I'm finally finding the time to write this review! Our washer's drain pump has been running great…read morefor over a month now. Finding the right service took real effort, but choosing Appliance Fixers was the best decision -- their customer service, repair quality, and expertise were all excellent. For context: the same issue first came up and was fixed between 2021-2022, so this pump lasted about 4 years before failing again. That's decent, but with laundry done almost a few times a week, maybe it was bound to happen. What's more telling is that the date stamped on the broken pump matched our washer's purchase year (2015-2016) -- suggesting the "replacement" part from the first repair may not have actually been new or OEM, which likely caused it to fail again so soon. As for this repair: the first booking couldn't go through since the job needed two people (it's a stacked unit in a tight spot), but rescheduling a day or two later worked out well. The technicians, Sam and Evan, were courteous, knowledgeable, and happy to answer every question and share tips along the way. They confirmed the old pump looked "questionable" -- reinforcing our suspicion that we never got a genuine OEM replacement the first time. While the cost to repair is never cheap, it's about average for the industry -- nothing out of the ordinary. It's money well spent for an experts and manpower needed to properly fix the issue. Sam and Evan were thorough and easy to talk to, making sure everything was fixed properly despite the tricky stacked-unit setup. Highly recommend this team -- hopefully we won't need the same repair again soon, but they're now our go-to for future appliance issues.

I found Appliance Fixers through the Yelp app decided to give them a try. The initial contact was seamless. I was able to book for a next day visit. The appointment reminder is via automated text message and clearly outline the date, time, and my address. Sam was the assigned technician for my appointment and he arrived early, which was very much appreciated. The diagnostic visit was $70 which is applied towards labor if I choose to go with the repairs. Sam found the issue within minutes. It was a faulty lower heating element and prevented the oven from reaching preset temperatures. Sam immediately contacted his office for parts was able to get me a quote for the total repair. Sam also guaranteed OEM parts and highlighted their 90 day warranty on their repairs. He came back the next day and completed the repair, tested the heating element, and ensured everything was to spec. What I really liked about the experience is the response time, friendly technician, fast repair time, and seamless quote and payment process. The pricing was reasonable and there was also no pressure to choose the repair, which I greatly appreciated. Overall, a great experience.

Updating on 9/17:…read more Mike reached out directly to resolve our issue with our fridge after this review posted. His communication was prompt and responsive, he worked to find a solution and then offered to guarantee his work for a year. While I was frustrated with the initial experience, I appreciate a company that will stand by their service and I feel that's what he's done here. I'm updating our review to reflect the effort given; Thank you, Mike. Original review: A nightmare! I decided to go with this company based off of reviews, and now I'm questioning how they got so many positive ones. We had their technician out (Iosif) for the initial diagnostics, trusted his opinion on what the issue was and decided to move forward with the repair. Made an appointment with him for the repair, which he no called/no showed for. I called their main line after the appointment time had passed, to be told that we were not even on the schedule. The technician reached out to say that the "part was delayed"... but apparently notifying us before the appointment was too much work. Said he would be out the next day. He came out, "fixed" the fridge (NOT fixed, no change to the fridge AT ALL) and scratched our wood floors! I asked why he didn't protect the floors when pulling the fridge out and he stated that he "has never needed to before" and tried to claim that the *very new* scratches must have been old. We literally incurred damage having this company into our home. I reached out regarding the floor and the fact that our fridge shows no change after spending hundreds with them... They have not responded to email regarding the floor and have completely blown us off regarding the fridge repair. A complete waste of money that actually left us with more to fix! Do not use this company!

When I contacted them they estimated similar work at $2-300 parts and labor. I don't mind that estimate being wrong, but the reality is they charge $300 minimum for labor, not including parts. It was impossible for the job to be less than $300, so why was the estimate less?

I hate to do this, but the situation warrants it. I called A Appliance Repair because the washer at…read moremy rental property wouldn't start. They seemed to have decent reviews and were able to get to the house sooner than any other company so I went with them. The first appointment was for Sunday January 18th with a window from 10am-12pm. This was to diagnose the issue. The tech Dmitrii didn't show up until 12:45pm. Things happen so I wasn't too concerned about him showing up late at this time. I was told Dmitrii had diagnosed the issue and I was sent an invoice and needed to put down a 50% deposit in order to move forward with the repair. He didn't have the part on hand so we had to schedule for another day. The second appointment was set for Tuesday January 20th with a window of 6pm - 8pm. I got a message from Dmitrii at 8:01pm saying he was having car troubles and could no longer make the appointment. A little shocked that he just learned of his car troubles a minute AFTER my appointment window but okay. We rescheduled for him to go out to the house the following day. The third appointment was set for Wednesday January 21st with a window from 6pm-8pm. He showed up within the window this time at 6:40pm however, he was unable to fix the issue. Dmitrii told my tenant the day he "diagnosed" the issue that it was either the actuator or the transmission (I had no idea about this because the invoice I received was for the actuator so naturally I assumed that's what needed to be repaired). So he left and I called in to see what was going on. I thought that the whole point of a diagnosis was to figure out what the issue was. I was told he may have gotten a faulty part and would like to go back out to the house to try and fix the issue. The fourth appointment was set for Thursday January 22nd with a window time of 4pm-6pm. I get a text from my tenant at 6:01pm that Dmitrii has not shown up yet again. At this point, Im extremely frustrated with this tech. Not only has he been late, not shown up to an appointment, misdiagnosed the issue, but he's wasted a lot of my tenants time as well as mine. He finally shows up at 7:23pm almost a whole hour and a half late, but again does not fix the issue. When he didn't show up on time this night, I was able to speak to the owner and before Dmitrii showed up he let me know that if the issue isn't fixed I will get a full refund so that was nice. Moral of the story, I ended up ordering a new washer and will never call A Appliance again. I feel like o failed my tenants by calling this company and leaving them without a washer for over a week now since we have to wait a couple of days for the new washer to arrive. I wouldn't have been so frustrated if the tech communicated better, or at all. Every time he was late I had to call, no messages from him to give us a heads up. My suggestion is if you want something done in a timely manner, go elsewhere.

I've now used Fast Appliance Repair on three separate occasions, primarily for more involved…read morerepairs on our Electrolux washer and dryer involving control boards and electronics. At this point, I feel comfortable recommending them without hesitation. The biggest differentiator for me has been responsiveness. In all three instances, Fast Appliance Repair was the first company to reply, the quickest to schedule, and the clearest in terms of communication. They provide an upfront diagnostic quote, and if you move forward with the repair, that cost is applied toward the work itself. It makes it easy to understand the economics before committing. Their scheduling and communication have also been excellent. They provide arrival windows, call roughly 30 minutes before showing up, and, in my experience, have always arrived within the promised window. In a world where many service companies seem to operate on a "sometime between breakfast and dinner" schedule, that reliability is appreciated. Pricing has consistently been competitive after obtaining multiple bids, and the repair quality has been solid. I've worked with two different technicians, and both have been professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Roosevelt, in particular, was outstanding. They were respectful of our home, careful around flooring and carpets, and patient working around kids and a dog running through the house. There are plenty of appliance repair companies out there, but Fast Appliance Repair has earned my repeat business by doing the basics exceptionally well: responding quickly, communicating clearly, showing up when they say they will, charging fair prices, and fixing the problem correctly the first time. If you need washer, dryer, or other appliance repairs, I'd happily recommend giving them a call. -AC
