The food at Benihana is always consistent. Everything is so flavorful and always fresh. On this occasion, the only issue was the the timing. We arrived and 7 and weren't out of there until 9:30! If you plan on having some hibatchi, allocate plenty of time for the meal, the service is sloooow.

Benihana in coral gables. Is the worse Benihana I been to from the food to the service... first of all it took them 15 min to bring our drink to our table... I had vsg service I ask for a kids meal like I always do. I was no I can't get one. So I ask to please call the manager it took the manager 20 min to come to my table to them tell me I can't get it.. but online on then wall pages so yes . So I ask to speak to the manager again it took he 15 min to go upstairs. To tell me no I can't . I ask to please let me know why it not but online I can. He say the gm say no . I ask to speak to the gm .She was downstairs. He my family are eat and I'm waiting for the gm she never came upstairs to speak to us. After my family are done eat the manager came up and told me yes I can. But It's had to be to go. I have never been treated so bad.my family eat and I'm waiting . the food was not good has no taste.. my family was keeping ask for my soda ... this is not the first Benihana I been to and this was the worse I been to.. and when it was time to pay . Yes everyone waiting a tip .. I have no problem giving a tip but the service had to be better... when I get there one of the ladies was saying we get there too late.. something about after so time the upstairs get closed. But the guy told that we wanting upstairs..

This review is based on a sit down dinner and not a Hibachi experience. We wanted to stop in to Benihana and just have a quick meal without the theatrics. We got sat quickly as it was a Monday night and food came quickly out upon ordering. Menu is kind of all or nothing as most of the options are grouped together outside of sushi options. We were told we could order separately but that would be a lot more. So we just settled for the combos. This was not our first time at Benihana but our first time not getting Hibachi and it seemed like we got a lot more food. Seemed like a larger portion of rice and meat. Overall the food was good for Benihana standards. The yum yum sauce is always a must and the ginger dresssing on the salad is always addictive. I know Hibachi is what draws the crowd but if you just want a quick meal skipping the show might be your quickest and possibly your best value.

I'm a fan on the concept this restaurant emits. A fast food hibachi restaurant. The hibachi entrees to go are about 15 dollars and up. While not cheap, they are significantly less than what you would get at a regular hibachi restaurant. The service was pretty good, while not entirely helpful. The ambiance gives a fast food restaurant look with similar color patterns to the normal Benihana store.

Very sad to see the my very favorite food chain deteriorate so much over the years . From the food , the drinks, the service , and even their locations everything just keeps getting worse every time I visit. I've been coming to this location for more than 15 years and I wish could do something positive but I can't . The food quality has dropped. They've taken away food items that were regularly part of hibachi meals . Something as simple as a soup will get sent out cold instead of hot . Your griddles are falling apart . The vents on top of them leak oil from not cleaning them properly . The tables and chairs and falling apart . Don't even get me started on your rugs that are full of grease on every pathway of the restaurant. The service here is awful. The waiters and even management drown when they get a little Busy. I'm not expecting 5 star service but common this is a famous restaurant chain . Atleast be accountable when it comes to your service. Something as simple as refilling your customers water and checking on the once if twice on their stay makes the world of a difference. And lastly I have never walked into a restroom here and it be clean . Had to take a picture just to prove how bad it is .If

Benihana is a great place to takes friends and family for an entertaining dinner. The staff is amazing and the quality of the food is awesome. Cesar Molina the manager at the Coral Gables location came to our office with some fried rice, edimamae, and sushi and invited us to his place for a happy hour in the future. What a pleasant surprise from our neighbor. The food was delicious and the gesture was so kind. We look forward to celebrating with you Carlos.

Hadn't been to a Benihana since NJ This did not disappoint! Loved the location on miracle mile in the heart of the Gables! Service was great and the food was delicious! They made accommodations for dietary considerations and cooked the seafood separately to the meats at our table. The signature drink for the holidays was delicious! Seemed a bit pricy, but for all the courses, quality of food and show was definitely worth it as an occasional treat!!

That sounds like a fantastic experience! Here's a polished version of your review: Review for Benihana If you're in Coral Gables, particularly on the Magnificent Mile, Benihana is a must-visit for a delicious and entertaining dining experience. The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful--I enjoyed the crispy shrimp tempura, perfectly seasoned hibachi vegetables, tender chicken, and savory fried rice. My meal was complemented by a refreshing glass of strawberry lemonade. The service was outstanding, with a courteous and prompt waitstaff ensuring a seamless experience. The manager even stopped by to check in, making us feel genuinely welcome. From the engaging hibachi performance to the warm hospitality, Benihana delivers both great food and an enjoyable atmosphere. Highly recommend stopping by for a bite!

My family and I were tired from a long day and we did not have the energy to go out to eat. I looked up places to have food delivered to our hotel and found Benihana did. I ordered some Miso Soup for my mom and some chicken wings and fried rice for myself and my brother. The meal was delicious and it was reasonably priced! I was glad I made the order and had some delicious food.

Teppanyaki on Norwegian Escape was one of the best Japanese steakhouses I have experienced, with…read moresome novel tricks displayed by the grill master and including the biggest shrimp I have been served to date on a teppanyaki grill. All aspects of the meal and courses served were very professionally handled, prepared, and presented, from ordering drinks to receiving dessert. The dining room itself is composed of 8 grills that each seat 12, so 96 diners can be served simultaneously, in set seatings. Grill masters wear colorful red hats which at first glance I mistook for Santa caps. Our grill master, like the one at an adjacent grill, was very amiable and animated, and seemed to truly enjoy his job. We began with edamame and hot and thirst-quenching Miso Soup with dashi, tofu, and wakame, quickly followed by a Seaweed Salad with tasty Ginger Dressing. Then a huge portion of Garlic Fried Rice was prepared for 11 diners (only Diane opted for Steamed Rice, which accommodation was graciously granted). To the expressed amusement of all who saw it, my party observed a neighboring grill master attempt to flick an egg into his hat with a metal spatula but loft it too high, so it got stuck instead in the metal hooded vent directly overhead. This was like deja vu for me, because I observed the same result with a different grill master while cruising on the Norwegian Epic 6 years earlier--except with a grilled shrimp instead of an egg. Both grillers reacted to the misadventures good-naturedly, After another unbroken egg was capably propelled by a metal spatula into the top of our grill master's hat, and another uncooked egg was repeatedly hit up into the air like a loose paddle ball until it was speared on the edge of the spatula to crack the egg and drip its contents onto the grill below, a plastic chicken with moving hot feet suddenly appeared on the grill while at least six more eggs were cracked near it. Next, after the fried eggs were fully cooked, they were rolled together to take on the shape of an open-mouthed cobra that was poised to strike with the help of a fork deftly operated by the grill master. Then White Onion, squash, zucchini, and carrots were cooked and chopped on the grill just before proteins including raw Filet Mignon, Jumbo Shrimp, chicken breast, and large scallops were eased onto the hot grill for grilling. The hunks of medium-rare Filet I ordered were buttery and delicious, as were the shrimp, veggies, and Garlic Fried Rice. Separately poured sauces for the meat and seafood enhanced the enjoyment of the meal, as did two extra portions of Garlic Fried Rice that I was given. Diane's request for Teriyaki Sauce was cheerfully granted, and I was also supplied with two cups of hot Green Tea. Dessert was a choice of Green Tea Cake or Fresh Fruit Sashimi. I sampled the former, and found it to be a bit dry; but was greatly pleased with the latter, which included well-trimmed pieces of cantaloupe, honeydew melon, pineapple, watermelon, strawberries, and kiwi served with Coconut & Mango Dipping Sauces. Best of all, the per diner charge for the specialty dining meal just described was only $30.00 plus gratuity, a great deal by any measure!
