Hibachi table

The food is not all that I don't think the food is evenly distributed to everyone the food is chopped up chopped chop chop chop chop a lot presentation OK service OK the ambience smoky but clean

Samurai is truly a fun, unique, and delicious Hibachi experience. My son absolutely loved how fun the chef was and the way he cooked the food in front of us. We had a great time watching it and the food was absolutely delicious! I'd highly recommend the filet mignon and the scallops. The chicken fried rice that comes with it as well as the onion soup is delicious. Make sure to bring your ID as they literally ask everyone no matter how old you look. And there's on valet parking!

Samurai is a fun place to come have lunch/dinner with friends. You get great food and a show! Our chef, a skilled and charismatic performer, made the meal a memorable experience. He skillfully sliced, diced, and flipped the ingredients with precision while entertaining us with his tricks. I ordered the tuna steak, and it did not disappoint. Also, you can't order your food without their rice! The fried rice was the perfect complement. The rice and their shrimp sauce is a must have combination. I can have a whole tub of that sauce. Service was friendly and attentive, with our server ensuring our glasses were always full and checking in on us throughout the meal. Despite the lively atmosphere, it didn't feel rushed, and we were able to enjoy our meal at a comfortable pace. One thing though, I wish they took reservations so be ready to wait a while to be seated.

The food at Samurai is absolutely delicious. If you sit at a hibachi table, you're in for both a meal and a show as the chefs cook right in front of you. I had the chicken fried rice with teriyaki chicken, which was incredibly juicy and packed with flavor. Paired with their signature shrimp sauce, it takes the dish to another level. I can't imagine anyone not loving this place. Keep in mind though it can be pretty pricey, but the service is excellent. If you have a shellfish allergy like I do, they'll cook your food first to avoid cross-contamination. However, keep in mind that as everything cooks, the smoke can get pretty intense. If your allergies are sensitive to smell, you might want to reconsider dining in.

Hiiii! So let's do a math problem! Which of the following equations is equal: 7:30=7:30 or 7:30=8:30. The first one is correct, but not here! This poor woman was waiting there for 30 minutes when I got there. The food is like ok. The Ambiance is fine. BUT THE SERVICE?? Like this woman whom shall not be named just gave me a hand while "spilling tea" to her little bestie. So before you come here don't worry about showing up on time because they will be later than you.

Disrespectful and Disappointing Birthday Dinner at Samurai Miami What should've been a special birthday dinner turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience. I ordered the Trio with filet mignon, and my wife had the Emperor's Delight. Despite our specific (and expensive) orders, the hibachi chef gave away portions of our meat including shrimp and filet to other guests at the table who hadn't ordered them. The food itself was bland, and the chef showed no enthusiasm or personality, which completely killed the hibachi experience. He also forgot several items we ordered. For the premium prices they charge, I expected far better quality, professionalism, and respect for what we paid for. This was hands down one of the worst hibachi dinners we've had especially disheartening on a night that was meant to be a celebration.

We had a celebration planned and the guest of honor choose Samurai. The seating area is quite vast as well and we'll spread out. I've been coming here for years and it's never disappointed. Although the prices have gone up this spot is worth it with the great level of service and entertainment they offer. The food is fresh, tasty, a nice change of routine as well as an opportunity to sit with others and enjoy meeting new people. The parking is sometimes full but the valet gentleman always makes it work out well. Overall this is a good spot for some different food.

I've been coming to Samurai my whole life and just realized I've never left a review. This place is truly one of my favorites! Amauri is amazing, and the experience here is always a staple for me. I will say that the taste of the food can vary slightly depending on the chef--some are better than others--but overall, it's consistently delicious. Ambiance is pretty casual. The service is also great, especially since we always know exactly what to order when we arrive. Love Samurai!

I truly love Samurai. The food is always fantastic - you really can't go wrong with whatever you order. The wait staff is always very kind and attentive. Parking is only valet, which isn't my favorite but oh well. The one issue I have with this location is if you're sitting at a table with a cook in front of you, it gets HOT. Something has to be off with the ventilation. What's worse - depending on the cook you could be sitting there for the better part of an hour and a half. Between the smoke and how loud it gets because it's always packed - sometimes I wonder if it's best to just get takeout or sit by the bar. I'll be back of course because it's delicious, but I'll be opting for a tank top and bringing a lil fan just in case. I did not take great pics of my last visit, but here are a couple.

I visited Samurai for the first time in years with my kids, and wow--it might just become our new go-to spot! They absolutely loved it. Our chef was incredible--funny, personable, and truly went above and beyond to make the experience special for everyone. The waiter was just as delightful, and the food? Amazing! The flavors were spot on, and it reminded me how much I've missed hibachi. It definitely did not disappoint! Can't wait to go back.

Teppanyaki on Norwegian Escape was one of the best Japanese steakhouses I have experienced, with…read moresome novel tricks displayed by the grill master and including the biggest shrimp I have been served to date on a teppanyaki grill. All aspects of the meal and courses served were very professionally handled, prepared, and presented, from ordering drinks to receiving dessert. The dining room itself is composed of 8 grills that each seat 12, so 96 diners can be served simultaneously, in set seatings. Grill masters wear colorful red hats which at first glance I mistook for Santa caps. Our grill master, like the one at an adjacent grill, was very amiable and animated, and seemed to truly enjoy his job. We began with edamame and hot and thirst-quenching Miso Soup with dashi, tofu, and wakame, quickly followed by a Seaweed Salad with tasty Ginger Dressing. Then a huge portion of Garlic Fried Rice was prepared for 11 diners (only Diane opted for Steamed Rice, which accommodation was graciously granted). To the expressed amusement of all who saw it, my party observed a neighboring grill master attempt to flick an egg into his hat with a metal spatula but loft it too high, so it got stuck instead in the metal hooded vent directly overhead. This was like deja vu for me, because I observed the same result with a different grill master while cruising on the Norwegian Epic 6 years earlier--except with a grilled shrimp instead of an egg. Both grillers reacted to the misadventures good-naturedly, After another unbroken egg was capably propelled by a metal spatula into the top of our grill master's hat, and another uncooked egg was repeatedly hit up into the air like a loose paddle ball until it was speared on the edge of the spatula to crack the egg and drip its contents onto the grill below, a plastic chicken with moving hot feet suddenly appeared on the grill while at least six more eggs were cracked near it. Next, after the fried eggs were fully cooked, they were rolled together to take on the shape of an open-mouthed cobra that was poised to strike with the help of a fork deftly operated by the grill master. Then White Onion, squash, zucchini, and carrots were cooked and chopped on the grill just before proteins including raw Filet Mignon, Jumbo Shrimp, chicken breast, and large scallops were eased onto the hot grill for grilling. The hunks of medium-rare Filet I ordered were buttery and delicious, as were the shrimp, veggies, and Garlic Fried Rice. Separately poured sauces for the meat and seafood enhanced the enjoyment of the meal, as did two extra portions of Garlic Fried Rice that I was given. Diane's request for Teriyaki Sauce was cheerfully granted, and I was also supplied with two cups of hot Green Tea. Dessert was a choice of Green Tea Cake or Fresh Fruit Sashimi. I sampled the former, and found it to be a bit dry; but was greatly pleased with the latter, which included well-trimmed pieces of cantaloupe, honeydew melon, pineapple, watermelon, strawberries, and kiwi served with Coconut & Mango Dipping Sauces. Best of all, the per diner charge for the specialty dining meal just described was only $30.00 plus gratuity, a great deal by any measure!

Take my review as a warning and nope out before you make the same mistake. Reservations were well in advanced for 7:30pm, and my friend called to specify the max for a table and were told 10 people, which meant limiting the invite, which was unfortunate. Most of our group arrived 15 minutes early. They were shown a table for 8 people and they said, don't worry, they can add two more chairs. We were told there was a table for 13 people upstairs that would be ready in half an hour, so we decided to wait. Half an hour came and went and the table still wasn't ready so we were seated at the clown car of a table. Some of our group is definitely on the curvier side, but this table had NO business being for 10 people of any size ever. It was elbow to elbow with people being on corners. Absolutely ridiculous. Turns out the people at the big table had only been sat a little earlier than us, and had made reservations the same day. I don't know why they didn't offer us that table with our reservation being made further out. Or even mentioned that they could accommodate a larger group. We ended up getting moved to two tables upstairs, which kind of defeats the purpose of going out to eat with a group of friends. Also having known that was going to be the situation, we would have invited more people to celebrate with us. Instead we were on two partially empty tables. Our server was messy and rushed, and our chef didn't show up til almost 9pm. We were all starving. Cocktails came. My husband's Old Fashioned was awful. I think the bartender didn't put the sugar cube in or use any demerara syrup, because it just tasted like straight whiskey with a little bit of cherry. No beautiful big ball of ice...just a bunch of cubes. The Mai Tai in the special cup was basically two sips and saccharine sweet. One of the tables ordered calamari and it looked like an overfried dried out nightmare and barely got eaten. First course out was cold soup. That got sent back by most of the group. Salad was good, but it's literally just iceberg lettuce and two cherry tomatoes, so I'm not exactly celebrating that mediocrity. The table I was on got the better straw when it came to the chef's. He was fast and attentive, and threw out the same, albeit, tired party tricks the franchise is known for. My friends at the other table noted the chef seemed very new and was way too casual with the group and made mistakes regarding allergies, which is really bad. She also came out 15 minutes before our chef and finished cooking about 10 minutes after us. I believe that may have been because of an allergy situation though. The main course itself was delicious. No faults there. Everything was cooked to perfection. I personally would have preferred waaaay less butter, but for one night, it's ok. Also, idk what they've done to the "Yum Yum" sauce, but it is not in fact "Yum Yum" and instead "Meh, OK." That shit used to be like liquid crack. It seemed a bit watered down and thin compared to what I remember. We didn't see our server much throughout our meal which meant no chance for refills. At the end when he finally did show up he was rushing us with the check. He didn't offer dessert or green tea and we had to ask for my husband's ice cream that comes with his entree. He said there's no desserts on the menu when we asked what other options there were, yet their site lists a banana tempura, amongst other things. I really want to give one star, but, personally I did enjoy my main and I think our chef did a good job. The restaurant though? TRASH. The prices? INSANE for the quality of what you're getting! It was always a fairly pricey night out, but now it's downright ludicrous. And also, almost everything I touched felt sticky. The bathroom walls...doors... the handle for the stair case. So damn gross. That whole place needs to be sprayed down with degreaser. Also, I'm sure there's gonna be a reply from whoever runs their Yelp asking me to reach out thru their website. I do not need to continue this conversation. Read the bad reviews and work on your dang restaurant. We will NOT be returning.
