Amazing pork belly and authentic Korean food! Service was fantastic, and I loved the unlimited banchan, especially the lettuce! A lot of Korean restaurants charge extra for lettuce wraps, so being able to grab as much as you want here was a huge plus. Minari Pork Belly Platter -- MUST ORDER! The pork belly was delicious and cooked right in front of you. Available in portions for 2, 3, or 4 people. Each order also comes with a crispy pancake and soup. The pancake was perfectly crispy without being too thick or doughy. After, they set aside a few slices of pork belly to make fried rice for you! Yukhoe (Beef Tartare) Authentic, traditional Korean beef tartare with a unique taste and texture. I enjoyed it, but it's definitely not for everyone! Parking: Large parking lot. Only downside was the restroom, which is located outside the restaurant and felt a bit odd. Overall, a great spot for authentic Korean food. I'd definitely come back for the pork belly!

This restaurant truly captures the atmosphere of Korea. The pork belly is thick and delicious, and a highlight is the minari (water parsley) grilled alongside it. The platter for two is reasonably priced at $79.99 and includes two sides: soup and fried rice. The staff are incredibly friendly and grill the meat for you at the table. There's also a self-serve bar where you can get extra vegetables and side dishes, all fresh and delicious, with everything kept clean. It really feels like being back in Korea!

Second time here would come back a third! Everything is very fresh and has a good taste This time we got pork belly and the minari a'l'cart since we ordered the yukhoe bibimbap and a soup. The preset deals are a better value but it's nice to be able to mix and match! Service was prompt and friendly and it is a cozy place to enjoy a nice meal!

Samgyeopjib is a spot in Artesia by Norwalk Blvd and the 91 freeway that specializes in grilled pork belly. They don't offer other meats on the menu; however, I was not left wanting for more. For $79.99, they gave a generous portion of pork belly on the grill with a side of greens. The minari gets sauteed on the rendered pork fat and it tastes like sauteed spinach. As the meat continues to render, the pork belly transforms from slightly chewy to crispy over the course of the meal. One of the nice things about this place is that you can self-serve lettuce, herbs, kimchi, and mushrooms. We threw some mushrooms on the grill to enjoy with the meats. If you take some pork belly and wrap it with kimchi, scallions, mushrooms, shiso leaf, and lettuce, you can manufacture perfect bites with a variety of flavorful combinations. Pork belly can be very rich and fatty, so it's really nice to be able to balance the fat with acidity from pickled veggies, herbs/shiso/scallions, and fresh veggies. Their meal came with kimchi stew and a green onion pancake. I liked that they made kimchi fried rice on the grill at the end of the meal. The portion was plentiful and it could have easily fed three. We had a ton of leftovers that we will be enjoying tomorrow. I'd definitely come back to enjoy some ssam wraps.

I'm back at Samgyeopjib for their Pork Belly and Minari and here is an updated review! The food and staff are excellent! Prices are still the same. There were a few minor changes this time around. There is a plastic drape cover for the side dishes and greens at the self-serve station. While a bit cumbersome to use, it's a nice addition because it helps keep the flies out. Another change is that mushrooms are self-serve now whereas it used to come directly on the the cook plate with no refills. I love these new changes! Can't wait to come back again!

I came here to celebrate a birthday with a party of eight. We enjoyed ourselves and the food was good, but we were kind of pressured into ordering two orders of the pork belly since there were two stoves for our party. So we got that and a noodle dish and the seafood pancakes. The seafood pancake taste was good, but the texture was a little too soft/soggy for me. The pork belly was great, and the oil drain off was pretty cool. My complaints are that the banchan was kind of weak and the salad station was not good. The daikon circles were rough and the place was not ventilated enough, as others have mentioned. Service was good though, and one of the workers was very playful toward my children, which was nice.

We arrived at 5:30 on a Saturday after they had just opened, put our name on the list, and waited about 40 minutes before being seated. This place gets very busy so expect a wait! Ordering is done on a tablet but the staff is very friendly and helpful. The pork belly was delicious with plenty of minari. There is also a self serve bar with all banchan and even more fresh lettuce, mushrooms, etc. They have plenty of fans running but the place does get a little smokey. At the end they make fried rice and you have the option of adding cheese.

Came after seeing a reel on Instagram. I don't see myself coming back here often, but it's an alright place specifically for pork belly KBBQ which is what they're known for. I would try to make a reservation in advance in case it gets busy. Better for social eats with friends. --- Food: The menu is limited to the pork belly platters and your choice of side dishes (also comes with Kimchi fried rice at the end). We got the soybean paste stew and found it was a little salty by itself. Might feel a little overpriced if you ever do KBBQ cooking or make pork belly at home but there is a lot of food and you'll probably have some leftovers. This was my first time having minari (korea watercress) and I thought it was a great combination - the pork belly platters come with a huge serving of it! Experience: Service was a bit confusing. I've been to places where you cook your own meat and also places where they cook for you but this was an odd in-between. It was a little confusing what was self-serve vs. what we could get ourselves. For example the side dishes are in the back and I might not have known to look for it and get it myself if I hadn't seen that on the reel. There was water further back on the table but I also wasn't sure if I could just take that or if I had to ask the server about it (ended up asking the server). The servers cook the pork belly for you, but there is a spout where excess oil pours out into a bowl and we had to let the server know it was going to overflow and they needed to change it. Overall the staff are friendly but it might have been nice for them to ask if we were first time guests and inform about what to do. Vibes: I came with my parents and I realized it was probably a better spot for coming with friends rather than family. They had a lot of current pop songs playing loudly and the restaurant demographic was an overall younger crowd. Along with the food quality and server experience I would go somewhere else next time with family. With friends we would probably want to go somewhere with more variety in meats but that's why if you're craving pork belly specifically this could be a good option.

I had an absolutely fantastic dining experience here at Samgyeopjib. I visited during the week night with one of my good friends. We had to put ourselves on a waitlist and be on standby for about 15 minutes. The wait was definitely worthwhile! All the meals are cooked by the expert staff here. They are friendly and extremely efficient. All the sides were delicious. The watercress and other herbs enhanced the meal by 10000%. They are free to grab from the self-serve station. If there are any leftovers available in the end, the staff there will create some pork belly kimchi fried rice for you. It was a perfect way to conclude the meal and have something else to munch on. Nothing wasted from the pan! I can't wait to go back and take my other friends and family there in the future!

I could have sworn I saw this go viral, and I remember I wanted to try it. Originally we wanted to try Seoul Belly, but they are closed on Monday nights. When we went, it was pretty empty. We had 3 people and we asked the waitress if we should get the portion for 2 people or 3-4. She immediately said 2 people. It came with a pancake, kimchi soup, pork belly, and fried rice. The pancake could have been crispier. The pork belly came out slightly cooked. She would cut it up for us and would come by to spread around the pork belly and cook it more. It also came with Minari and you could put Kimchi and garlic on the grill. They had unlimited side dishes or lettuce, cucumbers, kimchi, and fish cake. We made wraps with the pork belly, and it was delicious. The Kimchi fried rice served at the end was absolutely delicious. All in all, this place is fantastic and I would definitely go again. The portion for 2 people could definitely have served 4 people.

There was nothing particularly bad about this place. The atmosphere is more like a local neighborhood restaurant, and the servers were all friendly. I did not have any service issues or complaints during the meal. The food was good overall, and the best part was definitely the minari. It was very fresh and much thicker and better quality than what I usually see at grocery stores. You can tell that minari is what this place specializes in, and that part was genuinely impressive. The samgyeopsal was tasty, but it did not feel especially different from pork belly that I could buy and grill myself at home. It was solid, just not memorable enough to justify going out of my way for it. One friend wanted to try the yukhoe, but it had a strong frozen or previously frozen feel to me. I cannot say that for sure, but it did not taste especially fresh or stand out in a good way. My biggest issue was the price. They advertise an unlimited salad bar, but Korean restaurants will usually refill side dishes when you ask anyway, even without calling it unlimited. So the "all-you-can-eat" part felt a little more like marketing than a major benefit. Yes, the minari is fresh, but the overall meal still felt expensive for what you get. It is a decent place with good service and very fresh minari, but I would not personally feel the need to come back often at this price point.

London S.

The food is good but I was very underwhelmed for the price. All this for $180 for a party of 3 (including tip) is pretty ridiculous considering you can make this at home for a fraction of the price. Social media really got me on this one lol you can go to a higher end kbbq spot for this sort of price. Anyway the service is good, and the ambiance is nice because people are often drinking/chatting. I also thought the kimchi fried rice would come in a bigger serving but it was really only enough for 2 people -- or 1 really hungry person like me

The cheese was literally a strip. I know this place isn't Yupddeok but they do a whole swirl on the bowl there. Yikes. And the chicken was... mediocre at best. Very anorexic chicken. And they wanted to charge an extra $2 for sauce. Yeah, we left hungry and unhappy. My sister talked about getting McDonald's on the way home. My husband said we should've gone to Chili's. Next time, we'll make the drive to Yukddeok for tteokbokki. Service was good though, our server was very sweet. I would prefer a dipping sauce that is a tinge sweet, but more focused on a homemade style chili sauce and garlic. The sugary sauce doesn't bring out the taste of the meats. It coats it. The braised beef and pork belly both come with the same sweet sauce. Not a fan. Unfortunately, the glass noodles were also drowned in the sweet sauce. What happened to salt and sesame oil? I probably won't visit Pocha again for a while. I hope to see they listen to what I've said and make some changes. It has been transformed…read moreinto one of the area's premier destinations for authentic Korean comfort food, embracing the traditions of slow-cooked, homestyle recipes passed down through generations. Every dish reflects a dedication to Korean culinary heritage, arriving at the table bubbling, sizzling, and steaming with irresistible aromas. Step inside and you are welcomed by the comforting scent of toasted sesame, simmering garlic, and richly fermented broths that instantly make you feel at home. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and unpretentious, capturing the feeling of gathering around a family dinner table. The menu celebrates soulful Korean classics with bold fermented flavors, slow-simmered stews, casseroles, salad wrap combinations, noodle dishes, and grilled fish, alongside shareable favorites like Korean chive pancakes, seafood pancakes, and abalone porridge. Every meal begins with one of the best complimentary spreads of banchan in town. The assortment is vibrant, tangy, spicy, and refreshingly diverse, featuring dishes that are increasingly difficult to find at many Korean restaurants. Our table included a variety of namul (seasoned vegetables), steamed eggplant, creamy Korean potato salad, japchae, and wonderfully fresh kimchi. Each side dish provided its own balance of flavor and texture while perfectly complementing both steamed rice and the main courses. **Dwaeji Bossam (Steamed Pork with Napa Cabbage) + Doenjang Jjigae (Soybean Paste Stew) Combo, plus banchan - $45.99** The bossam showcases beautifully prepared pork belly that is incredibly moist, tender, and melt-in-your-mouth rich without any unwanted pork odor. Thin slices of pork are elegantly arranged like ribbons and served alongside an impressive assortment of accompaniments: spicy julienned radish kimchi (musaengchae), sliced raw garlic, fresh jalapeños, ssamjang (sweet and savory fermented soybean chili paste), saeujeot (salted fermented shrimp), carrot and cucumber sticks, crisp green leaf lettuce, and blanched napa cabbage for wrapping. Every condiment serves a purpose. The crunchy radish kimchi cuts through the richness of the pork with bright acidity and spice. The saeujeot delivers an intensely savory burst of umami, while the ssamjang contributes a balanced combination of sweetness, heat, and fermented depth. Wrapped together inside fresh lettuce or tender napa cabbage, every bite becomes an explosion of contrasting textures and harmonious flavors. The accompanying doenjang jjigae is equally satisfying. The fermented soybean paste creates a deep, aged savoriness that is rich yet mellow, supported by anchovy stock, garlic, and just enough heat from sliced jalapeños. A slightly thickened broth envelopes silky tofu, tender zucchini, onions, and potatoes, creating one of Korean cuisine's most comforting stews. **Eun Daegu Jorim (Braised Black Cod) - $48.99** The braised black cod is another standout. Buttery, flaky pieces of fish are gently simmered in a glossy reduction that perfectly balances savory, sweet, spicy, and umami flavors. Thick chunks of radish slowly absorb the rich braising liquid until they become almost as satisfying as the fish itself. Just before serving, the dish is finished with freshly diced green onions that contribute brightness and a subtle bite to this deeply comforting classic. Service deserves special recognition. Every member of the staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. My family felt immediately at ease from the moment we walked through the door. The servers anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, quietly refilling water glasses and clearing finished plates with thoughtful timing. What impressed me most was the kindness they showed my mother, treating her with genuine warmth, sincere compliments, and the type of hospitality that made us feel less like customers and more like welcomed guests in someone's home. This restaurant beautifully showcases everything that makes Korean comfort food so beloved: slow-cooked recipes made entirely from scratch, deeply flavorful stews, generous portions, exceptional banchan, and heartfelt hospitality. Between the authentic homestyle cooking, robust flavors, and caring service, it has quickly become one of the finest places in the area to experience the warmth and comfort of traditional Korean cuisine.

Dinner was on a Wednesday…read morenight and walking up to it, I was surprised it right next to a restaurant I hear of all the time but never tried. They had a line and I was tempted to go but I wanted traditional Korean food instead of pocha style food. It was kind of quiet around 5:30 but by the time I left most tables were filled up--some people eating solo. My honest take of the food is it's like someone's grandparents made it. I'm not Korean so I appreciate the food. It tasted decent but not made with love and that's the difference. You can kind of tell the workers felt rushed or a bit overwhelmed when people started rolling in. Not the friendliest which doesn't matter too much to me, but it's reflected in the food. Tofu soup with the bone in meat was okay. Meat was good (+$4) but the soup was not boiling hot like I saw other soups come out so overall I'd say it's okay. It had a hard time boiling my egg when I dropped it in. The combo I got came with galbi which was decent. Seafood pancake was decent, could have been crispier. The fish I got on the menu right under mackerel, forgot the name but I wouldn't order it again. Felt kind of dry to me. While I don't regret going I left feeling like I won't be back again.
