Nice views. The two drinks I had, Rosa Paloma and White Cosmo, were quite good. The Paloma was a refreshing summer drink. Loved the sugar rim. I had the cheeseburger with Brussel sprouts. Juicy, flavorful burger. Crispy, tasty Brussels. My mom had a plain hamburger which she also enjoyed. Our server was also very attentive. And I appreciated that the bartender walked my mom to the restroom.

I don't know why but I was expecting more out of my visit to Saltgrass. The place was mediocre in decor and food. Our server was attentive and did provide great service. The views are nice. The food itself was disappointing. Other Saltgrass locations have better reviews. I would visit a different location before going back to this one.

First time trying saltgrass and Brandon really made the experience delightful! He's very attentive and his hospitality was top tier! Thank you Brandon!

My mom and I just had lunch at Saltgrass Steak House. The place is right at the Kemah Boardwalk, very nice and inviting restaurant. Nice music. We had a oceanview, pretty sweet. As you seat down you get a small loaf of bread, with sweet butter., very good. My mom ordered a Top Sirloin Steak, with green beans and a Caesar Salad; I ordered a Grilled Pork Chop. Zane was our waiter, he was fantastic. My mom's steak was grilled to perfection, the green beans were very well seasoned, and the Caesar Salad was great, very good dressing and croutons. My grilled pork chop was super tender, and juicy, great flavor; I also had the Brussels sprouts, they were really tasty and tender. Good experience today at Saltgrass Steak House.

We dined tonight at the Saltgrass at Kemah! We had friends in town visiting from California. Zayne was amazing. The food is always great but Zayne really made the night special! Thank you again Saltgrass if you go there ask for Zayne and get the range rattlers!!

Great Food and Shannon provided excellent service & what a beautiful view of the Bay The Country Breakfast is so good & sausage gravy

Great view

Stopped in for their weekend breakfast and was pleasantly surprised with the calm ambiance and great view. All the staff said good morning as we were walked to our table and the food was delicious! Don't sleep on this breakfast! Best we have had in a long time. Very reasonable prices. Shannon our waitress was great. The manager came by and checked on us. Very nice. We will return

Food was delicious. Waiter was very attentive. She let us know about the various new drinks.

Waiting over an hour for our food

Went in with my family of 5. Took a while to get seated, off season so I guess thats understandable, but when multiple tables that got seated and ordered after you get their food before you, it's a little upsetting. Waited over an hour to receive our food. When I asked my waiter why everyone else was getting their food, I was told "the kitchen is busy." Later I was told by someone else that the order wasn't put in until later. Own up to your mistakes instead of making excuses. I was expecting way better service after that, but it was always hard to get any help. After all of this, too add insult to hanger....I was offered a free desert...pretty insulting with how long we had to wait. I would have left if my kids weren't starving. I would've let this slide, and not made this review...but this was a trip where I was expecting to make memories with my family on rides not waiting over an hour for some food with a free desert. Would give this a 1 star but food was actually good.

We really love eating here at the Longhorn when we come to town. The food is always on point, fresh and cooked to perfection. I usually always order the bone in Ribeye medium rare with a fully loaded baked potato and a dinner salad. They have never missed the mark. My wife is in love with the Parmesan Crusted Chicken. She usually prefers grilled veggies with hers and a dinner salad. I've tasted it and it really is good, I just prefer beef over chicken. Sometimes we'll order an appetizer of the Wild West Shrimp that are really great!!! We usually always have tea as our drinks. Our 9 year old prefers their Cheeseburger with just catsup on it and he's very happy with that and the side fries and a Coke. The wait staff are always very courteous and very helpful with what ever your needs may be. Another big thing is just the nice ambience there is here at the Longhorn!!! We always enjoy our visits and the views here are great too!!

Rustic Texas decoration

I was seated right away,Great waitress, the potato soup was delicious. Steak was good but a little dry, that's what you get when you order the sirloin med. conclusion: your going to get a pretty good meal at a reasonable price with good service.

Food came out a bit slow, they were busy but not jammed packed or full. Perhaps they were short handed but more about that later. For an appetizer the waitress recommended the Armadillo eggs, yep, good choice. Brisket stuffed in a jalapeños, delicious. Four in one order was plentiful for just the two of us! Our entrées were the SOS burger (brisket burger with cheese) with macaroni & cheese and a chicken fried steak with green beans & fries. Both were good choices, I judge a place based in mac n cheese & theirs was good! The green beans did relief to our heavy plates, lol. As I said at the beginning, service was kind of slow. Drinks were refilled at the end & we were right on the side where the staff walks through all the time. The wait staff was so down to earth, but I'd say maybe over worked? When I went to to the restroom there were three staff members complaining about call outs & how they needed to stay, as I was washing my hands a fourth member joined in with the same sentiments. They weren't rude to me or anything, they were courteous but seemed super stressed. I hope they are treated well!

We came here recently for a Sunday lunch. Fortunately, there were only a handful of patrons here when we arrived (around 11:30). Within 30 minutes, the dining room was full, and we couldn't hear each other talk. I remember experiencing the same thing when this joint was known as Opus Bistro several years ago. Despite the noise, the dining room still offers an excellent view of the canal and the people pulling up on their boats. Again, the food here is OK. Nothing more. In fact, it was quite reminiscent of a Fertita-owned restaurant with lines of delivery trucks from Sysco and Gordon's lined up at the loading dock. More specifically, the coconut shrimp came out crispy with not much flavor beyond the cloyingly sweet sauce served alongside. The fries are battered. Not my bag, though they arrived at the table hot and crispy. (Since when do crispy fries need batter?!?) The tacos were average. Not bad, but nothing different than you would get at most other places. Same with the Caesar salad and crispy Brussels sprouts. The crab bisque tasted tomatoey. That's not a deal breaker, but I expect a garlicky, buttery broth that has been thickened with heavy cream. Not the case here, as this was flour-thickened with inexpensive ingredients. And the amount of crab was negligible. Those *are* deal breakers. The beer selection is fine here. And, again, the service was really good on our visit. Bottom Line: I totally want local businesses to succeed. But my money is also hard-earned, and I want the food to taste local and to be made with high-quality ingredients. When it doesn't -- and this place doesn't -- I might as well grab a Groupon and go to Red Lobster.

Michael our server was top notch and paid attention. Timing and delivery were spot on. Only gripe is that their by the glass sparkling wine is definitely a prosecco not champagne. Also they were out of Gulf Oysters which they offer at a great price. The other option is a significantly smaller and more expensive northern oyster that pales in comparison to a big Gulf oyster. The food: 2 of my companions ordered crab cake entrees and they were the best crake cake we have ever had. I was stealing off their plates the entire time. Even the remoulade was note-worthy. Best crab cake in the Houston area, hands dawn. Also it came with carrots. I thought CARROTS? They were out of this world. Everyone ate all their carrots. I ordered the red snapper etouffee and it was delicious. I would have preferred it with a little bed of pasta or rice than the mashed potato but the fish and shrimp were perfectly prepared. It was a delicious entree and perfectly cooked. The complimentary bread is very good. Crusty, warm excellent butter. I would have left 5 stars had it not been for the oysters and the "prosecco". Other than that, it was worth the money, had excellent service, and I highly recommend.

We had a party of nearly 30 people, and there were two other large parties in the same dining room, and it wasn't crowded. Great room for a group event! Windows all around, nice scenery of the marina and trees. This dining room also opens up to a large patios overlooking the water, trees, etc. It was a really pretty. A piano player played live music as we dined, took photos and took turns sharing kind words about the birthday girl. All of that was the best part. The service was just okay. I'd give it a 6.5/10. They were timid and didn't move quickly. What I did appreciate is that they had two main servers plus two floater guys who just kept refilling water and bringing bread and straws. These guys were the real superstars. The food... eh. I took out my Yelp menu vision and read the reviews, and nothing really seemed like it was going to be good. I settled on the Oysters Rockefeller and a cup of gumbo. The oysters came out hard and dry, but we'd waited so long that I ate them. 5/10. The gumbo was just so-so. 5.5/10. Everyone around me said the same thing. Someone got the loaded shrimp scampi and set it back because it was completely tasteless. Others got the shrimp and grits and other entrees. When asked about how they were, everyone said, "Ehhh, you know... it's all right. Not that good, but not terrible either. Just okay." That was the consensus across the 30-person group. BUT there were two items the ladies said were actually good: the wedge salad and the salmon. Those who chose those items had a great meal!

Best Bites takes you to Seabrook!…read more Today, while visiting my grandson, we enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Athena's Corner Greek Restaurant in Seabrook, and it was absolutely delicious! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm Mediterranean charm. The restaurant is beautiful, inviting, and filled with Greek-inspired décor. You can choose to dine inside or relax on their lovely outdoor patio. Our waitress, Rachel, was exceptional--friendly, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. She made us feel right at home! We kicked off our meal with a couple of appetizers, and they were every bit as impressive as they were delicious. The hummus was smooth, creamy, and served with warm, fluffy pita bread. We also enjoyed the falafels--perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside, and even better dipped in their spicy feta spread! For my entrée, I chose the Lunch Special featuring a savory spinach pie, served with a fresh Greek salad and a cup of their famous Avgolemono (Greek lemon soup) . It was light, comforting, and packed with flavor. My grandson ordered the Chickpea Salad , a dish he loved so much on a previous visit that he couldn't resist ordering it again. That's always a good sign! My husband selected the Stuffed Shrimp Special . The plate was absolutely beautiful--jumbo baked shrimp stuffed with a savory crab dressing, served over a bed of mushroom orzo. It tasted every bit as incredible as it looked! If you're ever in Seabrook, Texas, and you're craving something fresh, flavorful, and satisfying, I highly recommend Athena's Corner Greek Restaurant. You'll enjoy a relaxing atmosphere, outstanding hospitality, and food that's made with care and bursting with authentic flavor. Best Bites Approved! Have you been to Athena's Corner? We were immediately greeted by a staff member, and we told them we had an existing reservation. We were seated promptly. The decor is aspiring to be upscale but falls short. I immediately noticed that the tables were not solid and were covered in white tablecloths. The chairs are not comfortable and have no padding. Our server greeted us and brought out water. He said there is a large tap selection, and I was welcome to check it out at the bar. I made my way to the bar, and they have an extensive IPA selection. I am not an IPA drinker but did manage to find a lager I have never heard of and chose it without any hesitation, Deca Loteria was the name! I made my way back. Oh, I did want to mention the bartender was very accommodating and let me sample 2 beers. I went with the HRW selection of chicken and andouille sausage gumbo, crispy coconut shrimp, De Constructed Beef Wellington, and Whiskey Bread Pudding. My wife went with the Cajun Shrimp Pasta and my daughter with the drunken steak tacos w charro beans. My two favorite dishes were the coconut shrimp and Beef Wellington. Shrimp was nice and freshly hot, and my Wellington was perfectly cooked medium! I thought the gumbo was good but didn't have a kick, and I didn't even ask for Tabasco for it. lol.The Roux was also not thick enough. The bread pudding was merely a sample, and it was smaller than most desserts at other concepts. In addition to dining, we tried our hand at Trivia. They have several specials going on different days of the week. I really enjoyed the food here but not the atmosphere and decor. I also feel that tipping should be up to me and not levied an automatic 20% gratuity. Tipping should always be up to the guest, and it is not based on the total with tax.
