Had a reservation for 7 to celebrate a bridal brunch. This was the perfect place for a light and healthy brunch! We started with a carafe of mimosas for the table, BYO so we were able to choose our juice of choice. The mimosas were champagne heavy with a splash of pomegranate juice, just the way I like them. I had the kale Caesar wrap with a side of greens. I loved the dressing on the greens! I wish the Caesar wrap came with more dressing but the kale was soft and there was a lot of chicken in the wrap! After brunch we headed over to the coffee bar. I was very impressed with all of their seasonal lattes. I ordered their anniversary special dot cake latte. The latte wasn't the best, the sprinkles were the saving grace. I would definitely eat here again!
I have no words this is such an amazing place! Everything is healthy, organic, and it's easy to know you are putting good things into your body. It's a restaurant and convenience store all bundled into one! Most of the restaurant items are organic or grass fed. It's easy to choose something on the menu because you can specify if you have any allergies or modify easily! I got the quinoa breakfast bowl and sometimes I just catch myself thinking about it because it's that good. It's savory topped with chipotle aïoli!
Truffle Fries (5/5): Thin and crispy, these were great fries both in terms of texture and flavor. The aoili paired nicely with the fries too. Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich (3/5): Not spicy at all and also not enough honey flavor. There was way too much of the soft scrambled egg, and it wasn't a good fit for the sandwich. The fried chicken was crispy but there was something about the flavor that I wasn't a huge fan of. RATING SYSTEM 5 - Great (Need to get this again) 4 - Good (Would get this again) 3 - Ok (Might give this another shot) 2 - Not Good (Won't get this again) 1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this)
The strawberry fields forever drink literally changed my life. This is the best latte I've ever had. I'm not a daily coffee drinker at all, but after trying this drink for the first time, I've literally been going every single day. I also love the spicy caesar wrap!!! So good. I'm now a regular.
My new favorite fast casual place in Charlotte! I don't really change my order here, so I always get the Five Star Steak sandwich (minus mayo), sub for a side of watermelon salad, and add a pasta salad as well if I'm feeling super hungry. Love all those things every single time, they're soooooo yummy. The steak sandwich is sweet, yet savory, a perfect combo (I don't like mayo much, so I always get it without because I think the fig jam and tomatoes gives enough flavoring). The watermelon salad is so refreshing, and love the "bite" the pickled red onions and feta give it. The pasta salad is filling and yummy, though I do always pick around the olives (olives aren't my fave) - the combo with the corn and sweet potatoes is very unique. Service is always friendly here. When I've sat inside at the bar, I've had very fast and kind service. Also yummy mimosas with the right orange juice to sparkling wine ratio. When I've ordered to go, it's exactly as I ordered it, and everyone is kind when I'm picking it up. The South End location can get a bit busy on the weekends, but I was there on a Sunday mid afternoon last time, and there was plenty of bar seating still available. Whenever I'm hungry for something fast casual now, this is my go-to spot!
Went on a quiet Saturday afternoon. It wasn't crazy busy so it was nice to sit, eat, and relax. The beans still had a slight bite to them rather than fully soft. I did like how they had options on how you wanted to "Build Your Own" espresso martini. I did Tequila instead of Vodka.
Arguably one of the best coffees I have ever had in my life -- strawberry fields forever is stunning and so nice I went back TWICE. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming -- both times we were greeted upon entrance to the shop, they helped us decide on what we wanted, and were incredibly knowledgeable! You can sit inside, outside, or at the bar. The vibe is extremely chill and perfect for a quick coffee date or a bite to eat. PLUS ITS LOCAL!!!!!!
I don't know what they did today but this was the best smash burger they have ever made. Amazing char and super well placed ingredients. Wow. The server was great, restaurant was clean and management was attentive. I'm so excited to go back.
Stopped in for a quick breakfast while visiting my friend in Charlotte. It was very cute inside with a little grocery of organic food and drink. The breakfast sandwich has great flavor, the bagel and ciabatta bread could have had more flavor. Bandito burrito has a hash brown in it and had a nice Chipotle aioli.
Honestly so good! The truffle fries were the star of the show for sure. Good service and a variety of options as well.
Came here since it's near the office. It's big space provides lots of seating options. They have barstools/table at the windows (great for solo dining) and tables throughout the side and back areas. You order and then they'll call your name when order is ready for pick up at the station by the register. There is also a full bar. I haven't had any of their drinks but wanted to note it. I always get the chicken caesar salad wrap and truffle fries. The wrap is dry af! I usually ask for an extra dressing or 2 so that I don't choke. The chicken is grilled and appears to be the frozen kind. Not fresh chicken. Bland, the flavor comes from the dressing. The truffle fries are my favorite part when cooked well. Not included with the wrap, but I add it on the side to be full. They're shoestring width and have the right amount of flavor and parmesan cheese. Sometimes they can be overcooked and appears brown instead of golden. They have an app for online orders. Good if you want to order ahead and pick up without waiting. And you earn points. Overpriced. The value for what they offer doesn't align. What I mentioned above would be around $20. I come here for convenience but it's not often that I do.
Grand opening was a hit!!! This is a fun place to come grab breakfast, lunch, dinner or a cocktail. Even if you want to lounge, work remote and snack while you work. There is a small section of available seating outside and a parking deck and street parking to accommodate the larger crowd. It's the perfect location of south end. Since it's new there are still a few kinks to work out but overall the food is very very good. It's immaculately clean inside!! There's a perfect view of the kitchen and I like how no matter where you sit it's the perfect view. Whether you're popping in for fresh produce, a bottle of wine, prepared meals or pastries they have what you want. Check out the broth bar also! I can't say enough other than I wish there was one in Mooresville. I really like this spot. It'll be one of my regular go to places! read more

Cute little concept nestled in South End. I didn't LOVE it but I also went right after the opening date for dinner. We made a reservation. If you plan on coming over a weekend I recommend you do the same. If there is a wait you can shop around in the grocery area. They have some interesting finds, a lot of fresh food to go, beer, wine, baked goods, etc! Will definitely come again for breakfast. Dinner selection sounded great, lots of options but for the price I wasn't "wowed" by what I ordered. I got the market chop salad with salmon. I asked for no cucumbers, they came with anyways. Not a big deal I thought I'll just pick them out. Well, they were chopped so small it was a pain to pick at my salad. The salmon was very dry and lacked flavor. Do not recommend adding salmon. My friend got the beets me salad- you would think there would be a plethora of beets because of the name right?! Once again chopped very small and not a lot of them. My other friend got the fried chicken entree. The menu is misleading the fried chicken should be listed as a sandwich because that's how it came. Nothing to write home about there either. We all split an order of the truffle fries- those were our favorite! I definitely recommend those to share. Service was great, very attentive and welcoming. We wanted dessert afterwards so we headed to the bakery and got cookies. Some sort of sea salt/brown butter cookie and let me tell you...delicious. I feel like I would love this place for breakfast or to grab a quick lunch on the go. I loved all of their cold grocery items up front. Dinner just wasn't the one. They have a few patio tables outside (dog friendly). Come early for a spot outside or be prepared to wait. There's a public parking garage right behind the building, which is super convenient. No validated parking though so that's a bummer. read more
Summary: Cute place, good food and nice ambiance. Last night we went to this establishment for dinner and they had a female Guitar player for entertainment, what a bonus! Service was good and the food quality was also quite good, however the execution on the food was just a tad bit off. I am still giving them 4 stars as the overall experience was good. Further details on experience: We tried an appetizer (short rib crostini) it was very delicious however the bread was too soft in my opinion. I would have enjoyed the dish more if the bread was a touch crispy. My wife had the Salmon farro which looked great and she really liked it. The presentation was very nice, sorry I didn't have a picture to post. I had the RIGATONI ALLA BUTTERA which tasted good but unfortunately was not that hot, more like luke warm. The pasta was a bit cold but the sauce was warmer making it ok to eat, just not the best execution I was hoping for. I chose not to mention it since I didn't notice it until after the server left and I didn't it want to wait to have it warmed since we both received our entrees at the same time (perhaps mine was done ahead of my wife's and sat a bit before serving us both). For dessert we had the Apple Dumplings Cake (as they called it). Unfortunately this also had parts that were not as hot. The manager had it remade after I commented on it and suggested the ice cream probably contributed to the apple filling not being as warm. I greatly appreciated the remake. I will definitely go back to try other things. read more

Interesting place with a great dinner menu. We came on a Sat night and sat at the bar. It wasn't very busy so plenty of seating options. They had the doors open so it was a little chilly inside - so bring a jacket. Beer options were fine with some local options - seems like they specialize in mixed drinks. My bride ordered the Farmstand Salad ($10) and enjoyed it. I went with the Rigatoni Alla Buttera ($18) and it was tasty. Service was good at the bar. We will come back again and try some of the other items on the menu. read more

I wasn't that impressed with salted melon. The food was not anything crazy special. I felt like my salad didn't have much flavor and the vinaigrette really overpowered everything. I did enjoy my margarita and will need to come back to try their espresso martinis. read more

Everything I've had at Salted Melon has been delicious. The service is friendly and the ambiance is perfect. They always play good music in here and it's not too loud. Tons of seating and it's nice you can order to-go food from the coffee counter. They have a lot of food options, but I really enjoy the steak in my meals. The cocktails were superb and tasted fresh. I will be coming back for the espresso bar!! read more

They were both much better than I expected. Pretty good. A bit pricey... But I'd buy again happily. read more
This is the cutest little market I've found so far in the QC. I enjoyed the wrap I had that was recommended by on of the staff. Very fresh and super tasty! I paired my wrap and fries with a BYO Margarita, love this concept!! I opted for the passion fruit and jalapeño with jalapeño salt rim. Although it took the bartender a while to take our order(she ignored us a while while talking to others, then cleaning, etc.), I did enjoy my margarita once I finally got it. Overall stopping in on a Monday was a great choice! Not very busy and allowed you to peruse the market without the crowd. I recommend checking it out if you haven't yet! read more
I really like this marketplace and eatery In south end. I come more for coffee or lunch than the marketplace, which is really nice and has a variety of specialty/artisanal items but is kinda pricey. The coffee/latte drinks are delicious and all of the lunch items are really good too, my favorites are the beet salad or the chicken Caesar wrap with fries. I always need an extra side of dressing for the salad or to dip the wrap and fries in. There is plenty of seating for groups of all sizes, with some tables being outside on the patio/sidewalk area. Overall a great option for a meal or snack in south end! read more
I love the salted melon!!! It is such a relaxing spot to work, hangout with friends, or grab drinks. Their "make your own" spicy margarita is to die for! As for the food, I enjoyed my perfect pesto sandwich. It was tasty and filling. The location is very walkable. You can also light rail to East/West station and walk from there. Street parking is limited but I think there is a parking deck around the corner. read more

We ordered dinner to go. I was so looking forward to the farm stand. I ordered the wrong salad, fall harvest. I did not like the tea poached pear but the salad was ok.. I look forward to trying another vegetarian choice. The club was said to be good but not great. read more
Love this place! Cute market of small grocery items on the side. The wine bottle prices in the cooler? Descent price if you split it in my opinion. I settled for 1 glass $10 at the bar. How the food ordering works: Order at the register (the line was long but moved quick) Grab a number Grab utensils & napkins before heading to your table, bar, or lounge seating area Food took about 15 mins or less The bar had a descent amount of seating. It gets busy near the table at the bar, so beware, because the aisle is tight. (I only say this because a lady tried to push her baby carriage though & we had scoot up a bit) Family place, I saw lots of baby carriages and kids. Friendly & date night place as well though, I saw couples and grounds of friends young and older. Food is great! read more
After calling and speaking to a manager about not having the produce from my previous app order, SM sent me a gift certificate. This time, I didn't want to risk something not being available via the app, so I ordered at the counter. I got the steak sandwich to go. The steak itself was okay but the toppings and bread really made the sandwich. Overall, a tasty meal. read more

The espresso martini bar where you can build it how you want with choice of liquor, flavor and toppings is smart of the Salted Menu! Had me hooked and caffeinated and buzzed, ha. I wanted to try multiple kinds so I did. My wallet wasn't happy but my taste buds were satisfied. Good food too and will definitely return. Super cute decor and style. read more
I've been here twice in the last couple weeks and was disappointed both times. My company had catered lunch from here a couple months ago and I enjoyed the globetrotter wrap so I decided to come on my own. Unfortunately, it wasn't the same experience. I'm giving 2 stars because the catered lunch was good. But when I came for my own lunch I couldn't even manage to eat half of it. The wrap was extremely soggy and tasteless. It wasn't good at all. I ended up throwing it away. The desserts looked great so I said I'd come back and give it another try at least for that. Unfortunately, that was a massive disappointment as well. Once again, I ate a few bites and then it ended up in the trash. I wish I had better things to say but unfortunately I can't. This isn't a place that I would recommended to anyone. read more

The Country Club sandwich was delicious! This one didn't come with that awkward piece of bread in the middle like most Club sandwiches do. Get it with a side of truffle fries - that garlic ranch dip is to die for. I got The Notorious B.E.C on an everything bagel. It came with scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, bacon and sriracha aioli but I didn't taste the aioli. Definitely recommend adding some hot sauce because the egg didn't have much taste. read more

The food was good just a little underseasoned. It was pretty quiet until a group came in. It's a cute little shop, and the menu prices are reasonable. I would go back, but just don't expect fantastic food. The server was pretty quick and attentive. read more

Not a fan. I had been long awaiting the opening of the mysterious and magical "Salted Melon" only to be gravely disappointed. I came on a Sunday and wondered why I found parking so quickly. Well, because no one wants to come here. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it literally had no taste. The eggs seems fake. No seasoning...nothing. The most bland and underwhelming burrito I have ever eaten. I decided against a cocktail due to the horrible burrito. Coffee was just "ok". Better for the price at Starbucks. Also the lid leaked, wouldn't stay on and so I just had to take it off after it got all over me and the bar. The shop is filled with overly priced items that you could just buy somewhere else. It felt cold inside, uninviting. Staff at the counter was nice. Bartender didn't greet or acknowledge. Won't be going back! Couldn't get out fast enough! read more
Have been here twice and it's grown on me. Salted Melon is a good place for that weekend lunch and round of drinks. Both times I've seen friend groups parked for the afternoon at a table. They offer just about anything you could want from food, to draft beer, to specialty cocktails. It's a pretty inviting place that's easily accessible two blocks from the rail trail. The service has been quick. I'm thinking I'll be back for the breakfast menu next. read more

My friend and I decided to come eat here for lunch after she gave great feedback on a salad she had here a while back. This is located in southend so parking can be crazy. They do have side street parking if you are lucky enough to snag a spot or a parking garage, but I believe they do not validate parking. Upon entering, they have a little store set up with a lot of spices, snacks, and jams to look at. This is on the more casual side. You go up to the counter, place your order, and then go sit wherever you'd like, and they bring the food out. I ordered the Street Car bowl. It comes with steak, corn, rice, beans, roasted tomatoes, and red peppers. I also ordered their truffle fries. Now the bowl, tbh was very bland and not tasteful at all. I was initially put off by the THREE pieces of steak they decided to give me. THREE! I ended up cutting them into tiny pieces just so that I could have enough pieces to last me the entire bowl but I felt for $15 that I paid, I could have gotten more than three pieces of steak. The rice and beans had no real flavor at all. It did come with a side sauce, but that didn't really make any flavor pop out. I also added hot sauce but still didn't make a difference. Too me, it was just very bland and nothing spectacular. The truffle fries, though, wrote delicious. I think I enjoyed those most than the bowl itself. I wished they were a bit more crispier, but after a no flavorful dish, I felt like that truffle flavor really made it for me. I also got their cranberry mimosa, which was delicious. Never go bad with a mimosa. I'm not sure if I will come again. With the hassle of parking and bland flavor, it wouldn't be a place I would go out of my way to come back. If I happen too, I may try something different. Overall, the employees were super nice and a very clean, organized location. read more

Best martini in Clt! We got BYO espresso martini 1. With grey goose, vanilla & chocolate shavings 2. Casamigos tequila, caramel & chocolate shavings read more
Kind of a bummer to be honest. This review is specifically about their dinner menu. The atmosphere here is so great and I'd gladly come here to snag a few groceries or even work from their cute lounge area. The service and staff were great as well but the food wasn't as wonderful. Started with the beet salad which was pretty good but the farro tasted a little undercooked. I ordered the braised short rib and was really disappointed. It came with a side of potatoes and the entire dish tasted like a ziploc bag. Food came out super quick, so I guess it's all made to order. Just a bummer. read more
Amazing food and vibe, it is a grocery store, restaurant and casual eatery all in one! I came here on a Friday night and it was packed. The restaurant had a 30 minute wait, so my friends and I just sat on the casual eatery side and ordered at the counter. They had a live musician playing too which was nice. The best part of this place is the food. I got the kale Cobb salad and it was the best salad that I have had in a long time. Between the very fresh and tender kale to the hard boiled egg, avocado, and green goddess dressing, I didn't know I could enjoy a salad so much. I also ordered the seasonal mojito which happened to be blackberry and it was also great. However the bar staff were extremely busy and it took about 20 minutes of me standing at the bar before I got my drink. Overall highly recommend as a new place to check out in south end! read more
Cute little spot over in south end! Saw the promo over on Instagram soo went during lunch with a coworker. Got a salad which was good! If I decide to come back it will be a different option. The refresher is absolutely amazing ! It's a plus that you get $5 off of your first order. read more
