits just right. The food was great, I was really hungry when I arrived and the pizza helped a lot. Their espresso was also decent and would also work if you were searching for a coffee spot. The service was quick even during rush hours so that's a plus.

This restaurant reminded me of the food I had when I was over in Italy. Everything we had here was fantastic. From the pastries to the expresso to the amazing pizza. Yum.

Wow, once I decade I find an economically accesible eatery that is just extraordinary in quality, flavor, and texture, and San Gennaro is one of them! Extremely delicious and fresh pizza and dohghnuts, this is dangerous for one's health! The pizza was the 2nd best pizza I've had in my life (and I've been to Italy!). I especially liked the potato and smoked cheese slice. Crispy, airy, buttery crust. As for the doughnuts (bomboloni), I ordered both the custard and the pistachio . Both were scrumptious, the fillings so smooth. I was a little hesitant to order the pistachio because the color looked odd and I was unsure what the base might be, but it was wonderful. The pistachio filling tasted like a mix between pistachio, white chocolate, and custard. The custard filling was smooth, creamy, and vanilla-y -- not to sweet. Dough inside was so light and fluffy, yummy air pockets. One more thing, the people who work there seemed lovely. They were friendly, patient, seemed to genuinely enjoy their job, and were proud of their food. Now I just need to figure out an exercise plan so I can eat two pizza slices and two doughnuts everyday....

Excellent cafe for our Montreal weekends. We thought we hit it big when we found a great coffee ( hard to find) and chocolate croissants. Then we decided to try their pizza slice and wow the crunch and sauce were Excellent. Can't wait to go back on our next visit to Montreal

Great little pastry shop in Little Italy off of S Laurent. They have legit espresso station with delicious pastries. What looked awesome was pan pizza. They had three options. All three look appetizing. I'm going to have to come back. Nice find.

Throw the cornicello charm from your vespa keychain in any direction in Montreal's little Italy and you'll probably hit a pretty decent pizzeria. With its delicious thick, crispy yet fluffy crust, sweet sauces and very generous portions that fill you up with classic Roman style pies fits right in. Donuts : These well-fried but not greasy, very light, perfectly filled bombolones are reminiscent of your Nonna's best dessert recipes. Any choice of filling is the right choice.

Hello was invited to San Gennaro In the heart of Montréal with street parking that was hard to find. Due to Covid 19 they only let 6 people in at a time. They had Covid protocols in place. The pizza looked amazing and the deserts looked good to eat through the glass. When I got to counter I I formed them I was from Yelp elite. The counter lady turned to her colleague and said great another one is here in a condescending tone and look. She then asked me what do you want and when I asked for some advice she said coffee and this OK. I was going to also order two small pizza to go and some extra desserts. However I got turned off and said give me what every you want. She gave me a latter and some sort of Nutella croissant. The coffee was coffee with a bit of cream. The Nutella croisant was good but I had a bad taste in my mouth

I went here as part of an invitation to review their products. I got a free coffee and pastry. I decided to purchase an additional pastry for more range. - Oat milk cappuccino : good coffee flavour, and had my favourite oat milk brand (Oatly). 5/5 - Nutella croissant : fresh, and tastes as one would expect. 4/5 - Pistachio croissant: fresh and more original, this one is memorable. Highly recommend! 5/5 - Service: very good 5/5 - Location / indoors : good 4/5 - Price : seems a bit high 3/5 - Covid measures: mask and social distancing were good, but I didn't see a device to clean customer's hands. 4/5 (I'm assuming I missed it and that it wasn't very visible... but if it's not there, then 3/5) Considering I enjoyed the coffee, pistachio croissant and service, I expect to be back. Will alter review after further trying of their products!

A must-go place in Montreal if you are a fan of pizza, coffee and pastries. Visit this little coffee shop in the Little Italy for some treats! Once you're inside, you are greeted with some friendly, familty vibes by the people who work there : it's super pleasant. The coffee was great. The pastries were good, but my bombolone didn't have as much cream as I had hoped. Wish there was more of that delicious vanilla cream and pistachio filling. Overall, a great visit and I highly recommend everyone to come here if you want a quick snack and some nice coffee.

I came here from out of town for the pistachio and hazelnut bomboloni. They did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly too.

Held on to that box for dear life and licked it for 10 mins. That's how good this bombolone was

I was intrigued, and since I can always go for some carbs I decided to head in and check this place out. Unlike most bakeries I visited, Boulangerie Guillaume has a much more modern look, and is larger than a standard bakery. Walking in, I was immediately greeted by stairs which led up to the main production area. All of the bakes were arranged on the back-wall perimeter of the space separated from the pedestrians by a glass wall. The color scheme was mostly black to contrast the bright yellow of the bags and signage. The arrangement of the bakes, combined with the color scheme and modern aesthetics, resulted in a stunning, visually striking presentation. I wasn't too hungry, but I can always go for some sweets and their date square looked good. I went with that, along with a cappuccino. The square was delicious - the dates were high quality, and the crust underneath was moist while maintaining its integrity. The cappuccino was also good, a great complement to the bake. Service was efficient, and overall I had a great experience at Boulangerie Guillaume. I definitely want to return to explore more of their menu - I noticed they had some savory items so perhaps for some lunch. Definitely one of the best bakeries I visited in Montreal.

The server seated us without warning, and when we went to order, each item we requested had run out. No Cuban, no chicken melt, no several other delicious sounding things. She gave us 10 more minutes to look over the menu and come up with a plan B. Truthfully I wanted to jump ship, but couldn't because our drink orders were already in, and I was captain of this gastronomic journey. We'd set sail without proper forecasting! We settled on the baked egg and salmon bowl, neither what we were exactly craving. The baked egg was fairly tasty, a shakshouka-esque experience accompanied by rustic bread for hasty dipping. The salmon bowl was excellent, with delicious dressing, but the salmon portion was oh-so-meager. It made me wonder if the lunch rush had given the kitchen such a beating that they had split my salmon filet in half and served it to me and my neighboring table friend. Check out my photo and tell me if that portion seems right? The lore says Michael Jordan worked his rear off every game because he always told himself there was probably at least one kid in the stands who came there to see THE Michael Jordan. Well this kid in the stands caught Olive et Gourmando taking the night off. There is a risk for peril if you choose this restaurant, especially if you are in Montréal for a limited time!

The Long Version: So I had never heard of Rossetti before. They didn't exist when I was living in Montreal (the 2000s) and after I left, my husband (who was still my boyfriend at the beginning) and I would return often (at least a few times a year until 2019) and I'm pretty sure they weren't around then. We took a few years hiatus from visiting Montreal and then when we returned in 2024, boom, Rossetti had 4 different locations in the downtown core! What's their origin story? I have no idea. Their website has no "About Us" section. All I know is they opened sometime between 2020 and 2024, lol. I tried their caramel eclair ($5.50). The caramel icing was really tasty, but I found the choux pastry and the custard filling a bit dry. They have cannoli, amaretti, financiers, croissants and tarts. They also have sandwiches and pizza. I was disappointed that they didn't have sfogliatella, my favourite Italian pastry. Oh, they also have coffees and teas. The interior is nice with seating to dine in. Service was neutral. I may return to try another item. Maybe at one of their other locations. Review #16 (2025)

While in Miami last year, my husband, mother-in-law and I became big fans of the Rosetta on lower Collins Ave and then once they opened the one by Lincoln Center in NYC, we began to visit that one often since it's walking distance. After climbing to the Kondiaronk Belvedere on Mont Royal, we decided we needed sustenance on our way back down and we spied Rosetti as we were walking back to our hotel. Since it looked very similar to Rosetta, we decided to stop in and grab a bite. The sandwiches and pastries were on full display and we knew we made a good choice. I had a Pizza Margherita which was huge...I could have shared it. I also had a caramel tart for a sweet treat afterwards. Others in the group had sandwiches and other sweets which they all enjoyed. There are some stools at a counter downstairs and a little more seating upstairs with a few low tables along with some high tops and counters. The ladies who worked there were very nice. We enjoyed our food and think it's a great place for a quick bite that's a bit elevated from traditional fast food.
