I had an ice cream craving and decided to check out Salt and Straw! I love how they always have new and interesting flavors. They also encourage you to try all the flavors you want! After trying the seasonal releases, I settled on Cherry Red Velvet Cheesecake in a waffle cone. I don't usually do waffle cones but am glad I did this time because it made a great difference in the experience. It was a great waffle cone. The ice cream was also delicious too! This location was clean and had some outdoor seating. I came by on a Thursday evening around 830-9pm and didn't have to wait very long to be helped! Great stop today after shopping at another store in the plaza. The location is clean and bright. We were greeted right away with smiles and I love that they had so many different unique flavors to choose from. I knew right away. I was getting the coffee and love nuts on a cone. My 15-20 minute wait was well-worth it. My friends and I tried the milkshake with the option to blend up to 3 flavors in the same drink, but we opted for all 3 scoops to be double fold vanilla. It was the best milkshake I've ever had. We also shared a flight that comes in a plastic container with 4 slots for up to 4 scoops. Pors of Gold & Rainbows - based on Lucky charms, as a lucky charms lover, I loved it. Snap N' Crackle Marshmallow Treats - based on rice crispy treats, as a rice Krispies lover, I loved it. Salted, Malted, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough - pretty heavy and decadent, has a savory aspect that adds dimension Hazelnut Cookies & Cream (v) - I usually love cookies and cream, which is why I opted for this, but the hazelnut flavor was what predominated, not my favorite Overall the ice cream is a bit pricey, but SOOOO worth it! Despite parking being a nightmare, even at 1pm on a Friday, Salt and Scoop is a dream! Friendly scoopers, delicious flavors, and, cute storefront. Definitely recommend! They have standard flavors, seasonal flavors, and, unique flavors like my personal new favorite: Strawberry Honey Balsamic with Black Pepper. The ice cream is a little on the denser side, so give it a couple minutes to soften. I bet the scoopers have amazing arm definition! The parking is very tough, no matter the time of day. I recommend parking across the street (southwest corner) at the Park and Ride and walking over. Trust me, the parking lot is nutty here. All and all, pretty cool and solid joint. read more

I've been wanting a Salt & Straw to open near me ever since I first tried it in Portland a few years back!! They have super unique flavors :) I had no idea it opened until I happened to be in the area, and my sister and I decided that we had to get it. Apparently they just opened 2 days ago (nov 7) We walked in and the workers were all so kind, they said you can do unlimited samples (we sampled only the 2 flavors ended up getting, plus the Hazelnut Cookies & Cream, all were very good). We got a double scoop of Cinnamon Snickerdoodle + Strawberry Balsamic in a waffle bowl! They had metal sample straws which you can dispose in chutes (brownie points for sustainability) and had tubs of ice cream that you can take home. The vibes were awesome, they played some throwbacks like Maggie Rogers, One Direction, and Katy Perry lol. Would so come back again, glad they opened here!! read more

The samples were quite generous too. I can imagine parking and lines can be a little difficult for this location so keep that in mind. First time having salt & straw and noticed this location is newer to the area and opened about ~ 2 months ago! You could smell their delicious waffle cones from down the street so I had to stop in. I tried so many flavors and everything was so fresh, unique, and delicious. I loved the honey lavender ice cream, but the BEST was the Strawberry balsamic with black pepper. It was so sweet and unique and paired with a waffle cone made the perfect combo. They don't have any seating inside, but there is seating outside. Some very delicious ice cream! I love that they have a little spoon chute for your tasting spoons. Flavors were delicious but I will say they are all not amazing fabulous 10/10... I like that they have rotations/seasonal flavors. The parking was chaotic and really tough but that plaza has always been like that. Staff are really nice and don't rush us. Inside is very clean with 1 restroom to use. But there's no seating besides 3 benches outside which get crazy busy when there's a crowd. You could stand on the bar thing that separates the queue but I think that might get people confused. read more

Came here for my *first* Yelp Elite event and arrived right as they opened at 11. I was greeted by Rebecca and was able to try a couple of their seasonal items as well as one of her favorites! This included peppermint cocoa with crushed candy canes, almond brittle with salted ganache (seasonal) and salted, malted, chocolate cookie dough (her favorite). Unfortunately, I wasn't able to try the Coffee and Love Nuts or The Great Cookie Swap since they both had pecans (which I'm allergic to), but she told me that the former was her favorite :]. She was also very helpful with respecting my allergy and I'm lucky I was first today so there wasn't any dire risk of cross contamination. After trying them all, I still decided to get olive oil, a classic. I felt like I had good conversation with Rebecca and would love to attend again, hopefully with friends next time. Run don't walk! The wait is finally over. One of my favorite ice cream shops is now open. I must start by saying they really nailed the location. I feel an ice cream spot was needed at Uptown Plaza. The grand opening was today and I stopped by before they closed. Love their hours, they're open from 11 am until 11 pm which is great because who doesn't want ice cream late at night? I love their classics like the salted caramel ribbon or the pear and blue cheese but today I got one of their Thanksgiving seasonal offerings. I love how creative they are and it's always a treat to try what unique combinations they come up with. I tried the pumpkin pie tiramisu but felt it was way too sweet. I ended up getting the Maple Koginut Squash with pomegranate which was so tasty and well balanced. I also got a pup cup for my dog and he was obsessed. Honestly it look appetizing even to me lol. I also got the Tacolate to go which is a one of kind ice cream taco in collaboration with Taco Bell. I haven't tried it yet so I'll report back. Service was great. I don't recall seeing much of a seating area but I may be wrong. Parking is good specially at night but might get busier during the day time. My partner sampled a bunch of flavors (including the olive oil one, which surprisingly works!) and ended up going with the staff recommendation: cinnamon snickerdoodle with coffee and love nuts.
