Went to Sam's Kitchen last night for the first time. Ambience was lovely, service was spot on and food was delicious. Took advantage of their three course menu special for $35.00. Lots of options to choose from and a beverage is included, even wine! I got the potato leek soup, chicken piccata, and tiramisu. You just can not go wrong. A lovely dinner and evening was enjoyed immensely.

So pleasantly surprised by Sam's kitchen restaurant in Woburn. They offer both a six and 9 ounce pour for your wine. I don't see that very often, and it's nice to not have to order a second glass when all you want is just a larger glass of wine lol. Hubby had a Peroni beer, and we both had chicken and veal Parm respectively. It was really good and I really liked the pasta as well. The staff was very attentive, but not overly so. I hate when they get you in the middle of the meal with your mouthful and ask questions lol. And she didn't do that and I like that. We will definitely definitely be back. The only downside? if you are people of size like we are, two tables can be a little tight. We asked for a table that normally seats so we could eat comfortably, the woman who sat seemed a little annoyed at the request, but was luckily able to accommodate. Again, the only downside that I found. We will go back!

Sam's Kitchen just outside of Boston is worth a visit. It reminded me of some great Italian you find on the Northside of Town. My short rib gnocchi was loaded with meat and had a hearty sauce while the gnocchi was quite tender. In short the dish was excellent. Staff were friendly and kept my table well serviced. Sam's says they are a family restaurant which makes the visit even better.

This Italian restaurant has become my favorite 2024 Professional but passionate service. When the servers describe the "special" you can sense their glee and pride in the creations of coming out of the kitchen I had fra Diablo mussels over squid ink pasta. marvelous!! For desert I had pistachio tiramisu- A SPECIAL desert - great flavor and not overly sweet Limited by reasonable wine selection City parking lot about 1/2 block away or street parking

Lucked into this place restaurant and very happy we did. I was looking for a place where I could meet my son for dinner and Woburn was halfway for both of us. We parked and spotted Sam's soon after, looked inviting and comfortable so we went in. We were greeted at the door and were immediately seated with drinks and menus. The inside is nicely lit, and warm. Our waiter was attentive and took the time to walk us through the menu and the specials. The food was even better, we started with the mussels in the white wine sauce which I highly recommend! My son had a chicken saltimbocca which he loved and I ordered the special, a bone in veal chop and mushroom sauce with broccoli rabe and risotto which was superb. The experience was fantastic, and the bill was really reasonable. Really a great place and a memorable evening. If you want a walk after dinner, around the corner is the Woburn public library, also worth a visit!

It's a small cozy place. Reservations recommended due to limited seating. Service was great but food was OK. I had the lobster ravioli and the raviolis were just too thick and didn't have much for filling. For us it was just OK unfortunately.

Really outstanding, don't forget to bring wine, and a nice wine because the food is good, and make a reservation.

Interesting local beer on tap and other local sourced drinks. The food however, was disappointing. Chicken and Waffles: waffles were incredibly sweet. Like dessert sweet. Made worse by hot honey topping and a sweet breading on the chicken. First bites were good but you get over sweeted pretty quick. OG chicken sandwich was so, so, dry. Same very sweet fried chicken, dry slaw that didn't add any flavor, a few pickles that helped a bit, but no real flavor. The chicken (on the waffles too) was hammered...fried till super dry. Comes with a side of potato chips but they weren't hot or seasoned. The big pretzel app was good. Beer cheese was ok, honey mustard was better. Sorry we didn't enjoy ourselves more. Nice people and very good service.

For the mains, we tried the filet mignon, oven roasted sea bass, and cedar plank roasted salmon. All were good and tasted light and healthy. We also got a side of brussel sprouts and truffled risotto. The risotto was a bit too rich and creamy for my taste, but my family enjoyed it. We each ended the meal with our own little desserts. We each had an entree, shared 2 orders of the beef empanadas (Star of the show!), and a total of 5 cocktails and 2 beers. The bill came to just over $300 before tip. This isn't horrible for a tapas spot, but the taste of the entrees were just not worth it. That, and the amount of alcohol you get in most of the cocktails. So much ice and like 2 sips of drink. There's 1 drink with aperol and champagne that is big and you get the remainder of the small champagne as a side car though. We had 2 of the paellas and they were on the smaller side for paella. The flavor was meh and nothing really stood out. I had the steak frites and it was such a small portion of steak. Maybe 4 oz? And the char flavor was so overpowering. The chimichurri I was looking forward to was extremely mild in flavor. The fries were cooked nicely though. Our server was friendly but forgetful. She kept forgetting parts of our order and whether she had already done something or not. Was a bit odd. Overall, I won't be making an effort to come back here.
