I recently had Skylight Flowers create an arrangement for me for a gallery opening, and it was absolutely beautiful and well beyond my expectations. From start to finish, the team was incredibly responsive to all of my questions and very flexible with the pickup time I requested, which I really appreciated. A good friend had lost a family member and they were not holding a memorial service. I decided to use a local flower shop to them to provide my condolences. Since I am not from Glendale, it was helpful that Sky Light had a good website that had great pictures and a convenient online ordering. I chose a warm basket arrangement that I thought was both beautiful and homey. It was a large arrangement that was also a bit pricey but I felt it was on par with most LA county florists. I got an email confirmation. My friend sent a photo later thanking me and the arrangement was as I had hoped for. I wish the delivery person provided me a visual of the delivery directly kinda like how Amazon does it for your packages. I didn't want to bother my friend to see if she had received it. I also didn't want it sitting outside possibly wilting if it was left at the door. For a $200+ arrangement I think the additional communication would have been great. Maybe next time they'll adopt this! Overall I recommend Sky Light Flowers. read more

My honey and I came in to purchase a boutonniere for his 50th birthday celebration. From the moment we walked in, the energy felt off. I immediately noticed there was no clear explanation of the process -- I had to ask questions just to understand how things worked. Despite that, I gave very clear and specific instructions: a red rose, wrapped with black trim, gold-sprayed leaves, and baby's breath. On the day of pickup, I called to confirm the order was ready and was met with rudeness over the phone. When I arrived and saw the boutonniere, I was completely disappointed -- there was no baby's breath. When I asked about it, I was told, "Oh, I didn't put it. I thought what I added looked more elegant." Imagine paying for something and having someone change your order based on their personal preference. That is unacceptable. I had to firmly express my concerns and insist that it be corrected to match what we originally discussed and ordered. While I waited for it to be fixed, it was frustrating to say the least. Instead of baby's breath, she added small yellow flowers that would have completely clashed with his suit and the color theme of his party. Thank goodness this was not our wedding day -- the outcome could have been an absolute disaster. I'm sharing this so others are aware: double-check your order before leaving. Unfortunately, I will not be returning and cannot recommend this business.

My honey and I came in to purchase a boutonniere for his 50th birthday celebration. From the moment we walked in, the energy felt off. I immediately noticed there was no clear explanation of the process -- I had to ask questions just to understand how things worked. Despite that, I gave very clear and specific instructions: a red rose, wrapped with black trim, gold-sprayed leaves, and baby's breath. On the day of pickup, I called to confirm the order was ready and was met with rudeness over the phone. When I arrived and saw the boutonniere, I was completely disappointed -- there was no baby's breath. When I asked about it, I was told, "Oh, I didn't put it. I thought what I added looked more elegant." Imagine paying for something and having someone change your order based on their personal preference. That is unacceptable. I had to firmly express my concerns and insist that it be corrected to match what we originally discussed and ordered. While I waited for it to be fixed, it was frustrating to say the least. Instead of baby's breath, she added small yellow flowers that would have completely clashed with his suit and the color theme of his party. Thank goodness this was not our wedding day -- the outcome could have been an absolute disaster. I'm sharing this so others are aware: double-check your order before leaving. Unfortunately, I will not be returning and cannot recommend this business.
