Was so excited to try this place but was very disappointed. The chicken salad was just flat out bad and the Italian sub just wasn't for me.

Update on my take home of the lasagna and Spanish ravioli. Ravioli was good. The wife complained the pasta was a little thick, but I was ok with it. For $12 you get 16 pieces. Plenty for 2-3 people. The lasagna. This might be my biggest disappointment this year. Lasagna is one of my favorite dishes, I don't know if I've ever had one I couldn't finish... until this day. I dunno, maybe the beef went bad? At first I thought it was the cheese. I was confused, it had a chemical smell to it. I was thinking maybe this is some exotic Italian cheese they put on top, but when I isolated the ingredients to try to figure out what was giving off the smell and taste, it ended up being the meat. The ingredients said "beef" but I've never had beef taste like this before. I've literally never thrown out lasagna up until this point. I tried to power through it, but stopped after eating about 20%. The thought of taking another bite still haunts me. I was really hoping I was going to love this place. So sad. read more

I was very disappointed today at the store off airport pulling road. While the quality of the products are very good the staff had no clue the delivery business or practice customer service. Two glaring problems was that they charge sales tax on their raw Italian sausage as they feel it was made on premises. They of course are wrong and also they slice the Citterio soprasatta natural casing and leave the casing on each slice claiming that it is too hard to take off (it's easy) and is edible. Exceptional food and exceptional service! We had a party for 30 people at my house. Neapolitan Gourmet catered the event. We had their sausages and onions; pesto pasta; meatballs and a charcuterie platter. They delivered the food at the required time and it arrived HOT and ready to serve. Ordering was easy. They have a store in Bonita Springs near where I live, it was on my list to try and today was the day. It smelled great in there as I walked in and I was immediately greeted by 2 friendly guys behind the counter. I ordered the Italian sub because of all the rave reviews. YUM! I agree with every one of them, this is a very good sandwich and it is as big as all the pictures show. I got a a half to take home and just had half of that for lunch and I will finish it for dinner. I ordered it as they make it, no changes. The bread is fresh with a crunchy crush and a slight chew, the meat was piled on, the finishing with lettuce tomato, vinegar, etc. really added great flavors. I've only had the sandwiches but it's for sure the yummiest deli sandwich I've found so far in town! Delicious bread, fresh and a little hard in the outside. They fill it so full of meats it's hard to get your mouth around in one bite. Meat is shaved on the spot to order. Always the same people working when I've been so far. This is the best place to get a tasty hero/hoagie in Naples. They've been here for almost 3 decades. A cute little place in a strip mall (that's where all the good places are). There are also some nice sides, take home meals like lasagna, and a fully stocked deli with in house made sausages. My order of a full size Italian hero(they're specialty), and a tub of pasta salad came quickly. The whole sub- which I could only eat a 1/4, was only $15. What a deal for Naples! I did not come for their famous sandwiches I came for the deli. I noticed in the pictures of this place before I came they had a deli case with Italian sausages, cheese, and other delights. I wanted to by mortadella sausage but that will wait till another day. I purchased two Italian sausages with fennel seeds and two Italian sausages with spice to make it hot. The sausages are huge hangs out both ends of a hotdog bun. When I cook Italian sausages I usually grill them then I put them in a dish with BBQ sauce. I did not do this with these as I wanted to taste them without any embellishment. These sausages are made in the store and were very good. However if I cook them again I will go back to letting them simmer in BBQ sauce. They have "rope sausage" which I would love to try one day as it harkens back to my youth and how Italian sausages were prepared. However I could not make out what was in the sausages to make a choice. I think we are darn lucky to have a shop like this in Naples. read more

I got a full chicken Parmesan sub. The bread is delicious. The service was good. But the chicken cutlet was diced up into small chunks. Why?? The chicken tasted old, was too chewy, and incredibly dry! It came with very little sauce and melted cheese. For $16.50 I thought I was going to be amazed.
