Food was decent -- nothing special. The seared tuna tasted like it had been previously frozen. The shrimp appetizer was crispy but pretty standard. On the bright side, the beer was fresh and cold. Service was fine overall, although the bartender spent a bit too much time chatting with others instead of staying focused. Not a bad place, just not amazing.

There are not many restaurants in this immediate location, so was pleased to find this spot. We got an amazing table outside, with a gorgeous view. The service was super slow, drinks were never refilled. I had the scallop risotto and my friend had the seafood alfredo. The dishes were average, nothing special at all for the cost. Lacked flavor. I'd rate this as a mediocre spot, but convenient if you are staying in the area. Update, the service and food were much better the second trip. The waiter was very outgoing and stayed on top of providing excellent service. The outdoor patio is a treat in itself, great views.

I chose Sam Snead's Grill for my Father's Day celebration. Easy to find location at the Lely Resort, great table, great server (David), great food. The surroundings are such fun for golf fans, like a Sam Snead museum. I had a hamburger, cooked to order. Mine was cooked perfectly. Fries were crispy and tasty. Deb had fish and chips, also prepared perfectly. My only wish is for more coleslaw sauce and flavor, but that is easily correctable. And BTW, 20% off during the summer off season! Two thumbs up.

The establishment is open to the public just in case anyone was wondering. I went in and sat at the bar. The bartender was attentive and got my order in and out. The food was ok, nothing special. I don't know if it was because it was during lunch hours and the menu is not as versatile, but I ordered the fish and chips, jumbo shrimp cocktail, and a beer. The fish was lacking a bit of seasoning. Everything else was great. The shrimp with the cocktail sauce was great, the french fries were great, and the coleslaw was great. The ambiance was ok, the look of it all was really vintage. What you'd think a club house would look like in the 90s. There's nothing wrong with that, but just giving my honest opinion. I hope to try the dinner menu in the near future.

After my experience on Thursday, February 12th, that's over. At 6:05 PM, I placed a small online order (mozzarella sticks, a calzone, and a sandwich) through their website, as I always do. Estimated pickup: 29 to 34 minutes. I arrived at 6:41 with my wife and kids in the car. Food wasn't ready, but "five more minutes." Fine. Five turned into twenty. Twenty turned into forty. During that time, I watched the staff take phone orders and quote every customer "20 to 25 minutes," no matter the order size. When I asked what the holdup was, the staff, who were genuinely doing their best, explained that new kitchen staff were struggling. My son was starving, so I left to grab him food elsewhere and came back about 30 minutes later, confident my order would be waiting. It wasn't. At 7:35 PM, ninety minutes after placing a three-item order, nothing was ready. I asked the staff why they were still quoting 20-minute turnarounds when the reality was 90+ minutes. I suggested they pause online ordering to let the kitchen recover. They told me the owner, Jared Grifoni, has instructed them to keep online orders on and to continue telling customers 20 minutes, despite knowing the kitchen is nowhere close to meeting that timeline. That's not a bad night. That's a policy decision to mislead customers for the sake of revenue. I requested a refund. As it was being processed, two of my three items finally came out. When the staff asked the kitchen about the last item, the answer was: "I have no idea when we'll get to that." I left at 7:46 PM, one hour and forty-one minutes after ordering. To be clear: the staff on the floor that night are not to blame. They were put in a no-win situation and handled it as well as anyone could. The issue is ownership making a conscious choice to overload the kitchen, deceive customers about wait times, and let the staff absorb the fallout. When I arrived, the restaurant was nearly full. When I left, it was almost empty. I won't be adding myself to either count again.

Steve made my hot sub ( I like that they have both hot and cold options) . The Commodore was quite tasty and very filling. It is fine for a really nice sandwich, but it is somewhat pricey. I almost forgot to add that Steve said the bread is imported from Canada and baked fresh daily! It was soooo good. Meat to bread ratio was also excellent.

Unseasoned tuna, with cheap, flavorless, industrial provolone. -The chips were actually the strongest thing in the bag. I could acquiesce if the sandwiches were memorable. Alas, they were not. YCS calls itself a "...new type of upscale sandwich shop." What does that mean, exactly? High prices. Quality seems not to be much of a consideration. Blatant rip off, even by Naples standards.

Heard they had some crazy sandwiches. Located inside a strip mall, parking was relatively easy. The decor inside was punk grunge style I would say. I asked for what their top sellers were and they directed me towards "The Twang". Which was sliced chicken breast with honey mustard, onions, American cheese and crushed bbq chips. I was told the way to get it was toasted and so that's how I got it. It was a good sandwich or hoagie but I'm not sure if maybe I'm spoiled from living in Miami but crushing chips and putting it on a sandwich is not what I would consider creative. And I thought $15 for a 12 inch without a soda or a side seemed a bit much. Staff were friendly and the place was clean. And hats off to whoever calibrated the soda machine. It was perfect balance of syrup and gas. Overall it's a good spot but nothing I would rave about.

Located in a shopping strip this small little shop is pumping out big big flavors and amazing quality. First of all I knew I was in good hands when I saw a simple menu and I also heard the stop serving when they run out of buns. Means things are fresh and they don't cut corners. Inside decor is all Philly as expected. They also have a easy 6 step ordering process which I love. No F'ing around. I ordered cheesesteak with no seeded bun and originally I had asked for whiz and who I believe was the owner suggested I go with their Cooper brand Cheddar. I was glad I took that advise. The cheesesteak was perfection. One bite and I literally had to take a minute to compose myself. It was like I was transported to Philly. To say that I devoured it is an understatement. I had to refrain myself from buying another one for later. It was simply amazing. The meat. The bread. The cheese. Everything tasted like quality and you could also taste the passion and love. Not only am I recommending it to everyone when in Naples. I am telling people you gotta get to Naples to try this. Easy 5 stars.

5+ Star Review for Mercato Italiano…read more From the moment you walk into Mercato Italiano, you know you have found something special. This is not just a café. It is an experience that brings authentic Italian flavor and warmth right into the heart of Naples. Let me start with the espresso. The flavor was rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. You can taste the quality in every sip. It had that true Italian profile, bold but never bitter, and it set the tone for everything that followed. Now the food. I ordered a croissant sandwich, and it was nothing short of exceptional. The croissant itself was fresh out of the oven, light, flaky, and buttery in all the right ways. Inside, I had two sunny-side-up eggs cooked just right, paired with prosciutto, bacon, and ham. The combination of flavors was incredible. Every bite gave you a perfect mix of savory, rich, and slightly salty notes, all brought together by that warm, delicate croissant. What really stood out was the presentation. This was not just a sandwich thrown on a plate. It was carefully arranged on a platter, clean, inviting, and done with pride. You can tell they care about every detail. The atmosphere completes the experience. The energy inside is welcoming, relaxed, and full of character. It feels like a place where people come not just to eat, but to slow down, connect, and enjoy the moment. Whether you are stopping in for a quick espresso or sitting down for a full breakfast, the environment makes you want to stay. The experience was outstanding along with the service that made you feel like Family. If you are anywhere near Naples, this is a must-visit. Mercato Italiano delivers on flavor, presentation, and experience at the highest level. This is easily a 5-plus star spot, and a place I will return to again without hesitation.

The seafood selection on the menu felt limited. I expected more variety for a coastal restaurant. Appetizers were decent but did not stand out. The salmon carpaccio looked nice and tasted as expected, but the flavor was fairly simple. The frutti de mar had good flavor and the seafood was cooked properly. The sauce worked well and did not overpower the dish. The portion was disappointing for the price. The dish cost $52 dollars and only included three scallops and three shrimp. The rest of the seafood was mostly clams and mussels. I substituted angel hair instead of linguine which helped keep the dish lighter. The chicken Madeira looked great but the flavor was mild. With a stronger sauce or seasoning it could easily be an excellent dish. The kids meals were a win. The chicken tenders and pasta kept them happy and the portions were solid. Overall experience was good mainly because of the service and presentation. Some dishes need stronger flavor and the seafood portions could match the price better. Still a pleasant dinner spot on Marco Island.
