Fast Indian food done right. Small menu but ample selections. Super friendly proprietor. Lots of seating. Super clean. We will be back soon.

One of the things about no longer living on the North Side of Chicago is not having access to a known stretch of Indian restaurants. As you move farther away from Devon Street, the more Indian restaurants become a luxury. I had been going to a walk-up location of Samosa King on the north end of Tinley Park. I recently passed by a location that is closer to where I live. So, I stopped in one afternoon. I ordered pani puri, choley bhatura, and masala chai. The pani puri with the dip was just the appetizer I needed - for a change. The potatoes were lightly spicy, which was a plus given our cold temperatures. The choley bhatura was a winner. And since I have developed mastery eating Indian food with my hands, that made it that better. I ordered it with a spice level of hot and there was no ring around my mouth from the peppers. My scalp sweated, though, and that meant that they must have cooked the peppers instead of adding them at the end. With the masala chai, the lunch was a winner. Nothing is rushed. Food is cooked to order, so there will be a wait. There is plenty of room inside if you choose indoor dining. It looked like there is a patio for outside seating, which would be an ideal offering during warmer months. Big ups for outstanding service and high marks for even better food with flavor. I will definitely be going back since I don't have to go back into Chicago for North Side Indian food on Devon Street.

It's a clean quiet cozy spot. The owner is THEE nicest man. The food is absolutely delicious. You can't go wrong. I'm so happy they have an additional location that has a dining area.

I visit family a few times a year and have struggled to find reliable places (or really any), especially for Thai and Indian. Well, this new restaurant changes all of that. The food is delicious, and very fresh. It has some unique flavor profiles but they are more complex than expected. I got the Lamb Vindaloo and it had a more rich and interesting mix of ingredients than I have found elsewhere. One good test too is if you feel good afterwards as some places use oils instead of onions for the base. This place passes on all fronts. The rice and naan were decent as well. I was told that the spice index was (2=mild, 5=medium, 7=hot). I ordered a 6 and it was pleasantly spicy/hot. I have a feeling that 7 is "white guy hot" and if you really like it spicy and can handle ethnic levels of spice, 8-10 is probably there for you if requested. The place was basically empty and other reviewers have mentioned how quiet it is. I came on Monday night and it had been raining, so I wasn't expecting much of a crowd. A few takeout drivers came in. The service was excellent and friendly and informative. The atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. It is very basic/functional with a little bit of decoration. Lots of seating. The south side doesn't have a lot of great buildings with character and many are more "strip mall" like, and I can appreciate that it would be a bit hard to make it look that great. Overall a definite 5 stars and I will come back again in the future.

The food was so fresh and flavorful and the portions were large enough to share and take home leftovers. I will definitely return.

Absolutely not! This was the dirtiest restaurant I've seen. Yea, they need to make repairs, but…read morerepairs aside it was just filthy. Dirt on the walls. Dirt on the tables. Floors that probably haven't been mopped in weeks, but the dirt might be holding down the floor boards. The worker behind the counter yelled across and told us to have a seat. There was NO ONE in the whole place. We didn't even sit down. We just took at look at the booths and left. If the front of house is that dirty what does the back look like. No thank you! I'm sure they'll be closed soon.

This was actually our second time coming to the restaurant; on our first attempted visit, we'd actually arrived when they were still serving their American menu, which we were not interested in. It would be helpful if their website made their split hours abundantly clear to avoid any mishaps like this. We had the dining room to ourselves for the majority of our dinner. The bulk of their business seemed to be carry-out/third party delivery services. Their menus looked well-crafted, but they had been hand-modified to update their prices, which definitely impacted their aesthetic. I ordered the Paneer Butter Masala, and my husband had the Spinach Paneer Masala. Our dishes were both okay - not the best but not the worst Indian I've ever had. We both requested mild spiciness, but my husband's dish definitely had a much stronger kick to it. We shared an order of the Paneer Kulcha, which was the best part of our experience. Delicious and generously filled with paneer. The most curious part about our experience was that when our server brought out our entrees, he asked if we wanted rice. In every Indian dining experience I've had, rice always came standard with the entrée. He brought us out a dish of rice after we confirmed that we did want it. Unfortunately, this one dish of rice was not enough for both of our entrées when we took the leftover curries home with us. For dessert, we had the Ras Malai and Gulab Jamun. Both items were tasty, although I didn't find the description of the Ras Malai to be accurate as it didn't remind me of a cheese cake at all.
