Samosa King is a hidden gem in Tinley Park! The restaurant was very clean, which is something I always notice. One thing that really stood out to me was that the bathroom actually had hot water. You'd be surprised how many restaurants don't. The gentleman who took my order was friendly, helpful, and gave great recommendations. Great customer service can make a good meal even better. I ordered the chicken biryani, samosas, roti, and lamb saag, and everything was flavorful and well-prepared. Then the owner's son asked us to try a dish he created called **Butter Chicken Fries**. Let me tell you... those fries were absolutely delicious! The combination of crispy fries and rich, flavorful butter chicken was a winner. I would order them again in a heartbeat. This visit was takeout, but after this experience, I'll definitely be dining in next time. Between the cleanliness, friendly service, and amazing food, Samosa King earned a return visit from me. Wow! I had some wonderful Kadhai chicken and biryani for dinner tonight. I called in the order and also got some samosas and garlic naan. Everything was delicious!! I definitely plan to go again, bc the restaurant is located in a great spot on 183rd Street. I got my food to go so the service was really good but there was a family there eating inside too. The food is amazing! I find myself coming here at least once a week. The vegetable samosas are absolutely phenomenal. I've tried several items on the menu, and I've enjoyed every one of them. The gentleman who's always at the register is incredibly friendly and welcoming. He's happy to answer any questions about the menu and always offers excellent recommendations. One of the things about no longer living on the North Side of Chicago is not having access to a known stretch of Indian restaurants. As you move farther away from Devon Street, the more Indian restaurants become a luxury. I had been going to a walk-up location of Samosa King on the north end of Tinley Park. I recently passed by a location that is closer to where I live. So, I stopped in one afternoon. I ordered pani puri, choley bhatura, and masala chai. The pani puri with the dip was just the appetizer I needed - for a change. The potatoes were lightly spicy, which was a plus given our cold temperatures. The choley bhatura was a winner. And since I have developed mastery eating Indian food with my hands, that made it that better. I ordered it with a spice level of hot and there was no ring around my mouth from the peppers. My scalp sweated, though, and that meant that they must have cooked the peppers instead of adding them at the end. With the masala chai, the lunch was a winner. Nothing is rushed. Food is cooked to order, so there will be a wait. There is plenty of room inside if you choose indoor dining. It looked like there is a patio for outside seating, which would be an ideal offering during warmer months. Big ups for outstanding service and high marks for even better food with flavor. I will definitely be going back since I don't have to go back into Chicago for North Side Indian food on Devon Street. read more

Delicious! Not too many Indian restaurants around me. I've been to the older location on oak park ave before and it was very good. I drove past here and when I realzied they had a dine in restaurant I couldn't wait to try it. I had a few questions about the portions and the man working was very helpful. Lots of space available for dining in. You order at the counter, receive a number, and they bring the food out to you with self serve fountain drinks. read more

Samosa King is a fantastic spot if you're looking for authentic Indian food, especially vegetarian dishes. Their menu was the perfect size and offered just the right mix of options. We kicked off the night with the vada pav and I honestly don't know that I've had more authentic street flavors in a really long time from the meal to the chutney! The Pav Bhaji was another highlight--comforting, well-spiced, and served with soft toasted bread. We tried almost every type of paneer dish and my fav was actually the paneer burji as it was unique and spiced just right. The portions are generous and service spot on. The whole staff was really sweet especially given it was opening weeks. I appreciated how freshly it all was! The atmosphere is casual and welcoming.
