    Strawberry Fields Forever
    Kaitlyn M.

The strawberry fields forever drink literally changed my life. This is the best latte I've ever had. I'm not a daily coffee drinker at all, but after trying this drink for the first time, I've literally been going every single day. I also love the spicy caesar wrap!!! So good. I'm now a regular.

Truffle Fries (5/5): Thin and crispy, these were great fries both in terms of texture and flavor. The aoili paired nicely with the fries too. Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich (3/5): Not spicy at all and also not enough honey flavor. There was way too much of the soft scrambled egg, and it wasn't a good fit for the sandwich. The fried chicken was crispy but there was something about the flavor that I wasn't a huge fan of. RATING SYSTEM 5 - Great (Need to get this again) 4 - Good (Would get this again) 3 - Ok (Might give this another shot) 2 - Not Good (Won't get this again) 1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this)

Solid brunch spot. Cute interior and quick service. Food just felt a tad bit too greasy.

Went on a quiet Saturday afternoon. It wasn't crazy busy so it was nice to sit, eat, and relax. The beans still had a slight bite to them rather than fully soft. I did like how they had options on how you wanted to "Build Your Own" espresso martini. I did Tequila instead of Vodka.

My new favorite fast casual place in Charlotte! I don't really change my order here, so I always get the Five Star Steak sandwich (minus mayo), sub for a side of watermelon salad, and add a pasta salad as well if I'm feeling super hungry. Love all those things every single time, they're soooooo yummy. The steak sandwich is sweet, yet savory, a perfect combo (I don't like mayo much, so I always get it without because I think the fig jam and tomatoes gives enough flavoring). The watermelon salad is so refreshing, and love the "bite" the pickled red onions and feta give it. The pasta salad is filling and yummy, though I do always pick around the olives (olives aren't my fave) - the combo with the corn and sweet potatoes is very unique. Service is always friendly here. When I've sat inside at the bar, I've had very fast and kind service. Also yummy mimosas with the right orange juice to sparkling wine ratio. When I've ordered to go, it's exactly as I ordered it, and everyone is kind when I'm picking it up. The South End location can get a bit busy on the weekends, but I was there on a Sunday mid afternoon last time, and there was plenty of bar seating still available. Whenever I'm hungry for something fast casual now, this is my go-to spot!

I don't know what they did today but this was the best smash burger they have ever made. Amazing char and super well placed ingredients. Wow. The server was great, restaurant was clean and management was attentive. I'm so excited to go back.

Arguably one of the best coffees I have ever had in my life -- strawberry fields forever is stunning and so nice I went back TWICE. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming -- both times we were greeted upon entrance to the shop, they helped us decide on what we wanted, and were incredibly knowledgeable! You can sit inside, outside, or at the bar. The vibe is extremely chill and perfect for a quick coffee date or a bite to eat. PLUS ITS LOCAL!!!!!!

Stopped in for a quick breakfast while visiting my friend in Charlotte. It was very cute inside with a little grocery of organic food and drink. The breakfast sandwich has great flavor, the bagel and ciabatta bread could have had more flavor. Bandito burrito has a hash brown in it and had a nice Chipotle aioli.

We had a lot of requests bc of a work lunch - staff was super receptive and kind. Energy was great for lunch! Fun for a Friday but still could converse about work. They had breakfast and lunch items, but I went with lunch.

Chicken caesar salad wrap and truffle fries

Came here since it's near the office. It's big space provides lots of seating options. They have barstools/table at the windows (great for solo dining) and tables throughout the side and back areas. You order and then they'll call your name when order is ready for pick up at the station by the register. There is also a full bar. I haven't had any of their drinks but wanted to note it. I always get the chicken caesar salad wrap and truffle fries. The wrap is dry af! I usually ask for an extra dressing or 2 so that I don't choke. The chicken is grilled and appears to be the frozen kind. Not fresh chicken. Bland, the flavor comes from the dressing. The truffle fries are my favorite part when cooked well. Not included with the wrap, but I add it on the side to be full. They're shoestring width and have the right amount of flavor and parmesan cheese. Sometimes they can be overcooked and appears brown instead of golden. They have an app for online orders. Good if you want to order ahead and pick up without waiting. And you earn points. Overpriced. The value for what they offer doesn't align. What I mentioned above would be around $20. I come here for convenience but it's not often that I do.

I was craving the super Caesar wrap and decided to try this location. I was grabbing it to go and thought for sure they would validate my parking. Nope so word to the wise find street parking or order in advance and just run in to pick it up otherwise this could be a costly meal with the parking included. The wrap was delicious and the truffle fries were good but not crispy at all. I also never received a text saying my food was ready I just happened to check the shelf after about 10 mins and my order was ready. Nice cute spot with plenty of seating.

This was a really nice spot for a small brunch. The pancakes were my favorite by far. The eggs Benedict were a bit over cooked but the meal itself was delicious especially the biscuit. The server was amazing and had great recommendations. We did have to wait for our table even though we had a reservation. It was nice to be able to walk the small market while we wait so it made it go by quicker. I would come back here again. There was parking in a garage and street parking but I don't remember if the parking had a cost when I went. Also it wasn't validated.

The Salted Melon has been on my list for places to go in Charlotte for a while now! On a recent trip to Charlotte to visit our daughter, my husband & I had the opportunity to visit The Salted Melon for brunch. What a delight! Although the restaurant seemed quite busy, our party of 3 was seated immediately. We ordered lattes which came out super quick. My daughter ordered the "Poke Me Bowl," my husband ordered the Steak & Eggs and I ordered the "Farmer Breakfast" with the eggs over medium. All of our items were fresh and the food came out quickly. Our server was attentive and friendly. We spent a little time browsing through the store part of the restaurant after we finished our meal and we were all impressed with the variety and the many options for healthy treats. We look forward to coming here again the next time we are in Charlotte.

We had a reservation for Blue Door for Saturday night, and it was amazing. Now while she was vaguely aware of their "spirited kingdom" menu, I had NO CLUE. It was the best surprise! They have such a cool menu with a full theme park map containing 4 lands with 4 cocktails each. The cocktails all match the type of ride they are, it's honestly such a cool idea, and it was so well done. I loved the art. I will say, I was skeptical that all of their drinks would actually work and worried that they'd be too caught up in the theme to make results but . . . Oh my goodness I was so impressed by the drinks here. I think a lot of bars these days can get so caught up in trying to be unique that their drinks become nearly undrinkable. This place definitely doesn't suffer there. They brought us an aperitif when we came in, but unfortunately I have a blueberry allergy so we skipped that. We had 4 drinks between the 2 of us and they were all awesome. I ordered the star breaker and the green dragon (what can I say, I love gin and a good coaster), and they were both balanced and tasty. My friend got the diablo and the neon shift, and they were both fantastic as well! The neon shift was served with a black light too which was super cute. The one drink I have to call out specifically is the green dragon. There was something about this drink that was so unique, I have genuinely never had anything like it but I would order it a thousand times over. It's so good. It keeps me up at night. It haunts my every bar order. I will be writing home about it. What else can I say about this place - the service was great, the atmosphere was fun, and the DJ was amazing. I thought "wow this guy really likes sax covers" only to look over and see him PLAYING HIS SAXOPHONE LIVE?? Iconic. This place was perfect and I wouldn't change a thing about it. The spirited kingdom menu will only be around for 6 months according to the waitress, so definitely catch it while it's there! If I'd heard about it sooner, I would've maybe descended upon them with 200+ theme park engineers in town for the conference (maybe it's a good thing I didn't know they were there until after it was over), but instead I will just say DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND MAKE YOUR RESERVATION NOW

The menu this time is theme park theme... again, a fun concept but not well executed. Pretty overwhelming, especially with the bartenders explaining the menu to us twice with the same spiel there is too much to look at it makes it difficult to pay attention to the drinks. I really did not love my drink (starbreaker?) you could only taste the lychee The bartenders not a vibe, it was not that comfortable to sit at the bar. A bit disappointing, but nothing that took away from the overall experience. Service was great at the bar, and the lounge also has booths and tables for larger parties. We started with the Prosciutto carpaccio and the Whipped Ricotta appetizers to share. Both of those were pretty good and the bread that came along with it was good too. It was grilled and nice and crispy. For drinks, one of my friends ordered the rosé wine flight, I ordered their house red wine, and my other friend ordered wine as well. The wine selection was good so we are pleased with that. It was our main entrées that we ordered that we were not pleased with. For example, I ordered the steak skewer, which I understood would be a small plate, but when it came out to find that it was just one skewer was a little bit misleading, and I wish that I had ordered something else because that was not enough for my dinner. Our server didn't come back to check on us after our food arrived so I wasn't even able to add any more small plates. In addition, my friend did not enjoy her pasta at all, and I tried to bite, and it was not good. Only my friend who ordered the Bolognese pasta was pleased with her dinner choice. Due to our server not coming back to our table to check on us and also didn't really give us suggestions of what to order or how to order I wasn't very pleased with our experience. I don't know if I would come back because honestly, the meal was pretty mid for how expensive it was priced. The inside of the restaurant is cute and the patio as well but the food is mid and expensive for the service to be so poor.
