All evening empty crab legs and oysters
    Jen F.

Very disappointed by this restaurant. They advertise having crab legs and oysters and being now 2 hours here, all I saw was a bucket of ice what never got filled with food. The salmon nigiri were cut paper thin and only an inch long and less than an inch wide. Every food I tried was dry and old tasting. Even the hibachi was dry and tasted like nothing. The desert was a poor and cheap selection, not even watermelon they had. The ice cream is from such poor quality, our family took a few different flavors and we all couldn't get it down. Even my 2.5 year old son said nasty trying the cookie&cream ice cream. On top they have signs warning to charge extra if people waste their food. But it's truly not eatable. Never again

Located on West Hollywood towards the end of a strip mall, this unassuming value priced buffet was a lovely surprise. We were invited along by family who really liked the place. We were honestly a little hesitant based on how reasonably it was priced. While I wouldn't say it was the best quality of food I've had on a buffet, I think for the price, variety, and ability to find some shining stars among the average to good, this place is worth a visit. Service was friendly and attentive. Will definitely give it another trip if I'm in the mood for this type of buffet.

I will start off by saying the buffet is huge, and every entree is high quality. Has a very nice vibe inside. All staff is on their game, they replace items and wait on tables promptly. From the sushi to the fruit, each item is fantastic. You cannot beat this place when it comes to value. The whole place is also very clean. I will definitely be back. 5/5

The buffet has a wide selection of dishes, from sushi and hibachi to hot entrees and seafood, so there's definitely something for everyone. The sushi bar was one of the highlights for me--fresh, constantly restocked, and with a decent variety of rolls to choose from. I also appreciated the made-to-order hibachi station, where you can customize your plate and have it cooked right in front of you. It adds a nice touch compared to your typical buffet. The atmosphere is pretty standard for a buffet--busy and a bit loud at times--but the staff does a good job keeping things moving and clearing tables quickly. Everything felt clean and well-maintained, which is always a big plus.

But local friends strongly encouraged us to go to Mizumi, especially since it was within walking distance of where we stayed. I have to admit I was extremely skeptical of and resistant to dining at Mizumi. AYCE anything is is usually a losing proposition for me, especially if it involves sushi. But some members of our contingent were so happy about this meal that I think it just may have been worth our while -- despite our laughable lack of endurance for buffets! The sushi was... not bad. Surprisingly not bad. The fish was not expertly cut by real sushi restaurant standards, but some of the cuts were of surprisingly high quality, including fish served as sashimi where there's nowhere to hide if it isn't of high quality. I enjoyed the akami and escolar (I think also known as "white tuna") cuts. Escolar has been banned in Japan for its high levels of indigestible wax esters, so you'd never see it there. I've seen it on a lot of mid- to lower tier sushi places in the Miami area, and it does taste pleasant. But enjoy with caution since those indigestible wax esters can cause an upset stomach if you eat more than your body can tolerate. Even knowing the risk, this escolar was so buttery and flavorful, I was tempted to take more than the two pieces I tried -- about as much as I know I can consume without side effects. Mackerel sashimi, on the other hand, was extremely fishy and not to my taste. Nigiri came with too much rice as is probably the norm for AYCE sushi, but the fish I tried was all of decent quality. Maki were also sometimes excellent, especially vegetarian preparations. cucumber-wrapped preparations and rice-paper / summer roll preparations. Excellent: - snow crab legs - Sichuan crawfish - creme brulee dessert (not overly sweet) - the sheer choice of offerings! - oysters (a huge, unidentified varietal, fresh and enjoyable, but very poorly shucked with lots of shell bits and no liquor) - butter clams - Italian style cooked salmon - Vietnamese summer roll-style, rice paper crepe wrapped maki Good: - akami and escolar sashimi - cucumber wrapped maki ("Naruto roll") - sauteed green beans Fair: - ribs - gyoza / dumplings - most maki - asparagus preparation (hyposaline, but good with a spritz of lemon and a small additional sprinkle of salt) - the Pardner's cocktail (very sweet, but otherwise well mixed and well priced by NYC and I suspect Sunny Isle / North Miami Beach standards) If it were up to just me, I'd rather go for really excellent sushi, ceviche or other seafood at a restaurant specializing in these. But given how much my convives enjoyed the vast choice on offer at this buffet and the sometimes high quality of the food, I didn't, in the end, feel sad about eating here.... to my great surprise!

JWB would have received 5 stars however my experience was rating of 3 although the food was a rating of 4. I was in a party of 14 and we tried several items and while I do not drink alcohol the team indulged and enjoyed several of the options. Appetizer Course: Crab cakes, WagyuMeatballs, Bone Marrow, Goat Cheese Entrees: Shrimp and Grits, Bone-in Ribeye, Steak and Frites, Filet Mignon, Specialty Steak Sides: Mashed Potatoes, Potatoes Au Gratin, Mushroom, Mac & Cheese, Brussels Sprouts, Broccolini Desserts: Key Lime Pie, Chocolate Cake, Banana Cream Pie I personally tried all of the appetizers and they were phenomenal, I ordered the bone-in ribeye (medium rare) with jumbo shrimp enhanced with truffle butter and the following sides to share: broccolini and potatoes au gratin and I ordered the banana cream pie for dessert. My steak arrived well done which is far from medium rare, I asked Patrick to have a new steak prepared because the original steak was not prepared to my liking. Here is where I have an issue with the service provided. Yes, the steak was taken back, however when the new steak arrived, is it expected that I eat "room temperature" sides and shrimp? Why was the entire meal not made over? Needless to say, I was charged a fee for having a large party, however I did not have a large party dining experience. I spent the evening watching everyone enjoy their meal and I simply waited. I asked for the food to be prepared to go, to prevent everyone else in the party from having to wait on me to eat. Nonetheless, no leader came over to greet me or offer any type of good faith gesture for the inconvenience. My bill alone was in excess of $2,000, and I left an additional tip because Patrick and the team were great, however I expect a certain level of service from restaurants especially when you are requesting additional fees to service the client.
