What a fun little place! Stumbled across a post that was on Facebook and if I didn't, I wouldn't of known you were there. Had a glass of rose and my guest had a flight of reds. Both were great with the conversation from the Winetender. She was knowledgeable, friendly and unobtrusive. I look forward to sitting outside on a warm night to try out a few items on the menu. Acoustic live music for the cooler weather would be great in that space. Wink wink....

I had been a customer of Salt & Bubbles as well as club member for awhile now and alway loved them. When I saw they did weddings I had to have them as our bar service and boy did they deliver! From the day we booked them Kayla was so helpful. She made sure she kept our budget in mind when we had our tasting as well as our individual tastes while also directing us to choose options away from our own taste to ensure all our guests has something they enjoyed. Not only did they provide superb service they also helped out clearing plates which I found out after the wedding and was well out of their scope of why we hired them.

The owner is absolutely adorable and friendly. Answers all questions. Gives great suggestions. Lovely place to go for small plates and charcuterie. Kind of pricey but it's worth it.

Fingerling potatoes with raclette cheese. We ordered a specialty ham on the side.

We were warmly greeted, and they inquired if we were there for a table/bar seating, or the retail shop. We sat at the bar, and there were other customers at tables enjoying a glass and engrossed in conversation. They offer a small snack menu, along with a selection of wines, and they have a good knowledge and will provide counsel on the options. We ordered the ricotta toast and the lonzo, a ham similar to prosciutto. Both were delicious! The lonzo comes with a drizzle of quality olive oil on top, and a sprinkle of salt, and a dab of mustard. The ricotta toast (no pic sorry) was also tasty. The space leans to industrial loft, but is warm and invites conversations and relaxation. The shop also has a retail space, and a monthly wine club subscription is an option. It is separated from the restaurant, but not a quirk of their shop, but archaic Vermont liquor laws. We decide to subscribe and picked up our first selections to take home.

We sat at the bar for glasses of wine with lots of treats: a bowl of yummy olives, fancy tinned fish, bresaola, mind-blowing new award-winning blue cheese from Jasper Hill (withersbrook) and a cherry, tomato, almond, burratini salad...all served with slices of excellent bread. Perfect accompaniments to each plate: lemon and garlic with the fish, cherry conserves with the cheese, etc... We'll be back again and again, with friends in tow.

Radicchio salad was tasty. Interesting cocktails. Had the banana dessert, which was good but needed more banana flavors. Had an unusual ice cream as topping with some crunchy nuts I think. All dishes are for sharing. All tasted good but portions are a little small. Figure 75 per person with one cocktail. I'd go back for a special occasion, when I don't want to stuff myself.

So thought it would be a good choice for dinner. They don't have a website of phone by design so I had no information other then their name/location. Plot twist: their dinner service ended at 9 even though the hours were 5-10. So that in itself is a good reason to have a website OR a phone. We were dropped off to at the charming restaurant via Uber (so lost money there), walked up to very uncomfortable stares from the staff, and were then told we couldn't have dinner. Not the most pleasant experience. The silver lining was the recommendation to go to Hen of the Woods for dinner instead and THAT experience made up for everything

The same large, beautiful windows are there, but the decor is warm, trendy, and modern. Our hostess immediately wished my husband and me happy anniversary and the bartender team Max and Woody were truly outstanding and made our celebration special. They are adept at making cocktails. We tried Blue Bingo and Inside Out. Both were perfectly balanced. The Blue Bingo with fresh blueberry puree, garnished with blueberry and mint was refreshing. The Inside Out was similar to an Old Fashioned. We selected 4 small plates, one large plate, and one side. For small plates, the striped bass collar was meaty and flavored with an herb sauce and punchy blistered cherry tomatoes. The little neck clams came in a broth that was worth sopping up with the grilled sourdough. It was similar to having mussels in a luscious wine butter sauce. I would have eaten like 12 of the clams if they let me but they alas only give you 6. My favorite was grilled Romano beans, slightly crunchy, fresh, and light, with burrata and fried green tomatoes. The breading on the tomatoes was perfectly light and crunchy. The burrata was delicious, and I would have preferred to have it over the barchetta, fresh ravioli like pastas that came with fennel and arugula. The barchetta was missing that creamy element. The served our pork schnitzel as a "splitzel" served cut in half on two plates. Again, it was perfectly crunchy and light. We ordered pomme puree (mashed potatoes) as a side too, creamy and delicious. They had a decent wine and beer selection. We lucked out with our chenin blanc selection, which paired well with everything we had. Eat here! The menu changes every day. We can't wait to come back.

I ordered the Something Fun cocktail, which was fruity, refreshing, and beautifully presented with blue salt speckled around the rim of the glass. For dinner, I had the whole trout in a dill sauce with a side of purple cauliflower. Everything is locally sourced, and while the menu features a few staples, it changes daily. Each menu is date-stamped, which I'm obsessed with--it's a great reminder of how fresh everything is. Vermont generally has a great local food scene, and I really appreciate the thoughtfulness behind the ingredients, presentation, and overall quality. Frankie's is a restaurant I'd highly recommend for groups, family dinners, date nights, or even corporate dinners. I'd love to come back and explore more of their wine selection. The staff is incredibly welcoming, happy to chat, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Expect to spend around $75 per person for a meal, a side or appetizer, and one drink.
