    Duck rice
    Veronica G.

Ordered the duck rice, which was perfectly portioned for one person. The duck could have been a bit more tender, but the flavor was very good. Service was friendly and attentive, and the DJ added a great touch to the lively atmosphere.

Located upstairs this rooftop in midtown is worth checking out .I'm literally obsessed with this place! The music, vibes, and drinks are all 10/10 - house music is jamming and the energy is amazing. The Asian tapas menu is on point, featuring sushi rolls and those insane pork bau buns (we ordered seconds!) that just melt in your mouth. The sushi roll and crispy rice were hitting the spot too! Pricey, but honestly, the atmosphere is worth every penny. Their sangria? Prepared with love and expertise, and I'm here for it. I love that they put thought into the drinks. Parking can easily be found street spots or valet, super convenient. Now, the service can be a tad slow, but I get it, they're slammed! Still, I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Came here for drinks and sushi. Will definitely return for drinks, service was good and the ambience was just what we needed!

We've been coming here for years - basically anytime we are in Miami (at least once a year), it is an obligatory visit. Rooftop restaurant - which feels sooo good with the Miami heat! There is a DJ spinning house music, and the service is always on par. My usual favs include the salmon with crispy rice, kampachi tiradito, shishito, fried rice, and NY strip. The matcha and cacao are amazing desserts - order the matcha ahead of time as it takes 25 mins to make.

A SOLID CHOICE!! Food - 5 Service - 5 Ambience - 5 Price quality - 5 Drinks - 5+ This is my happy hour place to go. I'm so glad I'm neighbors with Salvaje, and have the privilege to stop by at any day or time when I'm free to always take advantage of their unbeatable happy hours. Drinks are as solid as they could be, and most of them at $10 during happy hour. Their porn star and smoky margaritas are my favorite cocktails here and I can't recommend them more. For the food options, edamame, shishito peppers, rainbow roll, spice salmon roll and their best in class salmon crispy rice are all great options for bites. Their service is top notch. Ambience and vibes are so on point. All in all, this is a gem and I recommended 100%. Enjoy!

Went there for Miami spice. The view is absolutely amazing especially if you are there during the sunset hours. Food was pretty decent too. I loved the seabass. And the yuzu pie! It was tart, just the way I like it! As for service, it was okay. Servers were always busy talking to each other and not paying attention to their customers. We often had to raise our hand to get their attention. I saw another table doing the same too. Bonus points - the music they play!! I loved loved loved the music.

Do pick Salvaje for your Miami rooftop Japanese restaurant experience! You won't regret it. The ambiance is on the exotic side with fabulous decor as you enter. There is so much to look at all around you. Many photo ops are available. We were seated in the middle of the rooftop and still were able to enjoy the view of Midtown. Our server was Camilo, and he took good care of us. He knew the menu well and made good recommendations to us. We each ordered the skirt steak with potato and salad, and it was brought to us on a personal grill. We loved it. The avocado slices were delicious, too. For drinks, we tried the Sea of Love ($22) and the Colada Salvaje ($22). Both were excellent! As other reviewers have mentioned, we also felt uncomfortable by the Salvaje rule or tradition, that we needed to leave within and hour and a half of being served dinner to make room for the next dining guests. You weren't exactly pushed out, but there were hints to that effect. The more guests, the more money made each day. We have never experienced this type of behavior at a Miami restaurant. Therefore, I had to deduct one star. There is valet parking as well as street parking. Wheelchair accessible entrance.

Salvaje is located on the 7th floor of the HYDE in Midtown. The ambiance is perfect for a birthday dinner or date night. For drinks we had the Oyuwari, Ikigai and the Porn Star Salvaje, I must say they were absolutely delicious and perfectly balanced. Food was good overall, the lamp was cooked perfectly, it melts in your mouth. The Rock Shrimp tempera it was crispy in every bite and the Octopus was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Not impressed by the Steak Salvaje, it was bland and chewy. The side of potatoes were cold and too greasy. The cacao Salvaje was not rich enough for a chocolate mousse. The service is great, staff is attentive and they also have dancers performing. Golden Hour is from 6pm-8pm Sunday- Thursday Cocktails 11+ Sushi 10+ Small bites 8+ I would come back to try their happy hour.

Took myself on a solo sunset date on a Friday night while visiting Miami and it was so delightful. Very friendly staff, great cocktails and that sunset didn't disappoint.

Salvaje is great for groups. The rooftop vibe is super cute. We came and it was pouring but they have areas to sit under covering so you can avoid the Miami random downpour. The sushi was yummy and so were the apps. Unfortunately I did not love any of the specialty drinks we tried. We had a group of 10 so w tried a bunch. I just ended up sticking to a good ol' faithful margarita and that worked. Oh.. the bathrooms are a good distance from the actual restaurant so be prepared for a little bit of a walk ladies in those heels. Wait staff was on top of cleaning up the table and checking in. Always a plus.

Very nice after work vibe, went on a Wednesday and it was ladies night so I got a few free drinks. We shared some apps and got to sit in a very nice cabana, the server accommodates us and put a table by us for the drinks. I would surely be coming back!!!

Impromptu happy hour stop which was awesome because their golden hour ends at 8 pm which is pretty generous for a Friday night. The interior design and decor is amazing - really well done, picturesque - Tulum vibes. Our bartender was very attentive - they actually had a ton of people on staff so service was pretty great here. I wouldn't say the happy hour prices were ground shattering but reasonable for midtown. I had 2 margaritas (one spicy) which were really good. Their shishito peppers I highly recommend they come in this addicting glaze. I had their truffle dinamite roll for $10 which was 4 pieces. For HH small bites I was pretty pleased. I'd definitely return! This is such a hidden gem.

Made reservations for 9:00pm (Saturday) upon arrival we were greeted by the hostesses but we waited about 15 mins for our table even with a reservation. Henry was our waiter and he was exceptional - knowledgeable with the menu items and recommended several dishes from the menu. The drinks were delicious - I got 'Sea of Love'. Appetizers we got the short ribs buns (chefs kiss), sadly it was only 2. Then for dinner we ordered Wagyu Beef fried rice, and Wagyu Skirt Steak. The fried rice was like no other. Full of flavor and not too filling. The steak was cooked to perfection (medium). For dessert, I ordered the coconut tres leche which was small (not shareable). It was moist and all the flavors complemented each other. I would've given it a 5 stars if we didn't have to wait to be seated even with reservations. Would recommend for a nice date or a girls night out.

When I came last weekend the vibes were great, it was just extremely packed to the point that everyone was grinding up against each other. Which in that moment I didn't care because I figured it's at capacity and that's normal. Although, I realized when I was leaving the bar that someone had opened my purse and taken my entire wallet. I was bummed because I couldn't continue partying up the night. This led me to message them on Instagram, which was great because they told me to come in and drinks would be on them for the inconvenience. We got to the bar and I spoke with the bouncer and he said to go to the bartenders, that they would direct me to Rensel the bar manager. He was absolutely lovely, provided my friends and I a round of cocktails and told us to look for Sophia for another round. We didn't end up getting another round because we were exhausted from dancing the night away. It was still very nice and accommodating that they did that and we appreciated it. Sophia was very bubbly and attentive as well. Overall, if you are looking for a bar with a disco ball!! This is a cool spot to come to, they have so many different specialty cocktails. We arrived on time for our reservation made for "INSIDE SEATING" (note you will have to pay to make a reservation.) The unfriendly hostess walked us to an outdoor table - that despite the multitude of fans - was humid and uncomfortable. When I told her we didn't want a table outside it seemed to bother her and her response: we are really full I won't promise you anything (eye roll) and she proceeds to walk back through the aisle of empty tables to the front desk. Behind us was a couple who arrived AFTER we did. And can you believe they were escorted without an issue to the upstairs INSIDE SEATING dining area - to the very tables they apparently did not have for us!!! I have to wonder if this was profiling or she just didn't like our face? Guess not all guest are created equal here. Forced to seat us inside after my husband showed her the reservation for INSIDE seating she "accommodates" us downstairs next to the bathrooms in a tight miniature table on uncomfortable plastic wicker chairs between two large groups where we couldn't get out of our seat and had the view of a water damaged ceiling over our heads. After what seemed like quite a while the waiter (poor guy) came to greet us. Now this was the only highlight of this erroneous Michelin Star establishment. He seemed overworked with all the tables in that area but was polite attentive and funny. So pleasant that I wonder why he's working in this place. I had to ask for the bread that never came on its own. The drinks were ok. The food: Lobster - the pastry was soggy on the bottom and tasted slightly burnt on the outer crispy corners. The lobster was well cooked and the sauce was good but nothing spectacular. Hanger steak - the steak was very good - cooked exactly as ordered (medium rare). The sweet potato cakes crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside and the mushroom were cooked to perfection. Wish there was more of it, you get 2 sweet potato cakes the size of a strip of gum and 3 mushrooms slices. The halibut - hands down the most delicious thing on the menu. The fish was fresh and the caviar sauce was really exceptional - wish I had a spoon. Chocolate caramel - The dessert was a mix of flavor the chocolate has a tangy taste, the ice cream on the bottom was a nice surprise, however it left much to be desired - we left half on the plate. All in all the front of the house sets the tone and the horrid attitude of the hostess and the way she refused to sit us upstairs in our reserved requested dining area, soured our experience from the start. My understanding is that a Michelin Star is a highly sought status that entails the full experience of a dining establishment and I'm sorry to say they should rethink giving Le Jardinier this award in the future. Don't come here.
