I've been dining at Saltgrass for quite a while now, and there's one big reason I keep coming back: Bree. In fact, I always ask to be seated in her section because I know I'm going to have an exceptional experience every single time. Bree is one of those rare people who genuinely loves taking care of her guests. She remembers people, pays attention to the little details, and always makes you feel like you're her most important table. She's incredibly attentive without hovering, checks in at just the right times, and always seems to know exactly what you need before you even have to ask. Beyond being an outstanding server, Bree is simply an amazing person. She's warm, kind, genuine, and has a way of making every visit feel special. Her positive attitude is contagious, and it's obvious that she truly cares about her customers and takes pride in making sure everyone leaves happy. Great food will bring you to a restaurant once. Amazing people like Bree are what keep you coming back. Saltgrass is incredibly lucky to have her, and she's the standard by which I compare service everywhere else. If you have the chance, ask for Bree. You'll understand why so many of us keep coming back to sit in her section.

We drive all the way here from baytown, and love the service and food here! Bree is an amazing server 10/10 recommend!

I have driven past this place for years and finally decided to try a Salt Grass! I was slightly confused by the back entrance. Also, they have you go through the kitchen to the front. I wasn't sure if I needed to put gloves on. lol. Anyhow, we ended up in the banquet hall. Our waiter provided excellent service as he checked on us frequently. Our food was out in a good amount of time. We were provided with recommendations from the menu. I opted for the lunch special which was the steak and potato. My happy hour drink was ok! A Cosmo. The mashed potatoes were really good and the steak was good. I also received a salad as part of my meal. I enjoyed my first experience at a Salt Grass and I plan on trying others.

You bet I ate all my leftovers the next day!

We love going to Saltgrass for a great meal and it never disappoints, especially at this location. It's a small and quaint (not exactly everything is bigger in Texas) location but we've had so many great meals here over the years! The quality control and management at this location is always on point! We usually like to be served by David if he is there, but this past Father's Day we were served by Bree who was a breeze of fresh and delightful air! She was not only so sweet and kind but an excellent server taking care of us and the tables around us. She made sure to ask if people wanted this or that on the side and gave recommendations and thoughts. You could tell she really cared to provide excellent service, and she did! Thanks Bree and Saltgrass team!

We had a Birthday lunch, the location is a bit small but the service is outstanding! Decent parking, clean restrooms overall a fantastic experience! I had the Chicken Laredo. Perfect plate, even the green beans were delicious. Our waiter was extremely attentive and never forgot about us!

Came here for their Houston restaurants weeks menu as it was a great deal, 4 courses for $39! We decided to split an order, 1st course was a house salad which was so refreshing and had tasty crunchy croutons in it. Second course was shrimp cocktail which was delish with a lil heat to jump start your palate. 3rd course was a sirloin steak with grilled shrimp. Steak was cooked to perfection, and the grilled shrimp was seasoned and grilled just right. 4th course was a cheesecake served with strawberry compote and White chocolate sauce. The cheesecake was nice and moist and was a perfect way to end the meal. The atmosphere was busy, yet the service was on point.

The lobster was the star of the evening! There's something about a good seafood dish, a well made drink, and being able to sit at the bar and enjoy your own company that makes for a lovely night out. I also appreciate restaurants where you can have a full dining experience without necessarily needing a table or a special occasion. Sometimes you just want to pull up a barstool, order something delicious, and enjoy your evening. Definitely a nice option for a solo dinner, a casual date, or an evening out when you're in the mood to indulge a little. And yes, I'm always here for a restaurant that makes dining at the bar feel like an experience of its own. Good seafood and a cocktail will get me every time!

Our server was nice enough service was not bad, they were efficient. The seafood is not wild caught and the prices do not align. I ordered the superfood salad um...there was nothing super about it. It was very underwhelming and quite disappointing. I also ordered the whipped sweet potatoes and the crispy shrimp. Crispy they were not and they weren't good they weren't either..

We enjoyed a glass or two of wine, tossed some darts, and soaked in the relaxed, unpretentious vibe. It is casual in the right way. Easy to talk, easy to stay, and not trying too hard to be anything other than a solid local bar. The real highlight, though, is Posty the bar cat. An adorable black and white cat who clearly runs the place. Getting to know Posty outside was an unexpected and genuinely charming moment that made the stop memorable. If you are a cat person, this alone will win you over. Even if you are not, it is hard not to smile. Great drinks, darts, friendly energy, and a bar cat that steals the show. Post Beer & Wine is exactly the kind of place you hope to find when hopping around Houston, and absolutely worth a stop even if you are not on a crawl.

Me and a friend came here on a whim. We were in Houston and was headed to one place when we…read morestumbled across this place. We walked and and you had to have reservations however they had 2 spots at the bar upstairs so we sat there. It was a fine dining place and we were a bit casual but still nice where we didn't stick out so terribly..lol SERVICE: We were probably at the bar I would say at least 10 mins before anyone greeted us. And 2 ladies to our right may have been there I would say about 15 mins before us, only b/c they didn't have anything in front of them just yet. Looked like thwy hadn't been there long, however, evwrytime I turned around this guy kept checking on them making sure they were good. He seemed to be some sort of manager. Anyhoo, finally a server came and greeted us. She had a unique name that now I have forgotten, but anyhoo, she was really nice. It was restaurante month there so we took advantage of there pre-made menu that came with a 3 course meal excluding drinks. We were served our drinks and not to long our apps. And the ladies next to us may have been 5 mins in between us ordering. However their food would come out fast. Once our apps were finished I know it had to have been 20 mins or longer before our food came out whereas the ladies next to use finished there apps not to long before us and had their food in the next 10 mins or so. They were actually just about done eating their main course and our food hadn't even came out yet. Then a server brought us over the desserts and I was like we hadn't had our meal yet. At this point I was a bit upset b/c I felt like since we were 2 women of color we were being over looked. There wasn't many ppl of color in this place. Matter-of-fact I think I only saw one other table that had ppl of color sitting at it. Other than that it was just us. So I th3n ask for a manager. He came, same guy that had been fawning over the ladies next to us, amd he gave some lame excuse for th3 delay and mix up with the desserts and offered us a glass of Champagne, I don't even like Champagne, he could have offered either a drink of our choice of maybe a bit off the bill for the delay. I understood it was busy, but they also know it was restaurant week and they wasn't a delay with the ladies next to us. So I felt like he was a bit dismissive and I did t appreciate it. If it hadn't been for the service or our waiter we might not have stayed. FOOD: Now I will say the food was soo good. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the beef salad although it came stacked and looked so great and my friend had the meatballs which she raved about. For dinner we both had the salmon which was superb. So no complaints here. Then the desserts. I had the carrot cake and she had the chocolate genache cake. They were delightful AMBIANCE: It was packed but not uncomfortable it was just a lot of ppl. But it also was quite a big place. They had a downstairs, upstairs and an outside area, so lots of seating, however they were extremely full. The bar was quite roomy and luckily we were able to take the end corner part which was perfect, b/c not a lot of ppl passing by us. Like we had our own little section. All in all is was nice, I would only go back during restaurant month or with a date who was paging b/c outside the prepaid menu which was $55 (not including drinks) most meals went from $40-$200pp and that is no exaggeration. So yea it was quite the fine dining experience.

The food was delicious the pastas were great. I think we literally ordered everything off the menu. We had the oysters on a half shell calabrian chili mignonette and that was a good 7 out of 10. It had a tangy or citrus aftertaste I didn't like too much. We have the Polpette which are classic meatballs with tomato sauce and with ricotta. I'd say these were a good 9 out of 10. A solid meatball with good flavor. Robust. Rich. The rigatoni ala vodka was delicious. It had tomato cream sauce with Parmigiano-Reggiano and it's a good 9 out of 10. We actually had a second order of this! The Caesar salad was delicious and rich. All the flavors and seasonings on top.. just like I like it. Every lettuce was covered in Caesar dressing and it was super yummy. The cacio e pepe was yummy. I had a parmigiano and black pepper. Overall the pastas were just really delicious. I would give this a 10 out of 10. We ordered another round of this one as well. The Tuscan fried Chicken had artichokes and lemon and garlic aioli and we would say this is a solid 9 out of 10 as well. It was well fried and well coated with good ingredients and flavor. The veil Bolognese was okay. Not my favorite but it wasn't bad. But definitely not something I would order again. Maybe a 7 out of 10. We also had the grilled shrimp skewers that were covered in Olive oil, salt, calabrian garlic butter, and lemon. A solid 8 out of 10. I mean, I know you can mess up shrimp but.. not shrimp skewers. So these were quite yummy. I will certainly visit again because we just had these happy hour items since we were there for business meeting. I would love to have dinner and see how that menu is!

On this visit, I had the Cacio e Pepe, Rigatoni alla Vodka, and two rounds of the Rosso. Both pastas delivered, the service was great, and the smaller portions were well suited to a light bite. It's an easy place to return to because I know what I'm getting, and I usually leave pleased that I came. Being a regular does come with one reservation: I would love to see more seasonality in the happy-hour menu. The familiar dishes are solid, but even favorites become a little predictable with enough visits. A few rotating options would give those of us who keep coming back something new to explore. My more immediate concern is the patio. Happy hour is limited to the bar area and outdoors, and during those 90-degree Houston days, the afternoon sun hits the front of the restaurant with remarkable precision. Unfortunately, its target is the customer. An awning, better shade, or misting fans would make a considerable difference. During this visit, I became hot and sweaty enough to ask for the check earlier than I wanted. I had come for two pastas and a couple of drinks; the complimentary roasting was unnecessary. These are things I'd like to see improved at a restaurant I already enjoy and regularly recommend. Marmo's happy hour is an excellent value and remains one of my favorites. Some seasonal variety and relief from the afternoon sun would give me even more reason to linger.
