this is mine and my daughter's second time having samurai (preferably as we know; benihana) in miami. we are from california. honestly, the food quality and service seems to meet the same standards as california. great food, great dining experience. our chef and waiter were so kind, generous and caring. very respectful people. i forget their names, but luckily, this isn't a place you get to pick and choose who may service you! it's ALWAYS gonna be noisy here, so, if you're looking for less noisy, i'd recommend take out or request a private dining experience. i am not sure if they offer it at this location, but they definitely should. anyway, i ordered the new york steak and spicy chicken for the first time, it was good, same quality as california's meat/poultry. i'm not a huge fan of the new york steak, but i wasn't trying to overspend. my daughter barley touched her food but i could tell she enjoyed it and especially the onion soup. it is her favorite. second time was take out, i was not able to order the new blood orange margarita to go since i made my order over the phone and the man taking my order said he was unable to add it to my to go order since it is not in the system to be added. i was upset and i mentioned to him that i can see it on online ordering and asked if he could somehow add it but he said he couldn't. the phone order was made around 9:19PM and i headed that way after placing it but i was worried they were gonna deny the item to order due to last call on alcohol/food is at 9:30PM. my ETA was 9:30PM. luckily we went on father's day so it might've been the only reason why i was still able to order the drink. the bartender was pretty rude when i mistakenly asked him for a "grapefruit margarita". it is a new drink so i didn't even remember the name when i tried to order it in person, he told me they do not have that here and handed me the cocktail menu. i refused to look at the menu and told him it's a new beverage, let me double check the drink online again and as i started to type, he asked me "blood orange margarita?" and i said yes! that drink. i would like that one. he then rudely reminded me in a mocking manner "it's blood orange margarita, not grapefruit margarita". as if i didn't realize that by then? it was really sour of him to treat me that way. i was caught by surprise. he could've just kindly responded "coming right up!" or "sure". his comment was extremely unnecessary, unprofessional and unreasonable. for food i ordered the new ribeye and spicy chicken dinner specialty. this was fantastic! except the fact that they did NOT make my chicken spicy. it was plain chicken, and i had requested the spicy one. luckily i asked for a spicy teriyaki to go. came in clutch! they really hooked it up with the ginger and yum sauce. i LOVE both! they provided utensils (sometimes they can forget) so this was also pleasant. we had the new mount fuji chocolate cake and it was really good. i feel like it had to much chocolate ganache, but i added raspberries so it balanced out well. baby had the new kids chicken tempura plate. she, of course, killed her mushroom onion soup! i can't wait to come back and dine in. read more

My wife and I decided to take her cousin here for lunch to celebrate her birthday. We've been here before for hibachi but today we decided to try the sushi. It was fantastic. We each began with a soup ( 2 of us had the onion soup and one had the miso). The onion soups had a nice broth and flavor. My wife really enjoyed her miso soup as well. We split 3 rolls between us (dragon roll, volcano roll and crunchy shrimp roll). We loved them all but the crunchy shrimp roll was the clear cut, unanimous winner! The only complaint we had was that the onion soups came out cold. We did get there close to opening and once they warmed it up, they were great. Overall it was an enjoyable experience and I'm sure we'll be back again. Problem will be deciding between the delicious hibachi or fantastic sushi! read more

The best hibachi ever! We've tried every hibachi table in miami ! This one is the best the sauce , the rice, the chefs! I love it highly recommended read more

Went in for a Saturday lunch with my family and we have always enjoyed coming to samurai ! We arrived at 1 and was told a 45 minute wait and honestly only ended up waiting 15 minutes. On a Saturday afternoon that almost rarely happens. The customer service is great and the hibachi is good. It's always a fun time to eat and the fried rice always hits. I had the hibachi chicken and shrimp with the fried rice. We also had a drink called the white peach sake sangria and it's a good summer drink in my opinion. It's a great place to enjoy with the family. The chefs perform a good entertainment while cooking some delicious food and have good drinks. Perfect for kids as well because they also give the kids chef hats which is their menu. read more

I visited for the first time last week to celebrate my best-friend's birthday. The food was delicious. Our chef was absolutely amazing. He seasoned the food to perfection and put on quite a show for us. I will definitely be back hungry for more. read more

I would give this 0 starts if I could . We were told 2 hours MAXIMUM wait time . I had to speak to the hostess multiple time to see when we will be seated and kept saying few more minutes to be seated . We finally get seated and still another hour for the chef to come. This is ridiculous! We came for a birthday and it ruined my friends birthday experience. Alex the sever is trying his best to make us feel comfortable as possible , he's the only best one here . Please save your time and go somewhere else! read more

If you have ever been to Samurai, you know it's all about that PINK SAUCE. That pink sauces goes good on everything! Anytime you try to come after 8 pm, be prepared to wait at least 30 min, because there is always a line. The food is made in front of you so you know its fresh and yummy! However you can also sit at normal tables but they don't serve the exact same food. The food being served from like a pot. Which gives it a weird taste. I definitely do not recommend you to eat at the tables, you should eat at the hibachi table, where you can see the food being made. But it definitely does take longer there. The prices are moderate and if its your birthday and you sign up before you get a free meal with a purchase of a meal (who goes alone anyways?) ((this only works for Dinner) If you cant make it during the night time for dinner or don't feel like waiting that long. You should definitely go during lunch as they have lunch specials which is like half off. read more

My daughters birthday, she chose Samurai, it's been a while since I've been here, 2 yrs or so. Got the chateaubriand OMG, I swear I didn't need to hardly chew it's was butter soft, succulent, deliciously seared,. I must give credit to Jayme our chef, not only was he a good cook but also quite entertaining. Service a 10, I forget why it's been so long? Join the on line club and use your $30 bday gift, seriously it's ridiculously amazing, oh free valet, hello??? I'm in heaven!!! read more

We've been coming to Samurai when it was not owned by Benihana and can't lie, we loved it more then. It's been through a lot of changes (negatives-menu, ingredients, servers and PRICES \ positives-cosmetics). Food is still yummy but it became a chain. But who doesn't love Benihana anyways! Still friendly staff, just more unified. Servers and cooks before had more fun. Complimentary parking available but the lot is limited and you will get towed if you park in the nearby lots. Limited bar seating and get ready to wait! Usually, ever day after 6:30, your waiting. Graduation season is busier. read more

Horrible experience!! my daughter decided to come to this place for her birthday and I REGRETTED. Starting with the location, the sign is pretty much invisible at night and the entrance!! Good luck if you miss it because you gonna be driving around. Once you make it better luck with the parking "Valet Only" and if you park on the adjacent lot your car gets towed. Because of all these obstacles on an empty stomach I couldn't appreciate the food but tasted ok; I really don't understand why a restaurant so popular can not fix these simple issues and make this place an enjoyable experience. read more

If I can rate this no stars I would! I had came with high hopes but some Hispanic SERVER clearly didn't know what she was talking about. I order my husband food I clearly stated that he only WANTS white rice and chicken and steak. Then the chef that was cooking our food ask my husband if he wanted teriyaki sauce on his steak and my husband clearly SAID NO he still Put it on at this point my husband didn't eat his FOOD NOT ONE PIECE! NUMBER ONE HE WAS MAD BECAUSE THE SERVER MISS UP HIS ORDER THEN THE CHEF then my husband was asking if she can take off what he order because he didn't eat his food like everything was on the plate untouched! She said no because she said that's the way we ordered it I clearly didn't I specify that I only wanted a white rice it was the servers fault the service was just horrible just don't eat here it's over hype! read more

I am a fan favorite of Samurai but I am currently sitting at a back table by the take out orders and am hearing the cleaning staffs music while I am trying to enjoy a family dinner. To be specific Mo Bamba was just played followed by much more rap for the rest of the evening. I expect much more from my local samurai. Management please look into this, my table was not the only one turned off by this. read more

This place sucks. There is absolutely NO parking at all. The nearby parking lots state specifically that you cannot park there for samurai because we learned tonight that the towing company has a deal with samurai and their employees will walk out there and take pictures of your vehicle and you walking up and when you leave your vehicle will be gone. Stupendous job samurai I will ensure that you will NEVER be serving me, my family or anyone I know. read more

Samurai Samurai Samurai. The food is delicious, the show the chef puts on is entertaining, the fried rice is amazing, the shrimp sauce and garlic butter is to die for. The worst part is the wait. I got there and had a 45 minute wait, it was miserable with not enough seats and the smell of cooking making it's way to your nose. You get full very fast, with a soup appetizer, shrimp, veggies, rice and then your choice of meat. But it's so so so good. Tables sit 8 people, you're lucky to fill a whole table with friends, or have a table with friendly people, but hey, this is Miami. And get on the Chef's Table, they'll send you a $30 gift certificate to use during your birthday month! read more

SLOW SLOW SLOW SERVICE AND WAIT TIME. AHHHHMAZING HIBACHI. I know people normally come here for the hibachi experience, but the sushi is a must. I recommend the crunchy roll with cream cheese. Its a good idea to order it while you wait, because the wait time is usually very long. Even after you get a table, you still have to wait for the chef. The kids love it, and I love eating their left overs the next day! Samurai is one of those places where the leftovers taste just as good the very next day. read more

Tonight, Samurai was great. Jayme, the chef, was very entertaining and the food was delicious. What made today's review a 5 star versus a 4 was the fact that This time we had a birthday coupon to use, (valued up to $30 off a dinner meal), which made the meal extremely affordable and reasonable for two people. For dinner, we both had the Samurai Delight - chicken and shrimp, with mushrooms, vegetables, shrimp appetizer, salad with ginger dressing, onion soup, fried rice, and ice cream dessert. Whew! That was a tremendous amount of food, as always. The employees are always friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We tend to visit Samurai early in the evening during the week to avoid having a long wait. For those nights that we are craving the Samurai shrimp sauce but don't want the price or wait of a yummy meal, we will pick-up a quart of the sauce to cook the stirfry ourselves at home - it is not the same as someone else cooking and cleaning up after the meal but it certainly is a good tease! read more

The food is average. I usually get the delight with fried rice. Portions could be larger. However, I visit often for the drinks. This place is usually packed with people for lunch and dinner. My favorite spot used to be the bar area. However, it isn't allowed anymore because of COVID. read more

Samurai has my heart in all levels of food happiness! From their sushi, to their spicy fried rice, to there drinks, I mean, you cannot go wrong! This place is always packed! Does not take reservations but if you are a regular (like me) then you can just sit in the dinning service area by the bar and grab a quick lunch or dinner. Usually the wait, anytime of the week at night or weekend is about 1hr-1.5 hrs, even more for bigger parties. Keep in mind that if your party is bigger than 8, you will be separated since the hibachi tables only seat 8. Service is always good! You have to thank the chefs for making the experience so delightful. My daughter loves coming here and always asks the chefs to make her a mickey with the fried rice. Definitely good place for the entire family. Overall, if you want guaranteed good food, stop by! read more

It was ok..Your typical hibachi restaurant, long wait, lots of food, chef does tricks, and then you leave with your clothes smelling for days. Came with a group of friends during the 3day weekend and i guess we werent the only ones who thought of coming here. They told us it was a 1.5hr wait, lots of parties left cuz of the wait so we ended up waiting 45 minutes. Our waiter took forever because the table next to us was arguing with him over a coupon forever. Finally chef came, took our order, did his tricks and left. Food was good. read more

Food is great. Especially the Red Plum Sake Sangria! Service can be better especially from the short Mexican looking hostess that acts like she has an attitude and not happy to be at work. The parking is horrible!!! The new renovations are nice though. read more

Honestly, I just don't know anyone that doesn't like Samurai. I love going for celebrations and friends because it's fun with a group. The chefs play with you too with the food and super interactive with us. It's also a good place to go with couples but its not romantic or one on one if thats what your looking for. I always get the Filet and it's super soft. GREAT quality of meat and seafood especially for the price. All dinner entrees come with soup, salad, 3-4 shrimps, rice, veggies, and your choice of meat. I think I pay like $23 for the Filet. My boyfriend gets the scallops with his and they're super good. Really buttery and delicious. You can't go wrong with Samurai. You leave STUFFED so get ready for left overs. Also, can't forget the yum yum sauce. Just do it! It's pink sauce but the best yum yum sauce you'll taste. So be ready to pour it ALL over your food! Literally. read more

Almost late evening and needed a place to eat with the family on a Friday night. Asian was the choice and Samurai was basically one of the only places open late so I chose this place. Food was good and not filling at all as I ate as every part of the course of the meal was served. Service was pretty good as well as the cook as well as our server was attentive to our needs. I give this place 3 1/2 stars. Reason being as this place, like every other hibachi place I have been to, are all the same and fail to WOW me. Menu is pretty much the same as well as the food and flavors. Nothing unique about it. Nonetheless it is a good place to bring family and enjoy the show that the chefs put on. read more

Been to Samurai a thousand times before so I know what to expect each time. Crazy parking, even crazier wait time to be seated, which is why I make an effort to get here before 5pm when I feel like going. On this particular day, I'm glad I arrived early because the wait for a table was only 45 minutes, and the food was extremely delicious! Nolan, our chef, was amazing, and cooked everything just right. Alan, our server, made sure our drinks were refilled without us even having to ask, and was friendly and courteous. I was in and out in about 2 hours, which is pretty quick! read more

Great experience every time I come. My only complaint is the wait time. I waited two hours one day for a table of 5 and it was such a drag. Parking was horrible at one point but now they valet your car. Every chef that I've had always put on an amazing show! Every waitress was always attentive and the food has always been amazing. Also the whole sitting with strangers does throw me off every time. The last I went me and some friends sat with a couple with bad children. #awkward listening to the husband threaten them every 5 mins. read more

This is one of my favorite spots for Teppanyaki. I've been coming here for ages and have seen many changes along the way. We typically go for lunch since it's a great value. Even dinner is well priced except for the fact that you pay extra for fried rice. It's included in the lunch price though. Most chefs are great, some more engaging than others. But I can't really blame them, since most times folks are on their phones while the chefs are cooking and doing their "show". All in all, we are rarely disappointed. And we return time & time again, so we obviously enjoy it. Not thrilled with the valet. The other day they were out there at lunch time. If we didn't valet, we had to park in the back of the restaurant. Not cool. read more

Updated. I had a really great lunch at Samurai today. Pretty much anything you order from hibachi is delicious, but my personal favorites are the Hibachi Scallops and the Seafood Combination. I also want to give Panayotis a shout out for being a very accommodating and cheerful manager. He checked up on us and made sure we had an exceptional experience. We will definitely come back! Thank you, Panos! read more

Also operating as RA Sushi I ordered pickup takeout tonight through Postmates. The food was ok - decent portion of Salmon sashimi and hamachi sashimi with a seaweed salad and a California Roll for my wife. I live only 5 minutes away so waited at home as app said 25 mins. The app then advised that the order was ready and I was already there to pickup. Well after more than another 25 minutes of waiting tensions were high as the waiting area was crowded. Some people were not wearing masks and there was no manager outside to organize the area, just 2-3 ladies working hard to bring out the food and constantly going in and out of the restaurant calling names of orders ready. So overall the experience was poor. The food no better or worse than other sushi I've had for 40 years. I will not go back. read more

I enjoy the food every time. One thing I noticed negative was that the person that was cooking for us his white coat was more of a grey coat cause of how dirty it was. It just made a bad impression fortunately he was nice. I order the hibachi shrimps, lobster, and scallops along with the chicken fried rice. Soooo delicious if you haven't tried it do so it's worth the $40. Quick tip: if you like your lobster more buttery request the cook to cook it with their garlic butter (you'll thank me). Too bad the restaurant doesn't accept reservations, it's a nice place to go for special birthday, anniversary or just because. read more

I order the samurai family meal steak and shrimp for 6 and all of the steak was burnt. When I contacted the restaurant I was told I would have to drive all the way back for them to fix the order instead of offering me a credit or gift card to return at a later time. We've been coming here for years. Needless to say have to think of coming back. Our cook Ringo (like the Beatles) table was full party of 6 plus us 2 (total 8) we sat at the the end of the table. Long story shot we kept getting the leftovers meaning he didn't know how to Proportion the food. He ran out of rice, stake, shrimp, and mushrooms by the time he got to us. 15 min later he called the waiter to get us more food. By this time we were very upset and didn't want to eat. Called the manager waited 10 min till he came out. With in 5 min the waiter said we had to pay... PAY FOR WHAT!!' We didn't eat. Only soup and salad. Manager came out. I told him I was highly upset and wasn't going to pay. Manager apologized and we left. read more

I've been working in another restaurants and only at samurai I saw is well organized and maintain. They provide daily cleaned aprons to all chef's. All utensils are very much sanitize, they have a huge dishwasher machine for a bunch of dirty glasses, plates, spoons and etc. THIS RESTAURANT IS ABSOLUTELY SO MUCH BUSY DURING LUNCH AND DINNER SPECIALLY WEEKENDS. And every groups of the customers such as families, friends and more has different order of foods and drinks which really needed time to transact to the computer all their orders so the next chefs available can be prepared all the different types of orders (different ingredients, quantity of cooked Rice and different proteins etc.). We have to understand that this restaurant is not a fast food chain or a buffet. When you order some sushi rolls that's the moment they will prepare for you. And sometimes sushi chef's has plenty of different tickets orders before yours or me, or to others, server, bartender and chef's need also time to prepare too all your orders. Patience is a virtue. One of the best part in this restaurant is they will cook your food right in front of you so you can see how they Cook it and you can request if you want well-done etc. read more
