I'm SO torn in leaving this review! San Diego Granite have super nice people and, in the end, did a quality job. Angel and Joe especially were very knowledgeable. However... this company has major communication and time management issues. My job got pushed 3 weeks back and I wasn't notified. I called to confirm my date 2 days before they were supposed to start and was told I'd been rescheduled. When the job started, an 8-10am window for the start time became 12:45pm without notification. The next day, 5 hours late to start and again, I called to find out what was happening. At the finish of the job I asked Shelby if I could have a couple pieces of the leftover countertop so I could make a cutting board. She said SD Granite owned my remnants and I could buy them for $150.00. Maybe that's normal, IDK? read more

San Diego Granite needs to fix multiple issues. * Multiple areas are not cut straight. Doesn't even seem like they measured. * You can see the terrible joints which stick out like a sore thumb and look like they have been cut with a hand saw. * They have cut the counters short in a ton of places too. * circular marks are on our counters that do not come off ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. read more

The crew who installed our countertop was awesome. Seamless installation with the sink. Unfortunately the measurements were not square with our wall so when we had someone come out to install our oven, the oven wouldn't fit. I requested that someone come out to fix the error so that I could use our oven for Christmas (our licensed contractor friend mentioned that the fix should take no more than an hour and even outlined where they will need to cut - just 1/4") but was told that they wouldn't have anyone available to come back for another couple weeks. After months of living without appliances during our kitchen remodel, I'm bummed to say the least at their lack of urgency to right their wrong. This was an error/hiccup that cost us the ability to use our kitchen for Christmas. read more

I am so in love with my counters! They came out great. However, I would like to add the hiccups. San Diego Granite was contracted through Lowe's. Once I started the process I was told I would be contacted in the next 2 days for them to come out and measure. I never got a call. I ended up having to call Lowe's just to get a status. A few days later I received the call. I scheduled a time. When they booked my appointment they did it for two different times. I was told 10-12 and the guy doing the measuring was told 9-11. So he arrived at 9. I wasn't home, but close enough I got there in 5 minutes to meet him. Next I went back to Lowe's and finished up my paperwork. At that time I had changed the edging I wanted since Lowe's was running a promotion for free edging. The one I originally picked was not an option. I'm all about saving money. San Diego Granite contacted me a few days later to schedule my demo and install same day. I was told to make sure water was turned off to the sink since they were replacing that as well. The guys showed up and told me that it's not just my water that needs to be turned off, but I need to have the plumbing removed. I was also informed at that time that my stove needed to be disconnected and removed as well. He said this is common thing that customers are giving the wrong information when it comes to what is expected. The next day I received my call to reschedule. On the next reschedule day everything went off without a hitch. Jose Pena and his team arrived on time and ready to go. They were amazing. Demo and install went smooth. The seams are great and you can't even see them. Only issue I had was the counters had the edging that I originally picked not the one free one. I ended up keeping the counters bc I do like it, but I did have my mind set on the other edging. Other than that it was good. Thank you Jose and your team. You were wonderful. read more

SDGranite arrived on time and masked, performed the demo of the old countertops with no collateral damage to the adjacent mirrors, seamlessly installed the new countertops in the two bathrooms, and hung the under mount sinks with no problem. Don't know where to start. After initial payment through Lowes took them two weeks to come out to remove old countertops and measure for new ones. I actually had to call to schedule the appointment. Two guys who removed old countertops were in such rush and did a very poor job installing the plywood boards on which new countertops will be placed. At the time of measurement we were told about 10 days untill install of new ones. 10 days later I called to check and was told that the next available install would be in 10 days. Day before that install date they call to tell me that it is going to postpone the installation for at least a week because their saw broke at the shop. BROKEN SAW that is the excuse. I called them 2 days prior to that to confirm installation. We will be without kitchen for at least a month. My questions to the owner is; Why do you remove people countertops a month before you are ready to cut new ones? Why even 10 days before? Why do your employees don't call back when they promise to do so? My advice for anyone reading this is to stay away from this highly unprofessional company. Stay away from Lowes too. Can't believe Lowes is doing business with them. read more

So weird. They did our entire kitchen remodel and a butlers pantry a few years ago and I just went there asking to order countertops to remodel two bathrooms. 1st someone came out and said they were not doing remnants. I said...i haven't even talked to someone and have never mentioned a remnant, i'm a previous customer who wants to order countertops for two bathrooms. I was handed a list of their suppliers and told to go see them to pick out the product and they will call them to schedule the work. I said I'm going to get the same product you've already installed at my house. He circled the supplier nearest to here and handed the list back to me. Never asked my name to look up the previous job...i'm a landscape architect standing there with all my measurements. Very odd. San Diego Granite has a 'My way or the Highway' attitude. After being promised several times by our general contractor that San Diego Granite could install a rather modest slab in or kitchen remodel without seams running all over the place they produced a template that had exactly that - six separate pieces on our 12 X 12 kitchen. When we went to them with new ideas to lower the seam count they simply would not even talk to us. We then did what Trump would do "Your Fired".
