Our washer is only 3 years old and seemingly went kaput. I contacted Same-Day Appliance through Yelp and, before I could even get Sears to confirm an appointment, SDA was on their way to our house. After his first attempt at fixing the washer (he was trying to save us $$) it gave out again-- at which time SDA came back to our house. He informed us we needed a new part, but that the fix could be made. The *moment* the part arrived, he called us to ask whether we had time for him to fix the washer immediately. --We did... and he did! It's fixed. So I posted my last review a long time ago. In summary: First 3 times I called, I was blown away by the response time and price. 4th time was a disappointment. (details below) Now, the owner messages me to tell me he was hospitalized during that time. Do I believe him? It doesn't matter, someone should have gotten back to me. Now time has passed and while I cannot give them a 5 star because of that experience, but they don't deserve a 2 or 3. A great experience 1st time. They saved the day. A great experience a 2nd time. My dryer was showing an error code. They came out and looked. They said don't worry until it breaks because it is working. No Charge A great experience a 3rd time. Dryer broke. They came out and gave me a quote. Once they replaced the part, there were other issues which they fixed and didn't charge me extra. Now it is 6 weeks later and the dryer will not heat again. I called them to see if there was some sort of warranty. He said he would call me back on a Wednesday night. Never called. I called and left a message on Thursday and they never called back. Now again on Friday I call and email with no response. Each time I called for service, they answered or responded very quickly. Now that I have a problem with their repair, I hear nothing. Our dryer stopped working properly with two loads of wet laundry to dry. While the drum would turn and air flowed out of the dryer vent, there was no heat. Since it is an older dryer, our first thought was that we needed a new one. But with most of today's appliance seemingly built to break down within a year or two, that was an unappealing prospect. We don't need computer controls on a machine that simply pumps hot air through a turning drum. We used Yelp to find reviews of local appliance repair options. There were many that appeared OK, but only one answered the phone. Asher asked if we wanted it fixed the same day, then offered to come between 1PM and 4PM. Absouletly! He was at our house on time despite snowy and icy roads. He did a quick test and quoted a price before opening up the bottom of the dryer to fully diagnose the issue. In the end, the heating element had gone bad. While he didn't have the part with him, he left his tools and drove back to his shop, returning shortly to finish the repair. Within a couple of hours of calling, we were back in business and able to dry our laundry before it began to stink. Highly recommended. read more

My LG washing machine failed late Friday night. Saturday morning I began attempting to make contact with repair shops who are open on the weekend I emailed Same Day Repair Service first and literally before I was able to make contact with a second business Mr. Dass had replied to my email. Mr Dass gave a 3 hour window for arrival, he texted me at about noon and arrived at 1230, well within his time frame. Mr Dass quickly diagnosed the failure and had the replacement. The machine was up and running within 90 minutes Mr Dass and his assistant were polite, professional and punctial and the price was affordable and more than reasonable, Saturday or not. If there was anything he could have done to improve his business I would suggest investing in an app or card reader in order to accept debit/credit cards; not reason enough lower my rating. This review should be 5 stars but only shows 4????Honesty is very important! The 2 men came in my home with their booties on and at the stated time. After replacing the motor they realized that there were 2 other parts that needed to be replaced. They suggested to me, because the parts would be so exspensive that it would be cheaper to replace my washer. After 2 hours of work, they returned my check. Same Day Appliance repair is a disreputable company. To keep it simple, I put out a request for a dishwasher repair, and received a quote to come out, examine the problem, and provide a solution. Upon visiting my home, the technician said it was a simple fix, ordered the broken part, and billed me for the part. Upon arrival of technician #2 a week later, the technician said the repair could not be completed without a licensed plumber, which they were not. I was then charged for the repair, when none was completed, and told it was company policy to do so. tl;dr I was billed for a repair that as never even completed, and told too bad. Upon reaching out to the company, I was told "No appliance Repair companies work if there are copper or Aluminum water inlet connections." This should have been noted upon the FIRST inspection, and the repair request declined. I reached out multiple times asking for a solution to my problem (partial refund, whatever) and received no response. I had to hire ANOTHER company to do the job, and paid twice for it. ZERO stars, avoid at all costs, and dishonest business practices. Payment extorted for services that were not rendered. Will be filing with the BBB read more

Our oven bottom element self destructed over the weekend. We do not own a microwave and utilize our oven regularly. GE repair could not come for a week and a half. The next repair business I called does not serve Lynnwood. The 3rd business does not service GE appliances. FINALLY I called Same Day Appliances and spoke to Archer. What a relief! He could come and he could service my GE oven. And sure enough! He got it completed! New part installed and tested and we are good to go. Archer was polite, safe and reasonably priced. He shared a few helpful tips to help me prevent more troubles with our oven and I was happy to learn that he services all sorts of appliances! Asher answered the phone and told me that he would be at my house that day between 3:pm and 5:pm. He came at precisely 3:30 with another technician. I was immediately impressed with their demeanor, and their promptness before they entered the kitchen. They diagnosed the problem-ice buildup in the freezer section and got to work immediately after quoting us a reasonable price. The refrigerator was back to normal in an hr and a half. They arrived late in the evening and were willing to work as long as it would take to fix my washer. Their diagnostics were thorough and their price for the house call was reasonable. He said that the kickplate and isolation was not placed correctly when he put it back. Later in the evening, we started a cycle, and 15 minutes later, we saw a puddle under the dishwasher again, and noticed that I could see the isolation down again. I contacted Asher. I heard back from him the next day. He came back Sunday, said, that now it is most likely not the isolation and kickplate but something else. Bear in mind, we paid $440 for the motor to be fixed. Prior to Asher changing the motor, we never had any leaks. Our issue was that the dishwasher was filling with water, draining, and humming, but was not washing. At not point our dishwasher was leaking even when it was broken. So now, Asher said he will pay to change a piece because supposedly it was spraying in the door. 4 days later, Asher comes back and changed the bottom spinner, did not put back the isolation and kickplate we he left. When he got out, I talked with him (I was outside doing yard work). He said that he thought that the spinner was the issue, and that when he tested it, it did leaked a little (litterally his words),but that if it leaks again he cannot do anything else. So, if I resume, we paid $440 to have our motor fixed AND to have it leaked non stop. After my discussion, I came inside, check under the dishwasher. Yes, a puddle was there and still leaking. I give A for effort because Asher did indeed came 3 times to try to fix the leak. But, I give F for results because we spent a lot of money for not being able to use my dishwasher. Our dryer was making an obnoxious squeaking sound with every rotation. We called and they came out working with our schedule. They spent maybe 1.5- 2 hours working on our dryer and it worked great. Until it didn't. Within weeks two screws have popped out with loads of laundry and now the dryer won't spin, just blasts hot air on our clothes. We called on Monday asking them to come back and the person we spoke with said he was driving, but asked us to text him our information so he could look up our invoice and get back to us. We never heard back. We reached out yesterday and today with no word. $280 for a repair that lasted maybe a month. read more

I scheduled installing our four new appliances for Tuesday. Chris Adams and I exchanged several text messages and confirmed the afternoon appointment. The day prior we had the old appliances removed from the home. The new appliances were in the kitchen and ready for the install. All of the electrical was ready. I thought the heating element on my dishwasher had gone out and contacted Same Day to repair it. After performing a diagnostic they found multiple problems with the appliance and suggested I buy a new one as it would cost more to fix it. My dryer stopped heating with a large load of wet clothing and I was dreading attempting to find an appliance repair company during this quarantine period. I called and Asher actually answered the phone and said he would try to come in a few hours but if not would come the next day. 2 hours later Asher and another repair person arrived at my home. Well finally have my dryer fixed properly, no thanks to Same Day Appliance Repair. Back on May 14th my washing machine kept having error codes and my dryer was making aloud screeching sound so I needed it fixed quickly and called a local repair company found on internet. Asher and someone else came out same day, determined that my washer just needed the filter cleaned and the dryer was a belt issue, so they fixed them both. Then by the next day my dryer started to make loud sounds like the drum was off track, called and Asher came out on his own. Well after taking the dryer completely apart (placed drum on hardwood floor scratching it) he determined all 4 drum rollers need to be replaced. After an hour and another charge we thought it was finally fixed, NO it was not. In fact, today when the Sears Appliance Repair person came out I shared what Asher did and said, come to find out the 4 rollers were NEVER REPLACED. This is how warranty repair is supposed to work. My LG side by side refrigerator has a 7 yr warranty on the unit's compressor. Today Appliance Service replaced my compressor, free of cost to me, and my refrigerator/freezer is now working again. This guy is great! Check out his hidden reviews. Of course yelp only shows his 1 bad review and hides the good ones. I too own a business and find the hidden reviews frustrating. That is the only reason I mention it. Our Story: Our refrigerator went out on Christmas, and we called Same Day Appliance Repair on the 26th to have him come out. He was at our home within the time window he gave us. Already giving us a good experience. He was well dressed, clean and polite. He even put on shoe covers to make sure that he did not accidently drag anything onto a carpet. Our fridge was repairable....but not for a reasonable price. The part that our fridge needed was more than $500 dollars, when the same part in other refrigerators brands cost about $100. We know this because he showed us the price comparison. My husband and I asked him for his honest opinion if we should repair or buy a new fridge. Now this person could have done the repair for us and charged us the money for his time and labor, but instead recommended we consider a new refrigerator. He did this because he could not guarantee how long the part would last beyond his 3 month labor warrantee. Now my husband and I are going to look for a new refrigerator. We had a super pleasant experience and we are both so glad we called Same Day Appliance Repair! read more
