The restaurant is very big outside and shaded very well. Lots of picnic tables out there. There were a lot of people but did not feel crowded at all. The girls had a blast. You sit inside or out. Large screens and an area for music. Staff said they have music in the evenings. The menu is large and has something for everyone. I had a pizza, my husband had wings, and my daughter's family had the crawfish and shrimp boil. One of the parents had the steak and they let me try it. It was amazing. Everything was fantastic and everyone loved their food ( not one complaint) We had 12 girls and each of their families. So a lot of people. Service was great, waitresses for very efficient & nice as well as bus service. I was VERY impressed with the speed of the food. The only downfall was they did not give refills on tea or sodas. Also they did double and triple charge many of the families. ( but it was corrected quickly ) It was a little pricey & it's the alcohol. For my husband and I, our bill was $75 (personal pizza, wings, a ranchwater, beer& 1 tea.) So all in all we enjoyed it very much & it will be our go-to spot when we play out this way. Didn't hurt that our granddaughter's team came in 1st. We enjoyed Conroe very much. The people were so nice everywhere we went.

It took a guy to come help us out on a makeshift fly repellant to make our experience a little better. Server was not attentive at all and was worried about other things I guess. This place would be much better if they changed their kid policy, had fans outside and had better waitresses.

Come to find out days before our trip that Southern Star has decided to shut down at the end of June. Sad to see one of Texas' oldest breweries closing down. I had to get here before they did because their beers are great. It's right off 45 and easy to find tucked away off a side road. The grounds are beautiful as well as the building itself. The inside taproom isn't large but the building itself is so I'm wondering they have more hangout spaces. They also have a nice deck where a lot of people were hanging out. Customer service was great. Most everyone in our crew got a flight so we could try a few things. Prices here are excellent and won't break the bank. That's what I love most about breweries. I went with the Strawberry Blonde, Southern Brunch (citrus shandy), Texas Lager, and Pit Stop (cherry cider). I really enjoyed them all especially the Southern Brunch. My friends ordered some apps for the table such as fried pickles, fried mushrooms and waffle fries. They came out piping hot and were all tasty. I saw some pizzas leaving the kitchen and they looked excellent. They also had deals on whole cases of beer for 20 bucks. Killer deal that my friend took advantage of. Sad to see this place is closing. Great breweries are a dying breed from what I have read. If these places weren't so far I would support them more. I wish everyone in the company well and hopefully see them come back in the future.

Southern Space was down a tree lined road kind of in the woods in a very nice space. I didn't get to see what the outside area was like (If there was one) but I did see they had a large front porch to hang out at. We got here around 8 or 9 pm and I ordered my usual flight. The place was happening; country music was playing which is not to my taste but at least it wasn't quiet. My flight consisted of a Bombshell Blonde, a Bombshell Hefeweizen, Bombshell Smash IPA, and a Valkyrie (DIPA). Why isn't this place just called Bombshell brewing? Anyway. The beers were all decent but nothing that wow'd me. If I had to pick a favorite, it would probably have been the Hefe. They had a kitchen onsite serving up burgers, pizzas and all the fried apps that places usually do. Unfortunately, we had already eaten so I can't really report on that.

We had a group of 10 on a Thursday evening and were the only customers on the patio for most of our visit. I want to make it clear that our waitress was excellent. She was attentive, hardworking, and did her best despite being repeatedly let down by the kitchen and management. Several orders were prepared incorrectly. A steak ordered "as rare as possible" arrived medium-well. It was remade, but still was not cooked as requested. My catfish platter was strangely lukewarm, while another guest described her catfish as rubbery. An order of fish and chips arrived without the chips. A pizza ordered with bacon, pepperoni, and onions came with grilled onions that were not requested, and the bacon smelled and tasted off. Another guest ordered loaded potatoes as her entire meal. Without warning, she was charged $8 for what was described as a double portion, even though she never requested a double order. What arrived appeared to be approximately one cup of roasted potatoes and did not look like a double serving or a complete meal. When we asked to speak with a manager, Andi told us that she had to answer to the kitchen manager and could not address the charge. She then said she was busy and walked away without offering a solution. When I attempted to explain the problems from this visit and the previous week, I was told that the owner, Teek, is usually at the newest location except on Tuesdays, is difficult for the staff to reach, and that I would need to find him myself rather than having management take my contact information and request that he call me. Restaurants make mistakes, but repeated incorrect orders, questionable food quality, missing items, unexplained charges, and dismissive management are not a single mistake. They are a pattern. Our waitress deserved much better support, and our group deserved food prepared as ordered and concerns handled professionally. After two bad experiences in a row, Pacific Yard House has permanently lost our business.

Popped in for an early dinner with the Missus the other day. The menu is varied and spans Mexican to creole to American to basic steaks. I ordered the Buffalo Sauce chicken sammie on a sourdough bun with fries. The Missus had a tater with queso and a Coke Zero. As usual, the chicken sammie was messy as all get out and I almost thought about using a knife and fork to hack apart this tasty meal. It was savory, tender and spiced well enough to stand on its own without the bun and fixins. As for the meal, we had more than enough to sate our appetite.
