Their company has two separate specialties - tree care with Pedro and Landscaping with Angel. I had to engage with both and both services were excellent. I initially found them on yelp bc our large tree in the back shed all of its leaves suddenly and we had just bought the house last summer and wanted to make sure this was normal. Pedro does have a consultation fee (cheaper than others) to come to your location but to save me the fee, had me send photos to him to view first. He was able to determine my type of tree from the leaves and instead of pushing for him to come, comforted me that this was normal and that if in a couple weeks the leaves didn't grow back, we would then schedule him to come. Since he helped me out, I decided to use them again to do major cleaning of our front, side, and back yard. Lots of weeds to remove and dispose of! Angel made an appointment to view my property for the day after I texted him, gave me a quote the day after his visit, and did the job the day after he gave me the quote. I'm sure that's not always possible but they do get you in if they can! The landscaping was completed by Angel and one other person. English is not his first language but he communicates just fine (text and in person) and understood what we wanted. The job was very well done and quick. Some other review mentioned that they didn't take a lot of photos but regardless quoted us very competitively and fairly, and showed up with all the right tools to get the job done. A local small business who does a great, honest job. We will be using them for the upkeep of our property going forward! read more

I called to ask for services on a mealybug infestation I have on a really nice hibiscus plant. He told me it was a manageable project and gave me really helpful advice without charge. This kind of service is hard to come by these days and he could have easily charged me to come out and tell me the same thing. Thank you and I'll definitely use them again if I need help. read more

These guys showed up on time with the proper equipment and a capable team. They trimmed my 40 foot palms in no time and disposed of all of the waste. They also used a drone and installed a drip system at the top my palms in order to treat them for the palm weevil. They finished by hanging the lights on the trees. There are a lot of fakes out there. People that claim they can trim trees. Many many are not who they say they are and put you as a homeowner at risk. These guys are not that. These guys are legitimate tree guys that will make you a happy client. I highly recommend them! read more

I needed two palm trees trimmed from the front of my house. Changing up the landscaping and the trees have been a nuisance to my cars in the driveway for a very long time now. I was able to get a quote very quickly and the pricing was fair. I spoke with Pedro and he answered my questions promptly. He actually saved me money by asking me simple questions about the scope of my project. A date was set to come out the very next morning after settling on a quote. His crew was very professional and they got the job done quickly and left no mess behind. I got a follow up phone call from Pedro to make sure everything had gone smoothly. I always appreciate good customer service and I feel like this team nailed it. I saved money by leaving the stumps. I realized the new wall that will be built around the dirt will be higher than the stumps. I'm filling it in with dirt and the stumps will be covered. The rest of the plants going in will fit around the stumps just fine. No one else offered me this solution and I saved $100. read more

I cannot thank Pedro and his team for such a professional job. I contacted him and other companies via Yelp. Pedro really impressed me when he came out during the estimate. We discussed wrapping poles under our patio that might otherwise get damaged by branches scratching them and other little things that I would not have thought about. His quote was the best of all the companies that I received estimates from. The day of the work, Pedro's team came out and despite it being 110 degrees in San Diego that day, did an amazing job. They worked hard all day and did a great job of clean up. A few days later, Pedro came back to remove the stump and did an equally good job! We are very pleased with the work of Pedro and his team. I'm proud to recommend them to all of my friends. Our backyard looks so spacious now!!! read more

Had a tree in our back yard partially taken down in a storm. The crew came out and quickly had the tree down, chipped up and the stump ground in just under two hours. Everything they moved was put back in place exactly as it was when they arrived. Angel's Tree Service does great work. Highly recommended. read more

Hire Him! Outstanding work and Pedro makes sure the job is done to your satisfaction. I will be a returning client!

I contracted with Pedro at Angel's Landscaping in El Cajon last summer (2016) to have him cut & remove some pepper trees. The quoted price of $350 was paid on the date of service & I was given a written guarantee that he would recheck for & cut any new growth at 30 days, 60 days & 6 months. New growth appeared after several months so I called to ask that he fulfill his guarantee, return & remove what had grown back. It has now been well over 6 months, I have called him numerous times & received some responses that he had been busy but he would take care of it within a week. This has happened at least 3 times & not once has he gone back to finish the job as per the guarantee. I left a message a week ago giving him an ultimatum to either do the work required or I would contact the BBB to file a complaint. I never heard from him. If I could rate this business a zero I would. read more

Excellent service for a competitive price. Pedro is a great guy. He made a visit for a free estimate and it was obvious that he knew his business and his trees. He spent about 20 minutes inspecting the trees, discussing it with me, and made several recommendations based on our specific situation. When it came time to do the job he was available with a short lead time, the crew showed up, were professional, used all their personal protective safety equipment, finished the job faster than I had expected, and they left the yard clean and tidy. Highly recommend if you need landscape advice, tree trimming, or complete tree removal. read more

Pedro & his team did an amazing job on my palm tree! They were friendly, quick, and the price was very affordable! I saw numerous posts on Nextdoor Santee and thought I would give him a try. Pedro did not disappoint. Pedro came out promptly to bid the job at a very fair price. He removed our tall palm and ground the stump along with several other stumps left by the previous homeowner and hauled away all of the debris. The yard looks much better and I expect that the rats that eat the berries will move on as well. Thanks Pedro, Nice job! I will definitely refer you. read more

"WE DON'T DO TREES" Not sure about quality of their work but generally the way they treat clients is below any level. First I called - some lady was not about to take notes so she promised to call me in 10min. I called 1hr later as nobody cared to call me back. I explained that I have front yard lawn to change, generally frontyard and backyard project and I have some trees to take care. Ok, she will schedule appointment for next day and she is gong to call me back in 1hr to confirm. Next day I called them again - sorry, we can not service you, WE DON'T DO TREES. ?!?!?!? Rally? First of all you ignored your potential client on every aspect and than you provide some statement like this. No way! Even if you want to take care of my overgrowing huge backyard - this business will be given to somebody else. read more

Many thanks to Pedro Berry for doing a great job cleaning up two large queen palms and removing a large fan palm from my back yard. We selected Angels Landscaping after interviewing 5 tree care services. They didn't come in with the lowest bid price but were close to it. We did have a definite sense of honesty from these guys. Pedro, Angel and their team came in and did a bang up job. Removed 3 trees, cleaned out a Coastal Oak that hadn't seen a saw in 20 years, manicured our Queen and Mediterranean Palms then removed all the cuttings. All done in a timely and professional manner. Couldn't be happier. If you are in need of tree service call Angels Landscaping. You'll be glad you did. read more

Live in eastcounty in a private community with 7 houses. I needed 3 queen palms cut-down & stumps ground, Turns out I was able to coordinate additional tree work at 5 other houses within the community along with trimming 8 palms & having to cut-down one of those super tall palms & within the common area due to Pedro felt the trunk was compromised & unsafe... Needless to say Pedro & his crew did everything as planned & zero complaints from anyone within the community! He was patient with me on my end while I was collecting funds within the community & overall was a pleasure to deal with. I researched & received 6 other bids & Pedro came-in well below all others & quality of his services did not suffer due to paying less.. Its not always, " you get what you pay for" Even got a quote from the highest rated & most reviewed trimmer on yelp & prices were ridiculous... Will use Pedro again, & recommend Pedro & Angels Tree Care to anyone looking for tree work! read more

I have been doing business with this company for several years, they are reliable, affordable and are incredibly talented with their work. I recently had to cut down my favorite tree and Pedro handled it with such class and sensitivity. They performed the work over several days while I was away at work and did an outstanding job. They even kept several pieces of the tree that they thought I would enjoy or could use to create other items. Pedro and his crew proved to be so valuable and I highly recommend them! read more

I had a very tall Mexican fan palm tree that had been neglected for years. I wanted to save it rather than cut it down so I contacted Pedro. His team really had to work hard since the tree had been left uncut for so many years. After trimming off 40+ feet or dead palm fronds they skinned the trunk clean. They then cleaned up and hauled off the huge pile of dead palm fronds. (They even went up on my roof to clean off the leaf litter that had blown up there as they worked.) It was a massive job so it was not cheap but they saved a very old messy tree and turned it into a beautiful healthy one. I liked their work so much that I had them come back the next week and trim the overgrown Mediterranean Fan Palms on the other side of the front yard. They did a great job on those, too. I will definitely have them come back to do the maintenance on the trees now that they a beautiful again! read more
