Samuel's Florist was an absolute joy to work with. I wrote a note when I ordered, indicating that the flowers would be going to a household with cats, and received a call from the florist indicating that she was knowledgeable on pet-safe flowers thanks to her work with animal hospitals. This was unexpected, but so welcome - I have never experienced this level of care and follow-up for an online flower order before. The flowers came out beautifully, the recipient was delighted, and recipient's cats were able to exist peacefully with the flowers with no issues! My best friend had surgery and I wanted to send her some get well flowers. Some of my co-workers and managers wanted to do the same as we work together. I made a same day delivery order and when they were making the bouquets they didn't have enough of the sunflowers so they called me and asked if I would want to wait till tomorrow so more can be picked up or if they can use other flowers in addition to the sunflowers. I can't say enough about this place. With all the restrictions going on, I wasn't even sure I could get flowers delivered. Samuel's is taking all precautions to make sure all requirements are being followed. I called on a Wednesday and flowers were delivered on Thursday before noon. I needed an arrangement, agreed on the cost including delivery. There's always a hesitation when ordering over the phone, but Samuel's did not disappoint. My mother's birthday was last Saturday, and I was so bummed about not getting to see her in-person due to the coronavirus quarantine that I searched the internet for a florist delivery option nearby on the day of. Every option was either closed or couldn't do same day delivery, except for Samuel's Florist. I submitted my order online right before they closed, and about an hour later I received an email stating that they didn't have the exact flowers that were pictured in the arrangement I paid for, but they would still ensure that the arrangement was beautiful and comparable to the price I paid. Honestly, I think the arrangement they delivered was even more beautiful than the one I paid for. They truly went above and beyond to deliver something stunning, and the delivery was on time, same day. I'm sure they're struggling with supply logistics and overhead costs during the quarantine, but I was so thoroughly impressed and grateful for the care they put into my mom's arrangement that I had to leave this review. Donna Came to the Rescue! I went to visit my brothers grave site at Forest Lawn. It was early on a Thursday morning and I was expecting the flower sellers to be lined up on Forest Lawn Drive. They were not there. I was shocked. So I drove up and down Olive looking for a flower shop. Either I was too early and they were not open yet or they moved or they closed but really after 6 tries I found this place. Donna made me an exceptional looking bouquet and we added some candy bars in addition for relatives and friends that would visit later. Awful phone service! I was surprised since previous reviews had mentioned otherwise. The lady who took my call was rude, and short. After I relayed that I wasn't from the area, had seen some of the sample pictures on yelp and website plus needed a flower delivery--her reply was "we only deliver in Burbank for same day orders". She continued by explaining that they didn't have available any of the arrangements shown online and only mixed flowers of $50, $75 and maybe more. She was very fast in describing the types of flowers. After asking if they came in a vase and what type she laughed at my question. She said it was a standard vase. I further inquired about what style: short, tall, thin, etc--she continued laughing and said a standard vase. Overall terrible customer service. Regardless of how amazing previous reviews have been my experience with this lady was enough to deter me from moving forward. She did not convey professionalism, which trickled down to feeling untrustworthy about how the arrangement would come out if I ordered from them. I wish I would have asked her name since this terrible experience stemmed from her alone and not another employee or the company itself. read more
