You step inside and transition from strip mall to an authentic British pub! Lots of great local and British beers. The menu is limited, but well prepared pub food. The only thing missing is a proper fish and chips. Service was very helpful and attentive without being annoying. We immediately felt at home. There are dart boards and pool tables and great little seating alcoves to hang out. One note, Golden Retriever does allow smoking. It didn't bother us as we sat in a different part of the pub.

I would have given this place 4 stars if not for the owner…read more Let me explain. Service is good, limited food items (hence the possible four star) but very good food. The owner is over bearing. I came here to have a good night and play a little pool maybe some darts. I had a couple drinks and some good chips and salsa, but when it came time for pool the owner began telling me that "I should just give up" a few times in a row. She (a short blonde woman that is a little thick) continued to tell me I had no chance of winning and so I only told her that I was there to have fun. She had also obviously had enough drinks for the night. After my first game I had learned a few things and I went on to my second game. By this time I was doing a little better, but I still lost. At the end of the game, the owner came by to remind me of pool etiquite, then continued to remind me exactly 7 times after I told her that I had forgotten the rule that once. She then told me 3 times that I was "obviously inexperienced". I would have stayed a lot longer if not for her bringing me down after I told her I was just trying to have fun and learn. Owner should be less drunk and not there. Not going back.

On special occasions they do food. just ask. Restrooms clean and stocked. Karaoke on certain days. Smoking allowed. It's a small low key great for conversation where you don't have to talk over a packed crowed. Come check it out!
