These guys showed up on time with the proper equipment and a capable team. They trimmed my 40 foot palms in no time and disposed of all of the waste. They also used a drone and installed a drip system at the top my palms in order to treat them for the palm weevil. They finished by hanging the lights on the trees. There are a lot of fakes out there. People that claim they can trim trees. Many many are not who they say they are and put you as a homeowner at risk. These guys are not that. Their company has two separate specialties - tree care with Pedro and Landscaping with Angel. I had to engage with both and both services were excellent. I initially found them on yelp bc our large tree in the back shed all of its leaves suddenly and we had just bought the house last summer and wanted to make sure this was normal. Pedro does have a consultation fee (cheaper than others) to come to your location but to save me the fee, had me send photos to him to view first. He was able to determine my type of tree from the leaves and instead of pushing for him to come, comforted me that this was normal and that if in a couple weeks the leaves didn't grow back, we would then schedule him to come. Since he helped me out, I decided to use them again to do major cleaning of our front, side, and back yard. Lots of weeds to remove and dispose of! Angel made an appointment to view my property for the day after I texted him, gave me a quote the day after his visit, and did the job the day after he gave me the quote. I'm sure that's not always possible but they do get you in if they can! The landscaping was completed by Angel and one other person. English is not his first language but he communicates just fine (text and in person) and understood what we wanted. The job was very well done and quick. Some other review mentioned that they didn't take a lot of photos but regardless quoted us very competitively and fairly, and showed up with all the right tools to get the job done. I contracted with Pedro at Angel's Landscaping in El Cajon last summer (2016) to have him cut & remove some pepper trees. The quoted price of $350 was paid on the date of service & I was given a written guarantee that he would recheck for & cut any new growth at 30 days, 60 days & 6 months. New growth appeared after several months so I called to ask that he fulfill his guarantee, return & remove what had grown back. It has now been well over 6 months, I have called him numerous times & received some responses that he had been busy but he would take care of it within a week. This has happened at least 3 times & not once has he gone back to finish the job as per the guarantee. I left a message a week ago giving him an ultimatum to either do the work required or I would contact the BBB to file a complaint. I never heard from him. I had a very tall Mexican fan palm tree that had been neglected for years. I wanted to save it rather than cut it down so I contacted Pedro. His team really had to work hard since the tree had been left uncut for so many years. After trimming off 40+ feet or dead palm fronds they skinned the trunk clean. They then cleaned up and hauled off the huge pile of dead palm fronds. (They even went up on my roof to clean off the leaf litter that had blown up there as they worked.) It was a massive job so it was not cheap but they saved a very old messy tree and turned it into a beautiful healthy one. I liked their work so much that I had them come back the next week and trim the overgrown Mediterranean Fan Palms on the other side of the front yard. They did a great job on those, too.
